This was our second year staying at this property and our fourth with Glenda as the property host. Although the weather didn’t fully cooperate this year, the property was spacious and comfortable enough to distract us from the rain. We had a ping pong tournament and several family game nights! When the grill ran out of propane, Glenda responded right away and we had a new tank within the hour. We can’t take our annual Lake George trip next year due to our daughter’s wedding but we look forward to resuming them in 2027 and look forward to renting from Glenda again!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
We had a good time! There are a few things that were a bit disappointing. Two of the exterior entrance doors did not lock! Very concerning since we were away from home and in an unfamiliar place. The dryer had to be run 3 times to get clothes dry, AC not working well. Drains not draining, beds uncomfortable.
We stay for three nights the place was cozy and the outside was beautiful.! It’s a little bit far from the lake but the river was different experience.
Had an absolute blast with friends at this lovely “modern cabin”. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably with a the necessary amenities needed to get by. Awesome fire pit and river access. We visit Cronins Golf Resort and it was amazing. The place was Caddy Shack meets Cheers. I highly recommend this awesome place for a weekend getaway!
Quiet spot on the river with large fire pit and lawn area. Glenda is a gracious and responsive host who responded quickly to our questions. Highway noise is a bit distracting from an otherwise idyllic spot.
Large house was accommodating for my group of (8) adults. Communication was great with host. The property is stunning on the water with a huge yard to play games and run around in. Our friends caught bass from the river it was close to Lake George village and other activities in the area but also very secluded and private. Highly recommend!
The house was in a relaxing area with water in the back for playing and fishing. There were a few hiccups along the way but overall, it was a nice experience for the whole family.

Second time using the house. Absolutely love the location. Very secluded. Close to Lake George. Adults and teens loved the ping pong table and pool table. Everyone had a great time.

Thank you Chris for revisiting and the kind review. Much appreciated. Glenda
A group of us stayed in this lovely home for the weekend. The house is great, 2 game rooms gaves us lots to do in the evenings. Floating on the river was the highlight of the weekend. We already discussed coming back again, if they'll have us
This property is beautiful the pictures don’t do justice at all , I rented this cabin for July 4th weekend and it was just what we needed, We had a misunderstanding with the check in process because there are two cabins with the same number and there was another group already installed in our cabin , but Glenda took care of everything after a few minutes. I can’t wait to come back again to this beautiful place ..

happy you enjoyed your stay. Thanks so much. Glenda
Enjoyed our stay, plenty of room for everyone and the kids loved the pool and ping pong tables. Water was nice but make sure to bring your life jackets because it is much deeper than we realized and there is a decent current not too far from the edge. Beds really need upgrading and we found fleas and an old dead mouse in kitchen cupboard but other than that we enjoyed ourselves a lot.
This is a well appointed, clean and very comfortable homey house with plenty of sleeping spaces. Our group had 5 family units and kids ranging from 1-17 and we all had a terrific time. We did all our own cooking and by far this kitchen had the most pans and accessories of any home I’ve rented. Lots of indoor and outdoor fun with ping pong and pool tournaments into the night. Great deck and fire pit too. Bring your bug spray and your fishing poles!

Sounds like a wonderful family time and good memories. Thanks for sharing Craig. Glenda
This was a 5-day, large family, vacation. There were a few minor issues, but nothing we couldn't overcome. We absolutely loved the location. There were a couple of days that we didn't even leave the property. The mosquitos were horribly, horribly bad! We went through a lot of insect spray and tiki torch fuel, but we were prepared for them.
Thanks, Lisa

And you are sooooo welcome! What an encouragement as we have, again, met our goal ! Thank you for letting us know. Glenda
We were a group of 4 families (14 people) staying at the cabin, and overall enjoyed our stay- but wanted to give a heads up about a few things:While the ad offers room for up to 18 guests, 2 of the 14 people had to sleep on the floor as there weren’t enough beds for 14 (let alone 18). There is a futon in one of the game rooms- but as noted, they are really garages, and never heated up enough in February to be able to sleep in. The photos should really include that there is a full kitchen in an upstairs bedroom with a refrigerator that is quite loud. We were bummed out that the dishwasher was upstairs. We did them by hand downstairs rather than shutting them up. The property is lovely (though very close to the Thruway) and the kids had a blast playing in the snow. The owners plowed for us, delivered a pool que ball so we could play, and were very responsive. We also appreciated being able to bring the pups. Overall fun times!

Happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. When my husband slid off the road in a snow storm to deliver a cue ball - which he was happy to do- we could have brought an extra cot or 2. The count is correct but I m not sure you used the fold out couch in the livingroom. Always best to communicate before post stay negativity. We re here for our guests but can t know a problem if its not told to us. Thanks for your stay. Glenda
First thing are the mosquitoes, it would be amazing for them to hire someone to treat some of the areas. The property itself is amazing and is a great for a kayaking adventure starting from Riverbank. Having been inside a few things were quirky or didn’t work as expected. Plumbing upstairs needs to be snaked as the water was low upon arriving and could only take liquids. Washer on extra rinse would cause the water to not drain, disabling this would be ideal for guests not ready to problem solving.
Overall Glenda has an amazing home and accommodated our wedding party very well. We had folks coming in and heading out throughout the time of our stay, each one raving about the things to do in the area and enjoying the spaces the house accommodates.
The property itself is nice as it is somewhat secluded and is next to a running river. The house is dirty, from the rugs to the floors, cabinets, stove, tables, etc. Animal hairs everywhere. When we arrived, the power was out. That was not the hosts fault, but you would that think she would advise us as she knew this after I contacted her at check-in and she stated the power was out in the whole county and she had contacted the power company. We had no power (water or a/c) for the first day and power did not come back until the second day in the afternoon. We could have planned for this with just a message or text rather than a three-hour drive with no options.

Well stupid. No power no wifi and phones were down. Duh! AND just to show you how dedicated my staff is, they took pails from the river to clean the entire cabin. The only thing they couldn t do is vacuum. Unless of course they plugged it into a " current bush". Hahaha. I am just amazed that after a tornado hits our county and literally trees down everywhere, roads closed , houses smashed and people don t listen to a simple radio or TV. This guest agrees its not " my fault" but he goes on to say it is! I m choosing my words carefully but honestly, " This IS a new kinda stupid".
The house was great. Lots of room so everyone could have their own space. Right on the river. There is a current on the bend but not too strong. Everyone enjoyed the pool and ping pong tables. Although a personal preference the bed mattress were very soft for most of us.
Short comings were few but the light over the kitchen table was filled of cobwebs and only 2 of the 5 bulbs worked. When I took out a stack of plates from the cupboard I got drenched with water that were sitting on the plates. On the second stack I was prepared and dumped water from them into the sink. There were also pots that had water sitting in them. There was also a shortage of bowls to hold salads, spaghetti etc.
Overall it was a great place and we had a great time.

Why they chose this property
I actually inherited the property from my elderly father who is still living, but decided to downsize. It's a really beautiful spot.
