Beautiful Two- Floor Apartment In The Heart Of Mojacar Pueblo
Casa Isobel is a lovely, bright apartment on two floors in the historic, Moorish 'white' Village of Mojacar which overlooks the Mojacar Playa coastline. The apartment is perfectly situated to afford panoramic views of both the sea and back over the village and the surrounding mountains. It is one of only two houses in a leafy secluded pathway with its own a gated entrance. It is the very heart of the village within a few hundred metres of the picturesque plazas with their lively bars and restaurants.
Casa Isobel is set over 2 floors with a large comfortable living area and two bedrooms. The living area includes a dining area and kitchen, equipped with fridge, cooker, microwave and various other utilities. The main bedroom sleeps three with a double bed and a day bed. The second bedroom has two single beds. There is a downstairs bathroom with bath and shower and an upstairs cloakroom.
The large pretty terrace is accessed directly from the lounge (not the case in many other village properties), making it perfect for outdoor dining and general relaxation. Casa Isabel is a typically rustic Pueblo apartment, simply furnished with a mix of traditional and modern. Air-conditioning and fixed heating has been recently installed. The downstairs bedrooms are cool anyway even in mid-summer.
Mojacar village is just a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk from the sea and the long stretch of golden beach. A local bus runs twice an hour from the village to the coast. The relaxed charm of the village and the more bustling seafront lifestyle can be enjoyed in equal measure. There is a small convenience store just minutes from the house, while elsewhere in the village you will find numerous gift shops as well as a hardware store and chemist.
Emergency assistance is available and a pick-up from Almeria, Murcia or Alicante Airports can be arranged. Car hire, however, is recommended. The stunning unspoilt beaches of Cabo de Gata and its various National parks are only a short drive away. The magnificent Moorish city of Granada is a manageable day trip.
Mojacar enjoys various festivals and fiestas and activities for both adults and children are abundant. You can enjoy swimming, walking and cycling or if you prefer pure relaxation and quiet evenings on the terrace or strolling around the village.
Please note that we do not accept bookings from large groups of young male or female travellers.

Charming apartment in the heart of Mojacar Pueblo. Well equipped. Lovely balcony leading from the kitchen and living room area. Would highly recommend.
Owners sent us so much helpful information and were very communicative. The pics don’t do the view justice. It’s epic!

Unfortunate events meant we went home.
We didn't stay. We drove home at 9.30pm.
I will only rent properties from now on that have a valid Vv licence.

First of all, we have acknowledged that a series of events meant you elected to leave early and we paid you a complete refund including Vrbo's commission. We have a VV licence and you will see that recent reviews have all been 5-star. The review is rather cryptic and in no way explains events. We contacted you before your stay to warn you that the upstairs cloakroom ceiling had been taken down for safety but that you didn't need to use that room. That a little more plaster fell was unfortunate but did not affect you. We have expressed regret that a tiled step breaking could have resulted in an accident, but we could not possibly have predicted that. It, together the whole run of tiles, has been replaced and a second handrail fitted. As you say, your review is really a review of the first few hours of your visit rather than of the property. It is a shame you didn't get to enjoy the ambience or panoramic views. Once again, we apologise for the unconnected mishaps you experienced but do not feel your visit was in any way typical.
Beautiful, vibrant bohemian style furnishings, nestled into the glorious back drop of Majacar.
Hi Chris and Gerry
Thanks so much for your hospitality and helpful information.
We couldn’t have had a better time if we tried! What a fantastic house, with vibrant bohemian style furnishings, nestled into the glorious back drop of Majacar.
The balcony area was really pleasant we particularly enjoyed the sea view. The open plan lounge and kitchen area is very welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped, and lovely Spanish tiles, we enjoyed the breakfast bar and decent size fridge freezer.
The lounge is spacious and has a comfortable sofa, textured soft furnishings. A smart TV and its was useful to have our own bespoke Wifi.
The beds were made up on our arrival and fresh clean towels and bathroom mats were provided.
The master bedroom has a double bed a very comfortable day bed, the air conditioning in this room was excellent and kept us nice and cool.
The second bedroom is a sweet little twin room with two single beds and a large fan.
The water pressure in the family shower room was very good. The lights above the mirror were great for doing hair and makeup.
Thank you for sending us the useful information pack, directions from the airport and recommendations of places to eat out and visit. We wish we could have stayed for longer. We hope to come back again next year.
Thank you,
Kindest regards
Rachael Smith

