About this property
Private oceanfront villa with gorgeous sunsets!
The Location: Siren's Song is located within an exclusive 400+ acre gated development, The Preserve at Botany Bay. Siren’s Song itself has a modern security system and is perched on its 5+ acre gated, cliff top lot, with almost a half mile of waterfront.
A 5 min stroll takes you to the beach at Mermaids Chair, a beautiful white sand bar that separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean Sea. This was highlighted in Season 21 of "The Bachelor".
The beaches of sand, shells, corals and pebbles are constantly changing with the winds and the tides. Just offshore the unspoiled coral reefs are alive with a multitude of live hard and soft corals and many different species of tropical fish. This is an ideal snorkeling site.
The living area, dining area, five of eight bedrooms and outdoor terrace have balconies with stunning 250+ degree sea views of uninhabited islands. On a clear day you can see St Croix to the South and Puerto Rico to the West. If you yearn for peace, serenity and tranquility away from crowds and traffic, and want an unforgettable island experience that few have been privileged to share, then Siren's Song will enchant you, yet it's only a 20 min drive to downtown, abundant with activities and world class restaurants.
The House – Main Level: A terra-cotta replica Chinese emperor welcomes you into Siren's Song. As you enter, a cozy sitting area with six cushioned chairs and steps leading down to the pool level below. To your right is the gourmet kitchen, breakfast bar and dining room, with alfresco dining on the terrace beyond. The terrace has a gas grill, a dining table that seats six, a bistro table that seats four and a couch that seats up to six for your enjoyment. Three sun umbrellas for shade. The dining room has a 12 ft dining table with 12 matching dining chairs. To your left is a powder room, the living area with two comfy white sofas and media centers. Further to the left an archway leads to 3 air conditioned bedrooms ( 2 king and 1 bunkbed room) and 2 bathrooms. The king bedroom with forest views has a separate outdoor entrance. The main level has Italian ceramic tiles on the floors, with scattered rugs and natural wood ceilings. Furnishings are largely mahogany. Throughout the house you will find extensive works of art by local artist Jonna White.
The House – Upper Level: Siren’s Song’s upper level, accessed by a stylishly curved staircase from the main level has 5 air-conditioned bedrooms, four bedrooms with a 4 post, king-sized beds, ensuite bathrooms, and private balconies with ocean and island views. The fifth bedroom has a beautiful bunk bed. Full on bottom/twin on top. Great for kids who must be near parents (no balcony or bathroom attached). A deck with chairs extends along a portion of the upper level, with forest views, swept by refreshing Caribbean trade-winds. The upper level has wooden floors and wooden cathedral ceilings. Furnishings are largely mahogany.
The House – Pool Level: Recently updated pool which overlooks the lower level gardens, Caribbean Sea and several uninhabited islands. The pool is four feet deep and has benches along the sides for sitting. The pool is surrounded by a beautiful new patio and an outdoor shower. Throughout the winter and early spring, passing humpback whales can be seen from the pool or pods of dolphins as they pass through our crystal clear waters.
The Beach - a five minute stroll from Siren's Song is the beach at Mermaids Chair from which you can take a short hike across Little St Thomas to natural boulder rock pools washed by the sea. For the more adventurous a mile hike will take you to another beach within The Preserve at Botany Bay, called Sandy Bay. Mermaids Chair, Little St Thomas and Sandy Bay are generally deserted and you will probably be the only people there. Spend your sun filled days snorkeling, shelling, beachcombing, fishing, hiking, picnicking and relaxing in the natural boulder pools.
Sirens Song has four security cameras on the exterior of the property. Driveway, front entrance, patio/walkway and the pool/lower property.
Car rentals are encouraged as the local taxis have been known to refuse entering the main security gate for Botany Bay which is a very hilly 1.5 mile walk from the villa.
**Travel insurance is highly recommended for all bookings. My cancellation policy is accurate. If the borders are closed we will issue a travel credit for use within 12 months for anyone not having travel insurance.**

About the host
Hosted by Jeff, Owner

I live outside of Boston. I am an avid traveler who enjoys boating, fishing, scuba diving, underwater photography, and time with my family. I fell in love with Siren's Song as soon as I walked through the front door.
In a few years as I enter retirement, I hope to split my time between Boston and St. Thomas. In the meantime, I am excited to share my home with you and do whatever I can to ensure you and your family and friends have the best rental experience possible with the best sunset views and beaches in the Virgin Islands.

Why they chose this property
I purchased Siren's Song because it is breathtaking. When you walk through the front door all you can see is endless views of the Caribbean Sea and you never want to leave. The Estates at Botany Bay are private, away from the tourist areas but easy enough to get to the other areas on the island...and this was perfect for what I was looking for. It's remote and secluded but only 20 minutes from the airport and close to many amazing beaches, restaurants, bars, dive sites, and watersports.
What makes this property unique
Peace, serenity, space, amazing views, fabulous night skies - all away from the maddening crowds; yet very convenient being only 8 miles from the airport, 7 miles from lots of restaurants and bars, 10 miles from Magen's Bay.
