Loft Politeama is a delightful penthouse (60 sq.m.) graceful, elegantly finished and furnished, located in the heart of Palermo, on the third floor of a building in the early '40s
Two double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom
The apartment is located in the heart of Palermo, about 200 meters, two minutes walk from Piazza Ruggero Settimo (better known by the citizens of Palermo as "Politeama Square", named after the eponymous Theatre, located in the square). Since the development of the city was concentrated in the area north this square has become the nerve center of the city, the main meeting place for young people.
Piazza Ruggero Settimo converge on the path of Freedom (shopping street with elegant shops (Prada, Gucci, Hermes, etc ..), boutiques and jewelers) and Ruggero Settimo dedicated to the shops of the big retail chains like Benetton, Mango and Zara).
At the other end of the Via Ruggero Settimo (about 200 meters) there is the famous Teatro Massimo, and then you can advance to the historical center.

Alongside our Loft Politema (few minutes walk), you can find many important monuments and sites to visit, such as Villa Malfitano, the Zisa Castle, Cuba, The Catacombs of the Capuchins, and many, many others.

E 'can use the nearby local bus station (located in Piazza Don Luigi Sturzo, about 50 mt.) To be able to reach all the most interesting tourist sites.

The apartment consists of Loft Politeama

two bedrooms with double bed and large window, fitted wardrobes and each with its own bathroom
a sitting area with a large, comfortable sofa bed and a wall equipped with TV;
a kitchenette, equipped and equipped with dishes, where you can cook and eat in an area equipped with a table for four people (extendable) and four chairs.
Both the bedroom and the living area are equipped with air conditioning, with separate individual units.

The building does not have an elevator, but the apartment is equipped with an elevator to go up external storage or other.

The apartment was completely renovated in July 2014.

Great for the rught traveller

Not for the overweight. Very narrow stairs and a shower cabinet opening of only 12 inches. No corkscrew or kettle. Guests are required to wash dishes before leaving and take out garbage despite having to pay a hefty cleaning fee. Nice apartment though and just around the corner from the wonderful and cheap La Brace restaurant.hefty cleaning fre

Bon accueil de la part de Silvia qui nous a tout expliqué et donné beaucoup de conseils sur les visites à faire à Palerme. L’appartement se situe dans une petite rue très calme et à côté de beaucoup de restos et commerces. Bien climatisé, literie confortable. Points négatifs : pas d’eau en bouteille à l’arrivée (le minimum surtout dans un pays chaud), le Wifi n’a jamais fonctionné, pas de machine à laver (mais cela est indiqué dans l’annonce), beaucoup de plinthes sont abîmées et beaucoup de fissures, une chaise de table cassée, manque d’ustensiles dans la cuisine. Il faut payer 20 supplémentaire pour avoir accès à la 2eme chambre.

Ein Zimmer schmutzige Bettwäsche, Klobürste verrostet und verdreckt, kein Wasserkocher, kein Stöpsel fürs Spülbecken, Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig, kaum Geschirr vorhanden, für Aufenthalt mit Koffer nicht geeignet da man quasi eine Hühnerleiter rauf muss

Woche in Palermo

Die Wohnung wird mit zwei Schlafzimmer angeboten. Wir wurden gefragt ob wir beide Zimmer benötigen was wir mit ja beantwortet haben. Dafür mussten wir bei der Anreise 15 Euro in bar bezahlen. Hierzu steht nichts in der Beschreibung der Wohnung. In einem Schlafzimmer war die Klimaanlage defekt. Wir haben dies bereits am ersten Tag moniert. Leider kam die ganze Woche kein Techniker was bei den hohen Temperaturen ziemlich heftig war. Ansonsten sollte bei der Buchung beachtet werden, dass diese nicht für Menschen mit körperlicher Beeinträchtigung oder starkem Übergewicht ist. Die Treppe nach oben ist sehr steil mit hohen Stufen und sehr eng. Für uns war die Lage jedoch perfekt. Wenn die Klimaanlage funktioniert würden wie diese wieder buchen.

Bel appartement bien situé pour visiter Palermo. Très calme, très propre et une bonne literie. Seul inconvénient se sont les 3 étages assez raides avec des marches hautes.

A nice, clean apartment on the fringe of the centre

The apartment is clean, modern and located just on the fringe of the centre. Although there was some confusion about additional cleaning costs that was not included in the advertisement (I believe this is now corrected), I thought that Silvia proposed a fair solution. There was also a few slight issues with the apartment which Silvia fixed almost immediately by sending over a plumber. The layout was great, allowing my sister and I to have our own rooms which was needed after travelling together to a while! I would recommed staying here to my friends and would also do so myself if I was visiting Palermo again.

Déçu de se séjour

Ustensile de cuisine manquant comme le micro onde ou de quoi égoutter les pâtes. Une clim qui n’est pas fonctionnel, qui fuit et qui fait un bruit de craquement les nuits étaient très désagréables. Les draps était taché ainsi que les serviettes de bain. Nous avions rien pour faire le ménage donc à notre retour de plage le sable était très embêtant dans l’appartement. La propreté de l’appartement à notre arrivée n’était pas top. La rue est relativement calme sauf le matin où nous sommes réveillées par des chiens à 6 heures du matin. Nous avons été déçu du confort de se séjour.