Thankyou for such a warm review and for your friendly and helpful interaction right through the rental process.
I had a good time in this flat. Owner is friendly and the place is very clean. I would recommend it to anyone. Only drawaback is that it is difficult to park nearby.
Wonderfully located property in the heart of the Pueblo
Traditional house with fantastic views of Mojacar Playa.
It had everything you could ask for including a bathroom upstairs and downstairs where the bedrooms are located.
The location is fabulous and you are a stones throw away from the village centre.
Fabulous air con and boiler for hot water.
We loved sitting on our balcony every morning, blissful
Casa Isobel is a true gem, if you don’t mind putting in a bit of work. The house is located about three quarters of the way up the seaward side of the old town of Mojacar. As such, it requires quite a bit of stair climbing to get up to it from the lower portion of the pueblo. However, once you are at the house, the stores, bars, and restaurants (and buses) are located just a short walk down one of the many beautiful narrow streets of the village with minimal climbing. There are some good restaurants to be found nearby, and while we were there, a new bar opened just around the corner that has on Friday and Saturday nights some of the finest quality flamenco that we have seen anywhere. The house is located down a very private side passageway, which puts it out of the main flow of foot and vehicle traffic; however, entering the house requires navigating a fairly treacherous stairwell. The interior of the house shows some wear-and-tear and the kitchen has only a stove top (no oven) which can create some challenges for cooking (we purchased a toaster oven to use during our 4-month stay); but in spite of all of this, the living space is very comfortable and very quiet. What makes this place truly exceptional, however, is a nice-sized south-facing terrace off of the living room. This terrace has one of the most spectacular views I have ever seen in any of the homes or hotels we’ve stayed at. To the right you overlook the portion of the pueblo blanco that runs up the canyon, and in front of the terrace across the canyon you can see the surrounding mountains with limestone caves that serve as nesting sites for the numerous swallows that take to the skies in the evenings. To the left side of the terrace, you look down over the gardens and stone walls to a gorgeous view of the Mediterranean Sea. My wife and I spent many mornings having breakfast on the terrace watching the sail boats and picking out the white caps created as schools of dolphins swam by. Finally, Chris was easy to work with and very engaged during our stay with many suggestions for things to see and do.
Excellent property in prime location with access to all amenities in village , property very cool in hot weather . You would need good mobility as mojacar full of hills and steps .lots of bars / restaurants and shops and of course the fabulous views of sea and mountains.

Incredible view in lovely hillside home
My husband and I spent one night at this charming home. We arrived around 8pm during a rainy evening after the sun had set. Went to get dinner on the main plaza, not realizing there were many other choices tucked into the rambling streets in the hills since we were too tired to remember the recommendations offered. We had a good meal and the service was pleasant. We had to park our car down a steep hill since parking is a challenge in Mojacar. Fortunately there was a modern state of the art elevator that took us from near the parking lot up near the home. We left our other suitcases in the car and just took our smaller ones w is to the home. It would have been too difficult to lug other suitcases on cobblestone roads. We woke up to a spectacular view - it couldn’t have been anymore beautiful. We enjoyed some tea while admiring the view. There’s a nice dining area just inside the outdoor patio with a cozy kitchen if one wants to prepare a meal. Just be prepared for some hill climbing to get to home. Mojacar is built into a hill so we should have expected it Be prepared w comfy walking shoes. Since we enjoy walking it wasn’t an issue. We would recommend. Host was very generous with information and wanted to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.

Great house for an experience of Spanish village life.
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Isobel, the house is a typically rustic Spanish village house with a lovely homely feel, great location for exploring Mojacar pueblo with its restaurants, bars and shops, fantastic views over the surrounding countryside from the viewpoint in the village.
The views from the house balcony stretch for miles along the coast and over the village, would recommend a stay here if you want to sample a friendly Spanish village.

A gorgeous rustic and home from home experience with with constant sunshine!
We loved this apartment as soon as we set foot inside the door. The decor is tasteful and befitting the style of the property. A spacious open plan kitchen leads onto the terrace with delightful views where we spent many hours during our stay. There is an upstairs cloakroom and the bathroom and bedrooms are downstairs as indicated in the information. All are comfortable and the shower is really powerful. The location of the property is excellent with easy access to the local shop, restaurants and bars. Additionally it is just a 10 minute walk to the bus stop where there are half hourly buses to the main beach with interconnecting buses to other local towns. We had some very pleasant walks along the promenades andvto Garrucha, a beautiful harbour town.
The information regarding the property sent by the owners Chris and Geraldine was extremely comprehensive and helpful. So also was the level of communication and their interest in making our experience as enjoyable as possible. We were met by Simona at a lovely local cafe called La Candela and taken to the property which is a mere 10 minutes away. Our advice is to make sure that you take shoes or sandals with good grips as there are lots of hills and some quite steep. Also this property would be a challenge for anyone with mobility problems as it is accessed by steps some of which are steep.
However if you are fit and healthy this is a brilliant property and we loved Mojacar Pueblo and will certainly return.
Thank you Chris, Geraldine and Simona for making our experience most enjoyable and see you again.

Espero volver pronto!
