The spectacular ocean views right outside our beautiful front french doors were breathtaking every morning and evening. The charming host that greeted us on our arrival was so friendly and gave us a pleasant run down of local restaurants & his favorite shops. He also explained that he and his wife, who was also so welcoming and helpful on texts she and I had together, setting up this trip and during our stay, had remodeled this gorgeous 1920's California Mission Style home, by the sea, and they did an absolutely exquisite job!! The 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms are just beautifully decorated, with lovely tile work, tastefully appointed furniture, lovely sheets, comforters, pillows, a very firm, comfortable king bed and cozy couches, well stocked kitchen, and sooo peaceful & quiet in the evenings, even though you are on a major street to all the great beach restaurants and Cannery Row just down the street, and the darling town of Pacific Grove. And to wake up every morning and open the drapes to the sparkling Pacific Ocean - I mean - COME ON -- PARADISE!! ARating

Our family of four stayed at Richard and Janes for 4 nights after visiting Yosemite and really enjoyed their place. The location is perfect. We visited the seals across the street multiple times a day, drove all over Big Sur, Monterey, and Carmel and did a ton of sightseeing. Definitely stop at Nepthene’s for lunch! Check in was easy everything you need is close by and within walking distance. Happy Girl coffee shop was our go to for coffee. The homemade jam with toast is amazing! The house was the perfect size and the beds were so comfortable. The fire pit was a perfect way to end the night. Highly recommend!

This is our second stay in this house. It is in a great location, easy walking to restaurants, Lovers Point and Cannery Row. Great ocean view. The place is comfortable with two bedrooms that are separate enough to give privacy. Check-in was easy.

Visited the Monterey Peninsula with another couple after several days in Yosemite and wanted to be able to have a view. Well, Jane’s property certainly offers a view. It is steps from the Coastal Rec Trail, has a direct view of Monterey Bay and a beach on which the harbor seals nest and includes beautiful sunset - all of which you can watch from a porch while sitting next to a fire pit.The house is near everything but is on the Pacific Grove side of Cannery Row, so was very quiet in the evenings.The house itself was great and all four of us commented on how much we loved it and were comfortable in the house - both the bedrooms and living space.Jane was a gracious and helpful host. She provided lots of info before arrival, met us on arrival to get us in and share some local places to walk to dinner, and offered to take group pics of us when we were leaving. She made entire process easy.We all agreed we would love to stay in Jane’s property again!

Jane was very hospitable and easy to communicate with. She gave great recommendations on places to eat and things to do. The check-in was easy and she showed us how the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit worked which was very helpful.The house is exactly like the photos. It is well appointed, very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. The house is in easy walking distance to many attractions and restaurants.I don’t often think of other places I’ve stayed that I’d love to go back to, but I’ll definitely come back here.

My family of 4 loved this property. Very clean - well appointed, and clearly renovated with care and craftsmanship. The view of the cove was beautiful. The location was perfect - both for a day driving down to Big Sur, and a day spent in Monterey. We walked to several meals in the area (so much to choose from). Our host was very communicative, and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

This house is nicely and recently renovated. It is just across the street from the ocean, with rocks and crashing waves and lovely sunsets. Many seals and their babies spend their days stretched out in the sun on the beach. The host lives upstairs and is friendly and helpful.

The location and amenities are spectacular. Richard and Jane are friendly accommodating, and responsive hosts. We truly enjoyed staying at their wonderful home. It is comfortable and inviting. The views are spectacular. and watching the ocean waves and seals on the beach with a cup of coffee in the morning or a cocktail at night with a fire pit to keep you warm is very relaxing.
