Beautiful Old Florida Lake House - Enjoy the real Florida - 30 minutes from downtown Tampa, 20 minutes north of Tampa International Airport, 45 minutes to pristine beaches or inland rivers. Relax by the lake or explore nearby Tampa attractions - Busch Gardens, Florida Aquarium, Adventure Island, USF, University of Tampa, Ybor City, the Straz Center, Lowry Park Zoo, The Florida Aquarium, Amalie Arena - all less than 30 minutes. 45 minutes to downtown St. Petersburg. I am happy to make recommendations for just about any outdoor adventure - kayaking rivers or to islands, sailing, hiking.

The suite includes two rooms, one with a queen bed and the second small room as a sitting room. Please note that the guest bedroom and bathroom share a common wall/door with host's residence. Lots of natural light, painted concrete floors with area rugs. The two room suite offers a private bathroom with large walk in shower and outdoor private patio overlooking the wooded conservation area.

Very nice 3 day stay

Very comfortable house suite with beautiful lake. Quiet location - great for activities in Tampa and south Pasco county. The host was great showing us the place.

Judy was very informative about the property and all of the information that we would need she provided information about restaurants that were close by and overall the property is absolutely stunning and gorgeous. There's even a property cat named Eleanor that we absolutely loved cuz we're cat people but the property is really nice and it's very quiet and peaceful we absolutely adored the time that we had there and we would definitely go back

Beautifully serene location

This is a beautiful serene location. Judi was a wonderful host. We really enjoyed the opportunity to use her kayaks on the lake. We also tried the hammock and relaxing by the water on the deck.

Nothing pleases me more than to share my little slice of paradise with friends and family. When life gives you lemons you pull up your boot straps and make some amazing lemonade. Oh so sweet with a little zip, I enjoy the art of living well creatively with great food, friendships & a healthy lifestyle close to nature. While my kids are off into the world creating their own amazing life adventures, you’ll find me tending our homestead, baking in the kitchen, singing & playing music, practicing yoga or planning my own next adventure.

Why they chose this property

Years ago, and seemingly a lifetime has passed since I first stepped foot onto this Old Florida homestead with its cypress trees, sleepy Spanish moss and a breeze that blew the scent of lake through this cypress and heart wood pine saltbox style home. As a college student I rented the house, designed and built by it’s owners in 1956 while they were wintering in Honduras; little did I know I would return as a full time caregiver and marry into the family. If these walls could talk….babies were born, gardens have come and gone, there were birthdays and celebrations of life, marriages & anniversaries, house concerts, meditation retreats, school and scout parties and more dinner gatherings than I can count. Nearly 30 years later, with lots of sweat equity, the passage of loved ones and a few tears, I continue to call this place home and now share it with others, with joy and gratitude as Little Cypress Guest Suites.