Clean, updated, with all basic amenities.

For the price the location and basic amenities were up to expectation. Communication could have been better. The steps are definitely not for anyone with agility issues. It was definitely a struggle to get your luggage upstairs. But if this isn’t a problem for you it definitely is a workout for all that pasta you eat! The owner could not meet us upon arrival which is ok, however, the young women who did meet us was not pleasant to put it kindly.

Four nights in Palermo

We were two couples staying in the loft during the end of September. Federico was great at answering all of my emails. He set up a taxi from the airport and then back. The loft itself was perfect for our needs. The bedrooms are of average size and bathrooms more than enough for us. He also supplies shampoo and shower gel. And the hair dryers work great. Air conditioner works fine too. Federico will also supply you with a listing of recommended restaurants in the area. There was an issue with one of the bedroom lamps but one early evening email and this was remedied the next day. I think that the only issue we had was that it was very challenging getting the suitcases up (Federico was there and did offer to help us) and then down the stairs - the outside pulley system was not working when we stayed there. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect for 2 couples

My husband and I along with another couple had a wonderful stay in this newly renovated apartment. The layout of the apartment is ideal with 2 bedrooms with ensuites separated by a small kitchenette and living room. Each bedroom has AC that works well. The apartment is also ideally located in an older residential areas with many cafes, restaurants and convenience stores. It is also walking distance to the main shopping district. Access to the apartment is by stairs only so its' not well suited for those with mobility issues. Frederico was extremely responsive with our questions and most helpful in organizing a taxi to the airport to ensure that we were charged the local rates. Would definitely stay here again.

Ein sehr schönes, sauberes und gut gelegenes Aptm. mit kleinem Balkon. Der Vermieter, Herr Federico, hat uns bei der Anreise per Handy geholfen, die Strasse zu finden, da unser Navi wegen teilweise fehlender Funkverbindung und grober Ungenauigkeit, mehrmals falsch geführt hat. Herr Federico hat uns auch einen kostenplichtigen Parkplatz reserviert, das war super! Die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind von seinem Aptm aus, fußläufig gut erreichbar. Federico hat für uns einige Lebensmittel eingekauft gehabt, damit konnten wir erstmal stressfrei starten. Danke! Ein schöner Aufenthalt. Wir fühlten uns fast wie Zuhause. Wir kommen wieder! Vielen Dank Herr Federico!

Ideal for 4 people

Nicely and cleanly renovated apartment in really good location. Perfect for 2 couples with 2 bedrooms & attached bathrooms (or a couple with a couple of kids). It's on the top (4th) floor so, if you don't like climbing stairs, go elsewhere - but we (all in our 60s) managed just fine . A huge plus is the owner, Federico. He organised a taxi for us from the airport to the apartment at a rate that was clearly cheaper than the going rate. He and the taxi driver levered all our luggage (via pulleys) up to the top floor and repeated the exercise when we departed (much to the wonderment of passing tourists). The drive then refused to leave us at the airport until our car rental was in our hands, effectively spending an hour with us at no charge. Federico was also at pains to point out tourist highlights, eating places etc - you really felt like he cared but wasn't overbearing. We liked Palermo a lot and would have booked in there for longer if we'd known what it would be like - & we would happily put our trust in Federico again. (No, we are not related or on commission).

TERRIFIC!

The apartment is wonderful. It is centrally located, within easy walking distance of the old town, markets, bakery and great restaurants and important sites. It was very clean and well maintained. The high ceilings made it feel very spacious. We found everything we needed to make our stay delightful. When we return to Palermo, we will definitely stay here again.

Great apartment in Palermo

We stayed for three nights in this charming apartment in Palermo. It was in a great location, close to the center of town and the old town, and had everything we needed. Everything was new and modern, clean and well maintained. Federico, the host, met us at our bus stop and took us to the apartment. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and even made sure we had food for dinner and breakfast. It was great! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay in this apartment again. I will also recommend it to my friends if they visit Palermo.

Magnifico apartamento, perfecta estancia

Maravillosa estancia en este apartamento, muy bonito, luminoso, nuevo y perfectamente equipado. Situado muy cerca del centro histórico, al lado del centro comercial y dentro de un barrio muy palermino, muy autentico, precioso. Su dueño, Federico, muy amable, te da información de todo lo que puedas necesitar, y esta siempre disponible si necesitas algo. Para volver mil veces.

Pratica soluzione in Palermo

Situato in posizione centrale, molto comodo per visitare la città e dintorni. Parcheggio disponible in zona. Appartamento nuovissimo e ben arredato con tutto il necessario. Ideale per due giovani coppie, gruppi di amici o per famiglie numerose. Il proprietario è super disponibile per rendere piacevole la permanenza.
