The property owner was incredibly friendly and paid great attention to detail! He was extremely quick to respond if I had a question. The cottage was clean and comfortable, the property was well maintained and extremely comfortable. Our trip was relaxing and restful, just as the ad states! We will absolutely be going back!
The cottage is lovely, very comfortable and well equipped. The owner was very helpful and responsive to our few questions. The location was great, right on the water and close to many places of interest for day trips. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The Cottage was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed for our week. The property has the perfect view to watch the sunsets.
We enjoyed using the kayak and rowboat.
It is in a very quiet area and close to restaurants and shopping.
We would definitely stay here again.
The cottage was very comfortable, with all the amenities you'd need. Nice, quiet location on the lake, and we enjoyed the available kayaks and water mat. Good communication with the owner, John. It was a great spot for a getaway.
Lovely house that was recently updated. We enjoyed sitting out on the covered patio reading, doing puzzles, and just enjoying the lake. Frankly, one of the best houses we've rented at the lake.
We were right on the lake. My husband made use of the boat several days. Beautiful lake! This 'cabin' is tastefully decorated and spotless! And fully stocked with anything you might need in the kitchen or bathroom. There are books, and games for rainy days.We had our morning coffee at the table looking out on the lake, and had other meals on the covered patio. Some days we used this as our base as we explored. We absolutely will be back!
This was our second stay at the cottage and everything was as good as the first time with the added benefit of relaxed Covid restrictions in the area. The lake was beautiful, the fishing was good - wish the boat lift was operational but otherwise had a great time.

Thank you Glen. The boat lift is routinely not available for guest use and future guests should not expect it to be. The dock will remain available for use.
Spotless updated cabin with a well-provisioned kitchen and a gorgeous view of the lake from the dining table. John was accessible and friendly. Even my teens had a blast with the kayaks, canoes, and fishing! Will definitely return!
The property was great and right on the lake. John has a great host and bent over backwards for us several times. Decent kitchen for cooking, use of a boat with electric motor, good relations with neighbors, etc. We really relaxed and enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful.
This was our 2nd stay at John's place and it was just as perfect as the first. The house is well-stocked with everything you could need, is sparkling clean, and John was very responsive and checked in with us upon arrival. For me, the best part was the ability to use his kayaks, where we saw herons, beaver, and osprey. A perfect vacation!
We had a great experience at the cottage! Everything was as pictured and described. The cottage location is well situated for local day-trips and the cottage itself has plenty of lake toys to enjoy being on the water. John was easy to work with, flexible and helpful when we needed to make changes to our reservation, and consistent with communication. We would love to come back.
Up for 2 day bass fishing tournament on lake st. Catherine and lake bomoseen. House was perfect for 4 of us. Fully stocked, very attentive host, beautiful location. Day trip to middlebury, dinner at Bomoseen lodge 3 nights. Plenty of room to park truck with boat trailer, ample room for maneuvering trailer. Cozy place. Definitely will be back.
We stayed at John's cottage for a second time and it was wonderful again. The water mat and skiff were used every day and were so fun! The house was very clean and smelled great despite lots of recent humidity. John was very responsive to any questions we had as he has been in the past. He is a great host and we hope to come back next summer too!
Enjoyed our stay here. Cabin was well stocked, designed, clean and had great layout for our family of 4. Owner was very responsive and friendly. We fished off the private dock and had use of a john boat, canoe and kayaks. Fire pit was great during chilly nights and the stars in this area were fantastic! We stayed in mid-October, so be mindful that certain things in this area are already closed for the season by this time of year (state parks, marina, some restaurants, ATV tours, etc.). We would definitely visit again, next time in summer to take advantage of the beautiful lake!
We had an amazing week! This felt like home to us and we would love to come back again. The house was well appointed, comfortable and the amenities made it so easy with our children. Use of the kayaks and canoe was key to keeping our tweens busy and unplugged all week. Loved catching bass right off the dock! Nice set up for a family and an easy location on lake Bomoseen! Thank you!
Despite the wet and, on a couple of days/evenings, wild weather, we had a wonderful time during our week at the lake. This was in no small part because of John's pristine cottage. Everything you could want and more is provided in this wonderful place. It is on the quiet end of the lake and it was so peaceful to relax on the dock, in Adirondack chairs on the lawn and under the covered patio. We tried out the pedal boat one day. What an adventure that was for two older ladies. We were great at going backwards and that's all I'll write about that! LOL! John was so communicative and quickly responded to questions. So sorry we missed you the day you came by, John! I really can't express how wonderful this cottage is and the pictures and information given are accurate to a "T". Cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you, John for everything. Hope to visit again!
