Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication

First and foremost, the hot water supply for showers was insufficient for the majority of our group. While only suitable for one person, the rest of us were left with cold showers throughout the entire week. Additionally, the kitchen appliances in the property are in dire need of attention. The stove burners are unreliable, with some not functioning at all. Furthermore, we experienced a gas outage several days before our departure, despite having requested service. The promised maintenance visit did not materialize, leaving us without a properly functioning stove for the remainder of our stay. The microwave was also broken. Moreover, the cookware provided was inadequate and in poor condition. Many of the pans and pots were old and heavily scratched, posing potential safety hazards due to the degraded coating. The limited supply of utensils, including forks and knives, was insufficient for our group size, making meal preparation and dining a cumbersome task. Furthermore, the kitchen faucet exhibited splashing and water dispersion throughout the kitchen area. The cutting knives provided were dull and insufficient in number, posing risks during food preparation. Lastly, while the washer functioned adequately, the dryer had a broken knob and ceased to operate when the gas supply ran out..

Great place with connectivity !

Our group of 2 young families stayed at La Escondida villa Carmen for 3 nights. Location was convenient to get to Tulum, Xcaret and Playa Carmen downtown . I liked the fact that there was a shopping mall + food court, corner grocery store (oxxo), and access to collectivos ( mini shared vans)for transportation Recommend using the lazy pool if you stay there without too many plans or staying longer.

Spacious house

The house was the perfect and spacious size for my family. Post said partiality climate but they do have a unit in each room and 2 in main floor. Storm screen in all big windows. And high speed internet on main and 2 nd floor. 3rd floor which is located master room wifi is weak. Great communication and very helpful. House in good condition with washer and dryer that is a plus when vacation with kids. Downside general condition on amenities is in bad shape. Looks like HOA are working on making better, but for now is not. Has a great pool with kind a lazy river that we didn't used for cold weather. In general the house is in good condition, amenities not which was ok for us. We recommend if you want a big place to stayed and planned to go to closed beach or 5th Ave which is about 10 minutes driving.
