Borgo Castelrotto can host up to 18+2 people in 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms and is located in the center of the Castelnuovo Tancredi Wine Estate, situated between Val d'orcia, Montalcino ans Siena.

The main villa, is divided in a north and a south wing.
The North wing has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on the first floor with the main living room, dining room and modern kitchen on the ground floor.
The southern wing has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a large living room with wood fireplace and an extra kitchen.

At the groundfloor large picture window doors open onto the garden where guests can enjoy an evening cocktail or read a book while looking out to an incomparable glimpse of Montalcino. A large covered patio, is set up for dining enjoyment along with a wood barbecue area and an outdoor/covered living room.

In the center of the borgo's garden the swimming pool has a unique view of the valley overlooking the Estate olive grove.

A guest house full of charm completes the Borgo, with the upper floor designed as a loft with master bedroom and bathroom and on the ground floor a living room with a stone and brick fireplace, kitchen and a double bedroom with bathroom enjoys a special view of the olive grove and pool.

An in-villa dining service or a self-made barbecue night can be the perfect end of the day while enjoying an aperitivo with a lovely glass of Fiamma Rosé. Table Tennis and Bocce set and are available to add to your evening enjoyment.

The entire farm upholds organic agricultural methods, from the 4 hectares of planted vineyards, cereal and grain production to the D.O.P extravirgin olive oil. The primary objective at Castelnuovo Tancredi is to keep pace with the times, while protecting the flavor and tradition of the past in all its aspects.

Borgo Castelrotto was everything promised. We were a family group of 17 people; ages 2 thru 85. The house accommodated all of us quite comfortably with plenty of convenient bathrooms. I am less mobile than the others so I stayed on the ground floor of the cottage which meant no stairs for me. I won't repeat what others have said but the grounds and views are beautiful, there was plenty to do for all ages including a well used ping pong table, everything was well maintained and worked, and the estate bottled wine was excellent and always available for a fair price which saved us the hassle of wine shopping. The highlight of out trip was the outstanding family dinners (8 out of 10 nights) with our own chef and server. Our host arranged this service which included grocery shopping. As to Violante, our host, I cannot say enough: she took excellent care of us but gave us our space.....Curt H.

Our family of 15 just spent an amazing week in Tuscany at Borgo Castelrotto. It had everything we needed from plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, an awesome kitchen, beautiful grounds and finally an amazing host, Violante, who helped us with questions, bookings and anything else we needed. It’s also a great location for to explore Tuscany with pretty much everything you’d want to see between 20-90 minutes away. Would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful Stay Near Montalcino

Our group of 12 had a wonderful stay at this property. Located in Buonconvento which is a beautiful small town about 20 minutes outside of Montalcino. Perfect for a stay in Tuscany. The pool was enjoyed as well as the large outdoor dining area. Many spaces around the property to sit and enjoy the Tuscan landscape. Plenty of room for our group. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful Tuscany!

Absolutely delightful home in a breathtaking setting! We were a group of 19 who filled the home beautifully. Our hosts checked in with us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. Try Hotel Roma in Buonconvento for dinner, and be sure to sample gelato at the shop down the street from the hotel! We also enjoyed a wine tasting of the estate wines. Highly recommend this villa!

Ideal Family Reunion Idle

Borgo Castelrotto is a lovely country property. 18 guests of varied ages across multiple related families enjoyed their stay with plenty of space to be together (and apart). Violante is highly professional and responsive. She arranged daily breakfast and a few catered dinners at the house. The photos accurately display the property's high quality buildings, rooms and finishes; the view is even better. The quiet, authentic rural setting is what we were looking for. The pool was busy during the July heat of the day. The bedroom ACs are strong enough for those more delicate and from northern climes. The Val d'Orcia is special. Easy daytrips to Siena, Pienza, San Quirico and Montalcino were a hit.

My great great grandfather purchased this property in the early 1900's and it has been in the family since. We manage it ourselves and take care not only of the hospitality aspect, where the farmhouses in the hamlet are, but also the wine estate and the farm.

We strive to maintain the true flavor of Tuscany and want you to experience the best and the real aspects of this amazing part of the region. This should be your home away from home and we will try to do everything to make your stay with us as memorable as possibile. On the estate, which encompasses over 600 hectares of this territory, we grow grapes for our organic wine production, organic cereals such as wheat, alfalfa and barley, and maintain the animal reserve where we have reeboks, pheasants, jack rabbits and wild boar.
