Tropical Shores Villa is a newly renovated, picturesque waterfront villa in Turks and Caicos that sits on almost one acre, atop a hill overlooking beautiful Silly Creek. This 2 story villa with wrap around decks on both the main and second floor offers breathtaking ocean and sunset views with plenty of outdoor seating to accommodate your entire party! This home also offers a private pool for your enjoyment year-round.
The main floor of the home has a beautiful brand new, fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops throughout. 400 square foot living room that opens on all sides to the first floor wrap around deck and gives breathtaking water views. The main floor also includes 2 bedrooms with queen beds and ensuite bathrooms, one of which has a private entrance.
The second floor offers the King Master bedroom suite with ensuite bathroom, 180 degree view of Silly Creek, the southern shore, and stunning Caribbean sunsets. Also, on the second floor is the 4th bedroom with a second king bed and private balcony.
This 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom villa is the perfect vacation home away from home for families and small groups; sleeping anywhere from 8 to 10 people comfortably as there is also a queen air mattress available for use.
Visitors to Tropical Shores Villa can expect to stay in comfort, with all the necessary amenities to ensure that your stay is fun, safe and enjoyable. There is also a private dock with two tandem kayaks available for exploring. Beach chairs and a cooler are also available for you to bring with you to the beach during your stay.

Tropical Shores Villa is located in Chalk Sound; less than 5 minutes from pristine secluded beaches and waterfront restaurants. Taylor Bay Beach and Sapodilla Bay Beach are only 5 minutes down the road. Also down the road is our favorite restaurant, Las Brisas. "Smart" Grocery store is only 15 minutes away. For more excitement, shopping and restaurants you can visit Grace Bay, which is a short 25 minute drive from Tropical Shores Villa.

Could be great, but is not.

Let me start by saying that communication with the Owner was great. Drew was responsive and kind and, I believe he wants a good experience for his guests. With that said, we did not complete our stay at this property due to bug (cockroaches and ants) and cleanliness issues. Mid way through our trip, we needed to find alternate housing. Drew was very gracious in refunding most of our money. Here’s the thing - the house could be great. It’s large and the views are beautiful, but there’s rust in the bathrooms, the sliding doors on the main floor are mostly broken, the toilets needed plunging every day, the outdoor shower doesn’t work, there are no outdoor trash barrels to put your trash in, rather there are just mounds of trash bags in a vestibule (which is disgusting and likely attracting the cockroaches) one bathroom faucet didn’t work, the deck tiles are incredibly slippery when wet (they seem to be tiles meant for indoors), there’s mold on some of the lounge chair cushions, and there is construction on all sides which is noisy, and there are workers who can see into the pool area, which isn’t very relaxing. My hope is that the owner addresses the issues that he can control, because at some point I think this home would be worth renting again. I share this review just to make sure that people do their due diligence and ask about the issues I’ve noted to ensure they’ve been addressed before renting again. I do hope this house gets the updating it needs so that future guests can thoroughly enjoy their stay.

Beautiful View

The home has a beautiful view and was very clean. The property manager was very helpful and responsive. Lounges on the dock area and the kayaks were broken and unusable. The pool does not have safety covers on the drain and water intakes. This causes a lot of suction at these points when the pool pumps are running and is a huge safety concern, especially for small children. The owner and property manager where alerted to this issue but the issue was not corrected before we left the property. Overall the property could use some updating and maintenance, especially in the outdoor areas.

Incredible view...was it worth it?

The property needed some TLC. For the amount of money we paid, this property was not well stocked and had many issues. The air conditioning was broke in the kitchen, our master bathroom toilet was broken, the seat and plumbing, no smoke detectors, the alarm system did not work, the lounge chairs at the dock were broken, holes in one towel and bed sheet, The kitchen was poorly stocked with only one stock pot, no cookie sheets or measuring spoons. The grill would not light after we requested propane. The last night we had rain seeping under the front door and puddling in the hallway. We also had a bird trapped in the kitchen. we tried to catch it but couldn't. Construction on both sides of us, but we were gone for most of the day looking for beaches. We loved the island but would not recommend this property to anyone. Don't be fooled by the photos.

Lovely vacation

Our first visit to Provo we will definitely return. We prefer vacation homes over resort stays for our vacation accommodations for the space the flexibility the family time and the quiet of a home over resorts. This foot the bill. It was close to the airport and only a 15 minute drive the tourist area so it was a win. The house was lovely clean open and had everything we needed. The private pool was great our own kayaks quite convenient and there was a fantastic restaurant at the bottom of the hill so that was perfect. A few drawbacks there is a lot of hurricane rebuilding going on and it just so happened the house we overlooked was under the construction so our quiet times on the porch with coffee and a book were interrupted quite early in the morning with banging - that lasted throughout the day. We often left in the afternoon to visit various beaches so we did get a break from it but only if you left the property otherwise they were hard at work all day daily. The one bedroom with a separate entrance had no access to the main house except via outside on the deck - that was awkward in that you didn’t want to lock the house at night in case they needed assistance yet you didn’t want to leave the house open. We had considered moving the bed inside since we had young adults in that room but it’s quite safe and seemed to be just fine plus they were not awoken early by the early risers so maybe it’s a bonus if you have a couple that would prefer some separation. The home and views were lovely the house is being updated and I think that’s good. The fold out couch is a definite not usable so don’t count on that as usable bed space and if you have older adults or small children that move quickly this may not be the house for you. The deck is beautiful white tile but one dripping bathing suit and it’s extremely slick we had a few mishaps with the rain and dripping suits. I would say some may not like the drive if you think you would like to be in the tourist area beach daily but we chose a different beach spot to explore every day and for us this was perfect. We were not tied to our all inclusive and got to experience much of the island and what it had to offer
