Spectacular cabin in the mountains
Cabin exceeded our high expectations. Everything was perfect. Comfy beds, hot showers, fully stocked kitchen, linens, comforters, bath accessories, they thought of everything. The reviews are fabulous and still dont due this place and host justice. Highly recommend.

Quintessential Cabin in the Woods
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience; a cozy cabin in the woods!! I told the owner, but I will say it again, the fact that she had 100% cotton sheets listed in her description was what sold me. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked, the fire pit ready. We can’t wait to come back again in other seasons and enjoy this fabulous log cabin. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Amazing mountain home and location!
Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was extremely comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The location was truly incredible and the area was so quiet and peaceful. We spent a lot of time on the porch taking in the beautiful view. And our kids spent a lot of time playing games and hanging out in the lower level. The owners were so welcoming and easy to communicate with. It was like the comfort of staying at a friends house with the luxuries of a nice hotel. Can’t wait to go back!

About the host

My husband and I purchased this property 4 years after we were married (after honeymooning in the area) and built this cabin in 2000. It was a vacation home for us until April of 2016 when our dream of living in the mountains full-time became a reality. We built a small home higher on the property where we live now with our two goldens. We hope to build another rental cabin soon.

What makes this property unique

The cabin is located on 60+ acres. We've been working on trails to walk/hike so you don't have to leave the property (we've hiked from here to Shining Rock and back), but there are also beautiful hikes a short drive away. You can enjoy peace, quiet, privacy and a true mountain experience but you're only about 20 minutes from the quaint town of Waynesville and 30 minutes from Asheville. There is a gate at the entrance for security. The cabin water comes fresh from a natural spring.
