About this property
1907 Historic Anderson Farmhouse
The Anderson Farmhouse, a Langley original, built by Great Grandpa Anderson in 1907. A complete restoration, back to its original charm & character. This historic home sits on 20+ acres of fields, gardens, & surrounded by forest. The farm also provides land for Langley Community Gardens, chickens, cows, & a field of blooming dahlia's & farm flowers through summer. Step back in time & enjoy this peaceful mini farm experience. We want to continue to improve our community while preserving history.
The farmhouse is 100+ years old & our family treasure. Our heart was put into a detailed & beautiful restoration of the home. It has provided love & peace for our family since 1907. Items in the home are mostly all original to the farmhouse. Feel free to explore the farm, enjoy the nature and wildlife. Some of the character in the farmhouse come from the original floors, old doors, and original ship lap walls. Due to the age, there are unique qualities & character in the wood and hardware that is just part of the charm of this old farmhouse.
The entire home & 20+ acres of fields and forest is for guests to explore. The farmhouse garden is for guests to pick flowers or in season veggies, all fruit trees are for you to pick, and some over 100 years old. The Langley Community Gardens behind the home are private gardens for the people that care for them. We donate part of the land for the garden plot. Feel free to walk through the Community Gardens, and enjoy the diversity in each of the private plots.
This is a very small family owned farm, we feed cows, chickens, barn cats daily and gardeners will be tending to their gardens, seasonally. The home and surrounding yard is private for guests. We will respect your privacy and boundary around the home.
The Anderson Farmhouse sits just above Langley, near the historic Langley Cemetery. The community is peaceful, loves and embraces all walks of life and all living beings. Langley is a mix of country & urban, sophistication & whimsical, professional & free-spirited. There's a variety of restaurants, wine tasting, microbrewery, galleries, beaches, whale watching, parks, Clyde Movie Theater, kayaking, walking trails, full service grocery & deli, and a whole bunch of friendly local folk. Explore Ft. Casey, San Juan Islands, Ebey's Landing, Deception Pass Bridge and other historic landmarks. The walk to downtown Langley is less than a mile, and one of the most beautiful roads to walk, Al Anderson Ave. We love Langley!

The Anderson Farmhouse was amazing! I've stayed at a lot of VBROs and this by far had the most comfortable bed! Not only did this place have comfort but a very well stocked kitchen. Everything you needed to cook any meal was available. This little place exuded farm house charm right down to the smallest of details! The grounds were well kept and the gardens were a pleasure to stroll through. We will definitely be staying here again!
Spent my childhood visiting grandparent's farmhouse. Expected the Anderson farm to be much the same and it was - although with a _much_ nicer kitchen! The farm grounds were beautiful and everything in the house was as well. Would love to visit again!
It was our second visit to the Anderson Farmhouse. Both visits exceeded expectations. Fresh fruit and flowers and other treats for us when we arrived. Lots of photos and stories about the family that grew up in this house. Ouzo the farm cat, and Snap, Crackle and Pop (the cows on the farm) were very friendly! Langley and Whidbey Island have a lot to offer and the Anderson Farmhouse really set up you for a great vacation.
If you like a pastoral setting in a beautifully appointed family farmhouse, walking distance into a charming seaside town, you can do no better than staying at the Anderson farmhouse. My family stayed a week and can't wait to return. The owner, Tamara, is lovely and a pleasure to work with. When she remodeled and upgraded the family home, her attention to detail was textbook. This beloved property is a treasure.

My friends and family loved the blend of old and new at the Anderson Farm. The kitchen was well stocked, the information about the farm and location was easy to follow, and the property is a gem! Oh, and the baby bunnies were charming!
We have stayed in dozens of VRBOs on 4 different continents. This precious farmhouse is the most wonderful of them all : ) Words truly don't do it justice!! The history is humbling and the renovation and maintenance of the property is perfection. We concur with all the positive reviews enthusiastically!! Thank you Tamara for the privilege of staying at the farm and we truly can't wait to return!!!
Beautiful location and wonderful home! Extra comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. The history of the home and farm are very interesting and all of the antiques were so much fun to look at. We enjoyed the cows and barn cats! Can't wait to go back again!
The Anderson Farmhouse is absolutely stunning! It's been lovingly renovated in such a way that it maintains its historic charm yet has all the modern conveniences that you could possibly need. My daughter and I loved spending time walking around the property and visiting the animals. Tamara, the owner, is so kind and very responsive to any questions we had. Whidbey Island is charming and there is lots to do and see. I would highly recommend this rental!
This family farm is charming and in a beautiful location. We felt welcomed and right at home during our entire stay! It is well-stocked for comfort, including all of the kitchen items, linens, and towels. A beautiful scrapbook of the family's history is available for reading, which makes it an even more personable experience to be a guest in this special place. We will always remember our special time here!
My friend and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful farmhouse and property. The farmhouse is so full of family history that you can feel it! The beautiful beds, linens, furniture and kitchen add a touch of luxury. We picked some apples from the orchard and loved the flower garden. I hope to be able to visit again.
The remodel of this home is a great blend of historic with modern conveniences. Everywhere we turned there was just what we needed...kitchen appliances, lots of kitchen tools and dishes, some staples; bedding; towels; lamps; pillows; throws; books; fans (summer); etc. We didn't explore the island as much as we usually do as we had so much fun at the property with the chickens, roosters, barn cat, rabbits, cows, and walking through the immense dahlia and vegetable gardens. We booked already to come back. Thank you!
The property is located a short walk from downtown Langley but far enough away that you feel secluded. An acre or so of gardens surround the property with a small group of chickens, ducks, and cows that are fun to visit. Two farm cats are also very friendly but stay outside. Lots of cute bunnies. The house is historic and charming. Tamara is great at thinking of everything.
The farm is magical. It is a beautiful retreat from the complications of our modern life and it absolutely exudes peace. Gardens surround the house with flowers, happy bees, bunnies (of course), hummingbirds and the occasional cow voicing its opinion. Need a little barn cat love? Jigger is game for a porch-snuggle. Tamara, our host, was more than great - so accommodating and kind. You can tell this is something that is close to her heart. If I could give this place 6 start, I would. We will definitely be back.
The farmhouse was so charming. Even the new appliances matched the time period. There are enough rooms for all your guests and the outdoor space is amazing.
