About this property
Secluded Lakefront Retreat on 7 acres on Lake Quinault
A very private home on Lake Quinault, the south entrance to the Olympic Peninsula National Park and just a few miles away from the famous Lake Quinault lodge and rainforest.
This home is perfect for a family retreat in the woods without sacrificing comforts of home. An open floor plan on the main floor with a complete guest suite and kids bunk room downstairs. Open loft master suite allows for lake views and a true cabin feel. Decks surround the house; enjoy the outdoors with a glass of wine overlooking the lake.
Amazing fishing right from the beach or go for a sunset paddle. Home has two double kayaks [available from May to September*] and is outfitted with all kinds of games for family fun (giant jenga, puzzles). Kitchen has everything you would need to cook your favorite family recipes or to grill up the trout you catch. Brand new kitchen appliances (fridge, stove/oven, dishwasher) just installed.
Just a mile into the small town of Amanda Park which sports a mercantile store (get all your groceries and your fishing license here), an internet cafe and a great little pizza joint/pool hall.
No better place to get away from it all and create amazing family memories.
There are two double kayaks and two kids sit on top kayaks available for guest use during the Spring and Summer*. There is also a good selection of life vests from kid size to adult (located in the storage bench in the breezeway).
* Due to rising level of the lake during the Fall and Winter months, it is not safe to kayak in Lake Quinault. Kayaks and paddleboard are available from May to September.
If you wish to bring your own water craft: Note that any boat, kayak or paddle board must be inspected before it can be used in the Lake Quinault. ***CURRENTLY ALL LAKE QUINAULT PERMIT/INSPECTION OFFICES ARE CLOSED***

The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to do during our trip. The house is spacious with an amazing view of the lake, and we really enjoyed having a fully equipped kitchen. The only thing that would have made it even better would be a TV in the living room, so that we could relax together after our long days of adventure, since it was raining most of the time during our stay.
Beautiful! Beautiful! Love the wrap around deck! Love the view of the lake! The amenities were perfect. Super clean and cozy. Would recommend to anyone! We loved our stay - and of course Olympic National Park.
We had such an amazing time! The location was perfectly secluded, offering a peaceful escape with beautiful lake access. We loved spending time on the water and taking advantage of the paddle board, kayaks, canoe. Our pups had the best time jumping in and out of the lake—it was pure joy to watch. Kelly was a wonderful host, quick to respond and very accommodating to any questions we had. This spot truly exceeded our expectations and cannot wait to come back.
This is where we go to reset, restore, and re-energize. We love staying here, and in the middle of a long, gray winter, my mind wanders to the beach chairs and the quiet patio. We're coming back next summer.
Wow, there couldn’t be a more beautiful setting for this place! We headed straight down to jump on the kayaks, enjoyed our evening on the deck, and the home was clean and comfortable. It was nice that “town” had a small general store and we went to a fancy dinner at the lodge, just a couple miles away, but it still felt secluded. We want to come back here soon and bring more family members!
Great view and location. Enough beds for our group. One bunkbed was not stable and scared on of our friends getting up there. It is the right side when you walk into the room. A spider was found on a bottom bunk downstairs and 2 other spiders lingering around. I would like to rent this home again.
Everything was extremely clean, comfortable, and easy to access. My dog spent most of her days in the lake and there were excellent dog towels for drying her off. The property is beautiful and quiet and central to a lot of places if you want to make your way around the peninsula. Highly recommend!
Beautiful location right on Lake Quinault. Very quick drive over to the Quinault Loop for hiking - several trail choices. The house is just as shown on-line. Lots of space for relaxing, well equipped kitchen and cozy bedrooms. It was breezy on the lake so we were only able to take the kayaks out a couple times...but on the morning of our departure the lake was glass calm and one of the loveliest paddles we've ever done.
Nice house but lots of concerns….The back door did not lock and felt uneasy staying in the house being we were a group of just females. The kitchen sink faucet was not attached, no heat or electric plugs working in the basement rooms. House was clean and a great location but again kind of unsafe with a door that we could not lock.
Residence was all we had hoped. Excellent ambience, spacious for our group of four adults, well located for visiting the southwest area of Olympic National Park.
What a great place to stay on the Olympic Peninsula! We were only there for a short visit but sure wish we were able to stay longer… beautiful views from every window, fully equipped kitchen and lots of room for everyone. We had s’mores with a fire on the deck and even managed to squeeze in a paddle early morning with the kayaks- great stay!
The house is on a gorgeous property right on Lake Quinault. Easy access to drive to local attractions on the coast and in the forest. The house itself was very clean, spacious, and well stocked with everything we needed.

About the host
Hosted by Kelly Kennedy
We are a family of 5 that loves to travel and has stayed at over 50 vrbo properties all over the world. So when we bought a lake house in the Olympic Peninsula rainforest we knew we had to share it with other families.
Why they chose this property
We love lakes! And Lake Quinault is beyond beautiful and peaceful. The house is on 7 acres and you may stay for a week and not see another soul on this part of the lake. Easy access to the Washington coast and great rainforest hikes.
