Casita Artista: Great Location & Great Price
Casita Artista-
Relax in a delightful Santa Fe casita; put your feet up, make yourself at home. Recently remodeled in true Santa Fe style, the one bedroom, one bath unit has an artist’s sense of style and color. Original artwork is present throughout the casita (Denver artist Patricia Zilinski is featured).
Enjoy your first cup of coffee for the day on your private deck while viewing the mystical Sangre de Christo Mountains. The local birds will be your serenade.
Explore Santa Fe…the Plaza is just blocks away and Canyon Road is so reachable on foot. The Casita is located just off Artist Road, making Santa Fe ski area and 10,000 Waves so close. Santa Fe Opera is easy to get to…finish your day with World Class entertainment in the Summer. Or endulge with your favorite cocktail on the Casita deck, before a fabulous dinner in town.
Too cold to sit outside? A toasty fire in the Pueblo-style fireplace with a cup of tea or glass of wine will warm you up!
Off street parking next to the coyote fenced garden makes arrival easy. Entry is into a large fully stocked kitchen and breakfast area. Red brick floor and a working wood fireplace add to the ambiance; a high ceiling and skylight brighten the kitchen area.
The living room has tile floors, a kiva fireplace and vigas, which all add to the Santa Fe atmosphere. The couch is also a queen size sofa bed available for additional guests. A leather chair with footstool makes for a comfortable place to enjoy an enticing fire in the kiva fireplace.
Just off of the living room is a large bathroom with a shower-tub, heat lamps and expansive counter. A washer/dryer in located in the bathroom. The master bedroom has hardwood floors with a queen size wrought iron bed.
For the price, you will not find a better value for this great of a location. Also make sure that your short term rental is legal and has a permit from the City of Santa Fe. We have a permit (STR156201).
During Covid 19 public health emergency, check with the Governors office to find out about any required quarantine regulations.

About the host
Hosted by Bob Zilinski

After attending graduate school at the University of New Mexico, both of us fell in love with the Southwest: the landscape, the people and the combination of three different cultures: Hispanic, Indian and Anglo. Santa Fe is in many ways the cultural hub of New Mexico if not the western US. Being one of the oldest cities in North America, it has a long and intriguing history. Because of its history and diversity, Santa Fe has attracted people who love the beauty of the high desert along with the freedom and creativity of the West. We both hope that you enjoy your stay at our condo and your time in Santa Fe.

Why they chose this property
We bought this unit in 1987 and had it as a long term rental for many years. However since we wanted to have a place to stay when we visit Santa Fe, we converted it to a short term rental several years ago.
What makes this property unique
As they say in real estate, Location, Location, Location!!! We are blocks from the Plaza and Canyon Road. To explore downtown, we park the car and walk.
