About this property
Oceanside Retreat Hubbards Nova Scotia
Stylish 1 1/2 bedroom , 1 bath cottage located exactly where you want to be in Hubbards Nova Scotia; i.e on the water, close to beach, steps away from heated salt water pool and large dock on ocean c/w Gazebo, Adirondack Chairs and S/W exposure to enjoy a beverage morning, noon or night.
This cottage is located in such a primo spot that you can provision your cottage for a week and may never get back in your car till you leave.
Check out the Google Maps at bottom of page, go to satellite mode and see the geography your surrounded by, St Margaret's Bay , the ocean, Hubbards and Queensland beaches, sail boats, power boats, restaurants, pubs, dance halls with live entertainment, farmers market, skateboard park, rivers and lakes filled with Trout , Small Mouth Bass etc. all with in walking distance, to name a few things you can do when you just don't want to sit on the veranda and read a good book or play cards.
There's a restaurant and lounge/pub right next door, there's a Local classic Lobster Dinner Hall 300 yards away serving up the absolute best Lobster anywhere in the world, Nova Scotian Lobster from Nova Scotia's south shore.
If your a bicyclist your in luck. We have some gorgeous seaside rides on quite roads, try the Aspotogan Peninsula road Hwy 329, or back road trails and mountain biking and bike rental companies if you don't travel with your own. Same for water sports, kayaking, paddle boarding , deep sea fishing, saltwater sport fishing are all available.
Sight seeing, photography, phew, where do we start. Peggy's Cove maybe, could be Lunenburg, a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE site. What about Mahone Bay and its famous three churches and hundreds and hundreds of islands. If your a sailor, there's Chester with its many sail and power boats and summer mansions.
Hey what about Oak Island! History Channels ,The Curse of Oak Island, chronicles the continuing 200 plus year old search for buried treasure in the MONEY PIT. Treasure believed to be buried in a complex chamber over 200 feet deep left by an unknown party, whose speculation runs the gauntlet from Black Beard the Pirate, to the Knights Templar. Spooky
Speaking of a Spooky factoid, Hubbards is the home of many scenes in the Steven King's supernatural drama , HAVEN, shot on location on Nova Scotia's south shore. All the above places serve as scene locations as well.
Golf, one family friendly 9 hole, golf course is 10 minutes to club house, or 20 minutes to 18 hole ocean side gem of a course, Chester G&C.
There's vineyards and wineries within an hours drive, alot to do if you want.
TRANSPORTATION: Halifax (Stanfield International) YHZ is 40 minutes away by car. International ferry to USA in Yarmouth is 2.5 hours away
Hubbards has become a summer seaside oasis for Halifax and its citizens and it only takes a half hour to go from 30 story office tower to 300 yard crescent beach on the Atlantic. Complete with salt water dock and Gazebo, front veranda on your cottage to wind down , or wind up, what ever R&R your up for, you'll find it here
