Welcome to Sea Scent!

Take in Maine's coast in this tastefully decorated updated cottage right on the water's edge of Bailey Island. Enjoy the convenience of having everything on the main floor! The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances as well as a quartz countertops. The open concept floor plan and tall cathedral ceilings which allows for everyone to enjoy each other's company while basically being in the same room. In this room you will see, not only the new kitchen, but new living room furniture, a large Smart Tv, a dining room table perfect for 6 people, a propane fireplace and steep shiplap stairs leading up to a loft area that has a futon which allows for extra sleep space. The main floor's queen bedroom has a nice closet for all your luggage and offers its own entrance to the full bathroom with double sinks and a stand-up shower. There is a shared laundry room on the property for this cottage, a dock that the owners welcome you to utilize, a pebbly beach perfect for skimming rocks or relaxing and 2 complimentary lobsters for you to cook for yourselves or for your guests. So come and take advantage of this quintessential Maine cottage right on the edge of the Atlantic...you won't regret it!

Lovely little cottage by the water

The house was the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking. There was just enough room for my family of three to spread out. The weather was mostly misty/foggy during out stay, but we got one evening with a beautiful sunset!

wonderful spot/ relaxing

We enjoyed watching the fishing boats go in and out of the harbor from the front yard. Watching the lobster boats pick up their daily catch was so much fun. Great trails around the Island and a nice walk to the local gift shop. The local people were super friendly and made us feel at home. We are looking forward to our next stay. Thank you for sharing with us in your little piece of paradise. Sue

Sweet Cottage for a relaxing trip to Maine

Had the most peaceful and relaxing vacation here! The sunsets are beautiful. Watching lobster boats going in and out of the cove was a treat. The cottage is well stocked and very nice. We enjoyed having breakfast at BIGS (Bailey Island General Store). The pancakes are amazing and HUGE!! You can walk to the end of the island and visit the Lands End gift shop. At low tide you can explore in the little cove at the cottage. We loved the path down to the water. We had wonderful meals at Erica’s and Sundrenched. Great places to hike, wonderful history in the area, not far if you want to visit Portland. Again, this was one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve enjoyed. Thank you!

Beautiful

We enjoyed our week at Sea Scent. We enjoyed beach combing, especially after the storm! Lots of sea glass and interesting shells to find. We swam off of the dock which was really great on warm days. The house is quiet and just the right size for our family. We can't wait to come back!
