About this property

Direct waterfront renovated cottage.

Newly renovated cottage. Direct waterfront home in Madison’s most desirable waterfront area. Four bedrooms, 2 full and one 1/2 bath. Outdoor private shower. Sleeps 7. Walk to the Madison beach hotel and into town (restaurants, shops, grocery store, cvs, starbucks) or along Madison’s beautiful coastline. Bike to hammonaset state park along the green mile trail. Beautiful green lawn from your deck to the Long Island sound. At low tide, there is sand between our seawall and rock outcroppings where you can walk & put a chair & enjoy the sunshine. There also is a sandy beach (regardless of the tide) approximately 6 homes away that you can use. See photos. There is room for 6 cars to park on rock driveway. Enjoy all Madison has to offer from the best view in town. Short walk to Madison Beach Hotel for outdoor/indoor dining , spa and entertainment. Also, a short walk to Madison Beach Club and Madison Country Club which are for members only.

Air conditioning units in June, July & August. One ac unit is based for family room and dining room. All three upstairs bedrooms have ceiling fans and will have individual AC units. There is no heat in the cottage. April & October can be chili, but beautiful! There is a wall heater that heats the family room and dining area.

Perfect relaxing vacation

Property was exactly as pictured, incredibly cozy and perfect for a relaxing vacation on the water. Coffee in the morning or snacks/cocktails in the afternoon on the front porch was wonderful. Kids enjoyed playing in the yard, on the beach and on the rocks in the ocean. Would stay here again without any hesitation.

Beach getaway

All three generations thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Having grown up in Madison, it was fun to stay in one of the original beachhouses I remember from my childhood, and to show my grandchildren around town. The kids particularly loved swimming and exploring the rocks and tidal pools - just as my siblings and I did so many years ago!

Magical spot on the Connecticut coast

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. So close to town yet quiet and peaceful with our private view of LI Sound from the porch, the master and the kitchen. We had a family emergency and were still able to relax a bit by virtue of this gem of a home. Thank you!

We fell in love with the view and it’s proximity to everything Madison has to offer. Located on one of the best streets in Madison. Walking or biking distance to everything. This classic New England cottage has original charm and we knew we could keep the charm and add to it with our renovation. Plenty of room to park and beautiful lawn between home and the Long Island Sound.
