This "Suite Retreat" charmer, has two suites, one up and one on the main floor; each with their own design flair and both with new kitchens, bath and landscaping.

This listing is for the MAIN floor suite VRBO listing 1575730. (The upper suite can be found at VRBO #1587347). If we're booked on one level, the other might work equally well for you. There is a discount for booking both suites together.

The 1,000 sq. ft. main floor suite of this historic Grand Haven cottage boasts personalized and tasteful décor in an amenity-rich environment with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and sleeps 6 comfortably. Bedroom configuration includes a queen bed in the first bedroom and a king and two twin beds (trundle) in the second bedroom.

One block to downtown, 2 blocks to the waterfront and boardwalk, less than a mile to the Grand Haven State Park & City Beach on Lake Michigan, plus everything you need to make your vacation relaxing., beach chairs, sand toys, umbrella, cooler, beach towels, boogie boards, skim board and a wagon to take it all there. Smart TC with cable and free high speed WiFi.

Two shady porches and a grassy side-yard, ample off-street parking, and colorful plantings make your outdoor time pleasant. Courtyard with gas grill and dining space make for memorable evenings. Fire pit tables, perfect for s'mores and creating some more vacation memories. The fully stocked kitchen includes all the large and small appliances you'll need. The well-appointed bath and convenient washer/dryer make your stay here pleasant, and we supply basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and dish soap) and starter laundry detergent.

This is a great property within walking distance to downtown Grand Haven. This home is well appointed and very comfortable and clean. There is off-street reserved parking and a nice outdoor sitting area. Owners are wonderful to work with!

Wonderful vacation!

This is our second time at this wonderful house. We stayed in the lower unit and it is so roomy & comfortable. The location is perfect, easy walk into town for shopping or restaurants. Short drive to the beach. Contemplating booking again for next summer as it has all the amenities you could want!

We stayed for a week’s vacation here mid July 2020 and it was awesome! We had the first floor and it was so roomy & comfortable! Very Peaceful & walkable to downtown restaurants & stores. Loved the outside seating area, front porch & backyard tables. Never stayed in Grand Haven, but would love to come back!

Grand Heaven VRBO

This property in Grand Haven was 5 star awesome!! We wanted or needed nothing, everything was meticulously cared for and maintained. The check-in- out process was completely hassle free. Even the family staying upstairs was wonderful. The location was perfect, close to everything. As an added plus, the parking situation was probably the best in Grand Haven, more than sufficient parking for residents and guests.I can’t say enough good things about this place. This is the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. If our future plans work out we would love to stay here again.

Lower level was terrific! Location was A. The patio was so used and enjoyed with the sunshades! Clean as a whistle inside and every detail/necessity thought of (stain stick, extra sunscreen, starter laundry, dishwasher, coffee pods). Loved the access from both sides of the house, felt bigger. Upstairs neighbors walking/floorboards are pretty loud if that matters, however the talking is not loud. Would definitely come back so enjoyed the 2 porches and the covered patio. Played games and ate outside and had 2 people working remote out there!

Lovely

Had a wonderful time at Suite Retreat in early October. The suite was beautiful, clean, and had every amenity we could possibly need. I have been coming to GH for years and this was hands down the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. The location is great too - just a short walk from downtown and within walking distance to the beach. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!

Property was adorably decorated and updated. Great location - we walked everywhere. Love the patio/fire pit area. Only bummer was hearing upstairs renters walk around. Sounded like a herd of elephants. Next time we would rent both upstairs and main area.

We loved everything about our rental. It was spacious, clean, great location and had everything we needed. It was in a nice quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of shops and great restaurants. We will definitely stay there again when we come to visit our son who will stationed here for a couple more years in the USCG.

Perfect home away from home in GH!

Perfect location in downtown Grand Haven. Walk to downtown for shopping, dinner or to head to the pier. The Armory Brewing is right behind the house and down the block. We could stroll over for beer and live music. We enjoyed all the amenities like the porches and back patio with fire tables. Cleanest place we’ve ever stayed in and probably the coziest! We will be back!

An absolute must go back!

This place has it all, from kids toys to beach wagons no detail has been overlooked. Location is one block from all the shops and walkable to the water. We are always looking to go to new places but are already trying to figure out when we can stay here again!

Wonderful property in a great location! We enjoyed the renovations/decor and really appreciated the provided extras (outdoor space, beach chairs/towels, multiple outlets/charging locations next to bed, nicely stocked kitchen, etc). The CG/4th of July bin was brilliant - very impressed! This is the best rental we’ve had in the nearly 20 years we have been coming to GH. We will be back!

Suite Retreat is a Treat

This property was perfect for us. The owner thought of every little detail anyone would need from dish soap to beach towels to even the beach chairs and umbrella. The location was convenient to shopping, eating, and going to the state park beaches. Check in and check out were also very easy.

Perfect location, quiet hood, great room flow, beautifully decorated, close to downtown and the beach. It was an ideal set up for us with he doorways wide enough for his wheelchair and just a few steps up and down with the handrail. Only suggestion? Supply bikes - 2 per unit.

The rental was exactly as pictured. The location was perfect for going to Washington Street or the beach. Joe was quick to respond to questions about the property. Will keep the property on the favorites list for our next trip to Grand Haven!
