About this property
Enjoy Lake Life in Carlin Bay
This beautiful lake home is the top two levels of your hosts three level home. Your hosts live in their private entrance, locked off apartment on the lowest level. They are both retired and completely respectful of your privacy. However, if you have questions about the home or area, your hosts are available. Please take your time reading through this site to become familiar with all the amenities.
Your lake vacation home sits on a little point in Carlin Bay and boasts wonderful views of the lake from almost every room. It has a southern exposure, so you can soak up the sunshine all day long on all the water toys we provide!
The house has central air conditioning. The ensuite master has a King Bed. The other two bedrooms have new Queen beds.Sleeping 6 comfortably. All Bedrooms are upstairs.
The country kitchen opens onto a spacious deck, just the right spot to enjoy a meal or watch the sunset with wine from our local winery that we have waiting for you. In the grassy front yard, sit in the shade of the pines and read a book or take a nap in the hammock. In the evening, roast marshmallows in the fire pit or BBQ up a yummy meal.
The house sits up on a hillside and has a maintained trail to the beach that includes a foot path and stairs. Please check out the photos to get a good idea of the walk down. The beach is in its natural state (basalt rock), a deck was built that leads out to the floating dock. We have some fun water toys like the Aqua Lily Pad, (2) SUP's and (2)kayaks for you to enjoy with plenty of chairs, a table, and shade.
This home is well stocked with spices, basic kitchen food items like olive oil, sugar, salt, flour & paper products as we want you to feel right at home. Because we are rural, please be sure to do your food shopping before you arrive. We are pleased to provide you with doTERRA hair and body care products. We strive to be as 'green' as we can by using only cleaning products that are safe for the environment.
This home is ideal for a single family or two or three couples.
Please read our owner story, and know we do live on the property and occasionally will come down to the private/shared dock to cool off during those really hot days.

We are Mark and Suanne the owners of Point Harns. We love to share the beauty of lake living and enjoy helping people plan their summer vacation to this beautiful area.
Why they chose this property
We moved to North Idaho in 1991 from San Diego, California. We had two small children and the dream to build a home in Carlin Bay. We built our home with the intention of someday having a bed and breakfast when the kids were grown. The house is 3 levels and has a locked off apartment in the daylight basement in which we live in during the summer months. I had started to manage other lake front homes for summer rentals and after the kids were off to college we decided that we too would offer our home for summer rentals. Instead of making it a bed and breakfast it is now a 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home that rents only during the summer months.
What makes this property unique
We have lots of water toys that are available for our guests. We found that our guests appreciated the personal contact and information we could share about the area.
Hope to see you soon.
