A perfect lakeside vacation
The property is ideal for a family, with the beach and dock right outside the door, the shady point with its Adirondack chairs and the wooded privacy. Indoors the camp is charming and "Adirondack-y" with all the amenities you could need. The kitchen is well-equipped, the furniture is comfortable and the master bedroom is spacioius. All in all, it's a perfect lakeside retreat.

We'll be back!
This is our fifth year staying at Dreamy Paradise Point. We love this place! Read my review from previous years and you'll see what I mean. We noticed some upgrades this year and appreciate that the owners do such a good job of keeping up the cottage. We love Brant Lake for its beauty and tranquility. Boat traffic is light, especially during the week, and we love listening to the loons as we sit on the dock with our morning coffee. Vacasa continues to be responsive to our needs. All in all, it makes for a wonderful vacation experience.

We'll be back!
This is our fourth year staying at this amazing cottage and we hope to continue this family tradition every year. It is perfect for our group of 6, which includes two young grandchildren. The beach right outside is perfect, and the water is warm enough to stay in all day. We love the little terrace, the chairs at the point and on the dock and the new fire pit. Inside, the house is spacious and well-equipped, to say nothing of charming. Vacasa is very responsive to guest needs as well. We highly recommend this place.
There were only a couple of hitches in our otherwise enjoyable stay. The WiFi is iffy at best and dropped calls were the norm. The hill that we had to navigate was extremely steep and difficult to manage. We had also inquired about availability of firewood and were told there was none when, in fact, there was plenty. We purchased firewood for no reason.

We love this place!
This is our second stay here, and we love it as much as ever. The camp is charming and comfortable, and well equipped with everything we need. We love the little beach for our grandson, and the waterfront seating. And the view from the point is an added bonus! Highly recommend this place.

A perfect place on the lake
The house was spotless, well-equipped and charming, filled with character and spacious enough for our group of 5 adults and a toddler.. The location couldn't have been better, situated directly on the lake, with a small beach, a dock and a spectacular view from the point.
We received plenty of information from Vacasa beforehand, as well as information for trouble-shooting, if we needed it, though we never did. I highly recommend this vacation home.
This is a great location for exploring the Adirondacks! This family camp is charming, but smaller than expected.
The views are stunning, the lake was quiet, it was a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Heidi. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the location and views from the home. Though we apologize that the home felt smaller in person than it appeared in the listing. We make every effort to ensure our home is reflected clearly and accurately through our listing information in order for guests to make informed rental decisions. Our photos and virtual tour provide an in-depth look at the home's layout and design. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again!
The "cabin" was dirty. There was blood on the mattress cover, mouse poop in kitchen drawers, ants in and around the kitchen and on the breakfast nook, rust in the tea kettle, dirt in the canister that holds utensils. The glass in the lamp over the counter is cracked. Spider webs inside and out and we had a mouse we saw at night in the cottage with us.
We spent our first night of vacation cleaning and washing every dish and pot and pan and wiping out the cupboards and drawers. This cabin is old and worn. It was misrepresented in the photos on line. They obviously used a filter to show the knotty pine and hardwood floors as bright and clean. They were not....some windows would not close as they are the old crank windows.
My partner is an Essential Worker. We kept our reservation because Vacasa said they were taking extra cleaning measures at the "cabin". If this was above and beyond cleaning - it fell short by miles. In order to feel comfortable in this cabin we had to sanitize it ourselves and put sheets over the furniture to sit on.
I contacted the property manager on Saturday when we arrived. He sent a cleaning person who did some vacuuming and used a broom to knock down the spider webs. I didn't hear from him again. I sent him a text with pictures on Weds. Still didn't hear from him. I called him on Thursday from my partners phone and he answered. He mentioned they were considering giving us a reimbursement.
How can you reimburse the only week of vacation we had during a pandemic?
We have vacationed in the ADK for the past 20 years. More recently we have used VRBO and Vacasa to rent cottages. We have not had any concerns until now. I do not trust that your companies gave an accurate description of the property. You stated it was sanitized and cleaned. It was not! We paid for a cottage that was misrepresented! That's wrong.
The outside property was beautiful. We enjoyed the dock and the Point and the clear, clean water to swim in.
I would like to hear from you regarding our concerns.

Nancy, thank you for your review. We appreciate hearing from our guests and love to hear of their experiences at our cherished home. While we understand each individual’s experience is unique, we are surprised at reading your review. We understand vacations, whether for three days or for three weeks, are a precious time where lifelong memories are made. We take great pride in ensuring the camp is in pristine condition and that our guests have everything they might desire for the perfect stay. Our team worked quickly as soon as we were notified of the concerns you raised, and our head housekeeper went right away and addressed each of the cleanliness concerns mentioned above. The mattress cover did have an old stain that had been washed and sanitized several times, but this cover has since been replaced. As per Covid guidelines, all hard surfaces in this home were sterilized after the clean with an industrial strength disinfectant to ensure the safety of our guests, employees, and homeowner. It is also very important to us to ensure our guests have realistic expectations of what our camp looks like so the highest quality photographs are taken. Please note that the photographs online are not doctored or filtered. The photography technology that we utilize, uses very bright lights to best display our homes distinguishing and unique features. This beloved and historic lake camp was built in the 1940’s and has been in the family for over fifty years. We are very sorry if you expected a younger, more modern house. We think its age coupled with the rustic, private, natural setting nestled in the tall pines and only a few feet from the shores of beautiful Brant Lake only add to its charm and beauty. Thank you for booking with us, we hope to see you again.

Dreamy Paradise Point
We loved our stay, private and secluded. Never really left. House was clean and plenty of supplies. 2nd year back and will book for 2021
This lakefront home was perfect for our family of 5. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped, fireplace central and cozy, fire pit by the lake is perfect for s’mores and the view was to die for. Loved the tranquility and privacy. The lake was full of exquisite wildlife, including loons, eagles, bass, catfish and Sunny’s. We will be coming back for sure.

Nice Place to Get Away
Quiet, nice lake house. No complaints and would certainly consider going back again sometime. Nice spot on the point to sit in the Adirondack chairs and relaaaaaaax.
