The house is very well maintained and the host was very responsive. Not far from downtown TC and very close to the venue of a wedding we attended. We’d stay here again.
Clean house and host responded quick for the only small issue we had

Landlords may be new to renting?
House was newly updated and clean. But may have been empty for a while; Black ants, beetles, spiders and cockroaches inside the home. It was/is a smokers house. Owner failed to post that the unit is part of a duplex. You share a small driveway, entry and back yard. The entry door into our side of the home was an interior door that was cut to fit into the doorway. Only had a flimsy lock on it.
There was not mattress covers or pillow covers. No fire extinguisher. And NO PLAN B! A wicked storm came thru our 1st night and took out power for 2 days. No cooking, refrigerator or AC etc. She did bring over bags of ice, after we contacted her the morning after the storm
But we had to ask for candles for night time.
A generator is required for these situations! Hotel rooms in Traverse City for a group of 6 was $500.00+ Not an option for us. No offer for discount or anything was offered. She wanted her money! At $$$ per night w/o power we expected some kind of discount! Our neighbors on the other side had to find another place to stay and were not contacted by the owners when power was back on, They were not happy!
Again, the rental unit was ok. But the owners were not on top of their game.
Needless to say, we WILL NOT BE COMING BACK!

Michelle,
Thank you for your review. On a weekend you chose to stay at my home a severe thunderstorm came through and wiped out several hundred thousand customers, us being one of them. You know as well as I do this is beyond anyone`s control. Our listing does not state that a generator is on site nor is it required. The directions left on the kitchen table clearly state the exact location of the fire extinguisher. There is and always has been mattress protectors on every bed. My apologies about the pillow covers, most people would prefer not to have those. We have traveled many places and not one place has plastic pillow protectors. We thoroughly disinfect the home and all linens before each new quest arrives. We also have had hundreds of guests and multiple long-term renters. Never once has cockroaches or spiders been an issue. Regardless, this will be thoroughly addressed before any other guest arrive. I think it is obvious that you are upset because of the power outage and you are taking it out on me. I was more than willing to give you 2 free nights on a date of your choosing in the future. However, you did not even give me the time of day and were so rude to me we never had time to discuss it. My guest and reviews are very important to me, we are very sorry to hear about your disappointing stay please let us know if there is anything we can do to correct the situation.
Thank you,
Jan
