Hit pause and reset in the Redwood Dome -- a geodesic dome in your private redwood clearing, offering unmatched redwood views, and a hydrotherapy hot tub under the stars. We love the magic of this area, and can't wait to share it with you. Enjoy your own 2 br/loft + 2 ba space on over 2 acres of private property, complete with skylights for stargazing, a desk overlooking the redwoods for work or creative inspiration, and a hot tub that is literally under the stars.

This is our private sanctuary and this unique retreat features an open high-ceiling layout with a spacious living room, dining room, and kitchen. The sky lights, high ceilings, and open feel make it the perfect (work) retreat/getaway. There is a welcoming bedroom downstairs with an en-suite bathroom, and another cozy bedroom upstairs with a skylight and a writer's nook. A second bathroom is downstairs and is comfortable and spacious. High speed internet is readily available, perfect for video-streaming or getting work done (if you need).

There is a secret cozy nook in the upstairs loft with a teepee for some personal space -- perfect for reading, dreaming, and sketching!

The spacious living room features sweeping views of the forest along with a 92" HD projector/screen with Netflix and more.

It's a space that's best used for quiet retreats, getting away, and reconnecting with nature -- it is not ideal for parties or large events. There are outdoor cameras for your and our protection -- please do not try to sneak in extra guests and/or pets.

*Cleaning notes - we clean and sanitize all surfaces between guests. We also have air purifiers available in both bedrooms including a smart air purifier, Mila, that will automatically get you as close to zero AQI as possible at all times.*

If you are looking for solitude this is this is the place for you. Close to Hiway 1 and Cali coastline, close to jenner and guernsville and Russian River. Quaint little towns. Hosts were very helpful with local area and suggestions.

Delightful short stay high in the redwoods

My husband, daughter and granddaughter stayed just one night in this perfectly located dome home in the redwoods. Lovely deck out in the trees, beautiful view from the living room, all of the basics plus many thoughtful amenities. We felt far away in the forest, but were close to towns, ocean, the Russian River and Armstrong Redwood Reserve. Just what we were looking for!

magical time among the redwoods!

This is such a gorgeous place to *be*. Wendy communicated nicely and the place was set up beautifully for my stay with my family. My child particularly loved the nook. Even as you plan to explore the area--Russian River *and* coast, this is definitely a place to linger and savor the foggy mornings, cooler evenings, and spectacular light through the trees. Amazing.

Amazing Weekend

My wife and I spent our 28th wedding anniversary at the Dome House. It is such an amazing property. The quiet secluded home was the perfect way to get away, relax and unwind. Either sitting in the hot tub or on the deck star gazing, wonderful place to stay. House was exactly as advertised, very clean and everything you need. The hosts Wendy and AL were great. Would definitely come back and recommend this place to friends and family.

Peace and Quiet

There are many things to admire about this property, but the peace and quiet to be found here are exceptional. The cabin is also located in a very beautiful spot surrounded by redwoods and not far at all from Guerneville or Duncan Mills, which are both right down the road. This is a very tranquil spot and the neighbors also seem to respect that quality. We very much appreciated that. Thank you for having such a wonderful spot on the Sonoma Coast!

Simply spectacular

The Dome is a special place, on the side of a mountain with an incredible view, located close to the ocean and redwood forest trails. Clean, impeccably maintained, tastefully furnished and outfitted, all of our wishes were met without our even asking, as if we had made special requests just to suit our needs. The hosts are gracious, accommodating, and responsive. There is much more that could be said, I hope this gives the impression of complete satisfaction.

Great Restorative Retreat for Our Little Fam of Three

My husband and I had been in our house too long, quarantining with our new baby. Our house has little natural light and can feel like a cave sometimes. The dome was the perfect solution. It lets in an abundance of natural light and has beautiful views of the green surrounding trees. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. Our favorite part was soaking up the view while in the hot tub. It was raining and hailing for the couple days we were there, but we managed to time out a couple trips to the hot tub in between storms. It was magical. Our host was great too. Very responsive and friendly. They also provided a helpful list of recommended local restaurants and sites to visit. We hope to stay again soon.

Lovely spot in the Redwoods!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, unusual spot near the Russian River. Overall the place was nice, although in need of some updates. The owner Wendy communicated well with us, letting us know about a repair issue with the spa (we could still use it, not the jets). Our only gripe was the kitchen could have been a bit better stocked, which is true of many VRBO rentals, to be honest. There was no toaster (we made do with the broiler but ...), and there could have been more plates and other serving pieces so we didn't have to wash plates every time we had a meal, but this was a minor inconvenience given the spectacular views from the wrap around deck and the quiet mountain serenity of the place. Overall a great trip, despite a few minor inconveniences.

Tranquil escape to forest bliss!

This was an absolute nature lovers bucket list dream dome house in the trees. My daughter wanted a quiet getaway into the forest to ground for her 21st Birthday. We just wanted something off relaxing a serene and this fit the bill 100%. Everything was absolutely wonderful. We had the best time! She loved the cozy upstairs room, we grabbed groceries at Safeway prior to arriving and I was so glad we did because we didn't want to leave! We hung out and had dinner night one and the kitchen had everything we needed. Then settled down to watch a movie on the projector. Had a little trouble connecting the speakers at first, (I think someone plugged it into a socket that was not working that great) but once we changed the socket location it stayed on and worked great. The owners were quick to respond when needed and checked in to make sure everything was great which was just above and beyond. I highly recommend checking out Armstrong State Park Redwoods it's stunning! The beds were super comfortable and the hot tub was bliss. I did have to cut out a bird silhouette to tape to the bedroom window as one curious bird in particular kept flying and fluttering into the bedroom window that overlooks the forest early in the am. I couldn't tell if they could see their own reflection or if they were curious about the guests in the mornings lol. The view is even more beautiful in person. We will definitely be back again, thank you so much! Slainte!

The house is amazing and so close to the Russian River and the coast. Everything feels like it's only 15-20 minutes away if you even want to leave the house. The views are beautiful and it's so peaceful. We didn't want to go home at the end of the trip! The only downside is that the kitchen could use more cooking utensils and dishware, but we were able to make due.
