What an amazing location to stay. Already, we’ve recommended this rental to both family and friends, as we believe this is one of the best ways to stay in Maine. The property was beautiful, well appointed, and clean! We couldn’t have had a better trip, and we can’t wait to be back again.
A great place to stay with all the amenities you could ever need! The apartment was super clean and cozy, and the nearby town was so fun to explore. The proximity to Acadia was also a bonus. We definitely plan to return again in the future :)
The perfect quiet stay for a Maine weekend away — great jumping off point to explore the coast and nearby Bar Harbor + Acadia. This really is the cutest spot & we were obsessed with the skylights.
The house was perfectly situated for spending time in Acadia and Deer Isle. Very clean and private. Loved the little deck with 2 chairs and a table. Perfect for our morning tea snd coffee!
Well appointed little studio in a very quiet neighborhood. Clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The only issue was the lack of cell service and poor Wi-Fi connection.

We were very pleased with the accommodations. It was just we wanted someplace very quiet. We could see a Night Sky and it wasn’t far from the town for anything we needed, and we drove over to Bar Harbor a couple of days which isn’t that far from there and also Bangor we met One of the owners and she was very nice and offered if we needed anything to get a hold of her, but we didn’t need anything and everything was excellent
This was a very comfortable place to stay and had all the amenities we needed. It was great for stargazing on the balcony. We appreciated the microwave, cooktop, Wi-Fi, and refrigerator. We loved being in the forest.
My husband and I stayed here for four nights and it was the perfect spot for us. The loft was clean and tidy. We loved how quiet it was and we enjoyed the drive to and from bar harbor. We would definitely stay here again when we come back. Adam was a frat host!
My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at this lovely, peaceful place for the first two nights of our long vacation. It's nestled in a beautiful wooded area and is so serene. The balcony was perfect for stargazing, and we also had a great time exploring the nearby Acadia National Park. Thanks to Adam for being super quick to respond to all my questions!
Lovely place. Nice small kitchen. To reach it you need to be able to walk up external spiral stairs. Not a problem for us, but just FYI.
Cute town and great access to hikes and water. Would definitely visit again.
Adam's place is lovely! A really beautiful spot on the Blue Hill peninsula, very close to great coffee, groceries and food. Incredible star gazing! Adam's place was a wonderful spot to launch our Maine vacation. It was so clean and cozy, with a delightful woodland bird soundtrack of hermit thrushes and phoebes outside our windows. Thank you Adam and Landere!
This was perfect for my needs - just one room, plus a bathroom and kitchenette. Very quiet and a lovely setting in the woods, not far from the water. An unexpected bonus: a skylight above the bed for great dark-sky star watching! No TV or microwave, which some might miss. (I didn't.)

Super cute apartment! Easy drive to Bar Harbor/ Acadia. We went in late August and it was about an hour drive during the day. Hosts were super nice and welcoming. The stars were so amazing at night because there’s basically no light to get in the way. Only minor thing is it gets a little bit warm in summer without air conditioning but the nighttime temperatures cool it off. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay!

The property is in a beautiful woodsy area. It was clean and tidy with all the necessary amenities. There’s no tv, which wasn’t a problem for us but mentioning in case it for others. The town is a short drive away. Our gps took us right to the place without any problems. The bed was comfortable and the quiet surroundings help with getting a good nights rest. One thing to note is that there are sky lights above the bed, if you wake up from light but want to sleep in in the property, bring an eye mask!
Property was wonderful. Host sent message through Vrbo, but when I hit reply button I just got sent to Vrbo website for making new reservations. Very frustrated with Vrbo!
We absolutely loved our stay in Blue Hill! Our hosts were the nicest and most accommodating couple. Their property was exactly what we were looking for on our no frills vacation. No tv, no problem. There’s a puzzle in the drawer. Star gaze from the bed or the front porch which is also a great place to drink coffee, wine, or what ever you found at the Blue Hill Co-Op down the street. WiFi is there, but we didn’t need it that often with everything available in driving distance. Need coffee? There’s a pour over station in the kitchen, or there are several coffee shops in and around Blue Hill. The small fridge is the perfect size to hold any leftovers or a quick trip to the store. All-in-all, this is a wonderful place to stay when traveling the coast of Maine.
A wonderful experience with a charming host family..
A wonderful experience with a charming host family.. very quiet, clean, sunny and airy space
One thing we didn’t plan for was the spiral outdoor staircase leading to the apartment. But we managed it despite being in our 80s.
We would definitely stay there again
The property was an upstairs loft. Very nice, in good condition. Bed was comfortable. The small air conditioner did the job and was super quiet. There was a small deck where we enjoyed breakfast in the morning and a glass of wine in the afternoon. It was an easy ride to the grocery store and downtown Blue Hill. The yard was completely overgrown which did subtract from the overall ambience. Although the listing was accurate, when something that people take for granted, such as a TV, isn't included, it would be better to state it prominently in the write up.
Hi! Our names are Adam and Landere. We are hosting our newly built studio apartment Adam finished this Spring. A lot of the framing lumber was milled from the trees on the site and it is eco-friendly and completely handmade. The solar panels on the roof provides hot water, the kitchen counters he milled right here from rough sawn live-edge ash and the entire building has been customized to be a comfortable, cozy and private space. We hope you enjoy and if we can help you make your stay any more enjoyable please let us know!
Why they chose this property
The apartment is completely separate from the hosts’ residence. It is very private, comfortable and has a deck where you can enjoy some morning rays with coffee or tea over breakfast. The parking is really accessible and the garden is right there. Your view looks out onto our small orchard and rock garden.
What makes this property unique
The balcony is a great spot for star gazing! There aren’t any lights around so the Milky Way is bright as ever up here in Maine.
