As you arrive, you'll drive along a charming gravel road, beautifully lined with hemlocks and blooming mountain laurels. The 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath house is nestled on ten acres, boasting a level, shaded yard perfect for relaxation among family and friends.

A cheerful, screened front porch will greet you, and upon opening the front door, you'll be met with breathtaking views and a great room featuring hand-hewed woodwork. The main part of the home offers an open floor plan, seamlessly connecting the great room and dining room, which comfortably seats 8-10 people. Adjacent to the dining room, you'll find the kitchen, complete with meticulously handmade cabinetry, updated appliances, a spacious pantry, and a powder room. In the evening, unwind on the back porch with its expansive stone patio and comfy adirondack sofa set. Enjoy stunning sunset views of Whiteside Mountain and a night sky perfect for stargazing.

The master retreat features a large dressing room with two generous closets, an en-suite master bath with dual sinks, and spectacular mountain views. The two additional bedrooms are located on the opposite side of the house, sharing a full bath in a private hallway. With an additional powder room off the porch area.

The surrounding area, known as the Land of Waterfalls, offers endless opportunities for outdoor activities. Additionally, the towns of Highlands and Cashiers provide award-winning dining and shopping experiences.

Load and start the dishwasher

Gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

All trash MUST be put in plastic garage backs and taken to the can by the garage. It is emptied by hand into a truck, so all trash has to be contained. Tuesday and Fridays are trash days.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Over 6 guest, a 50.00 per guest, per night is required.

The description says it all. Spacious and comfortable inside and out. The stone deck with views of the mountains is the perfect relaxing spot. We will certainly return!

Amazing View in the Mountains

We had a lovely stay. This is an older home but extremely clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the back covered porch and patio appreciating the Amazing View and cool summer breeze. The AC units in the bedrooms are a little louder than we are used to but we were cool and comfortable at night. Great yard areas for dogs and perfect location between Highlands and Cashiers.

Amazing location & unbeatable view

Wonderful stay, you feel like you are visiting the mountain get aways of past. A step back to 1960, but with amenities we all prefer (dishwasher, warm showers, TV, kitchen, w/d, etc). Good communication, lots of space to spread out. Great house for entertaining. We can easily recommend.

Perfect family retreat

This was the perfect place for our young family of 4 to spend the week in the mountains. We had an amazing view and tons of room for the kids to play inside and out. The house feels totally remote and secluded yet you are only 10 minutes from Cashiers and 15 from Highlands. This has obviously been a well loved home and it made a perfect home away from home for us. They everything we could have possibly needed. We hope to be back. Could easily accommodate 2 families.

Lovely Location and Home

The view was superb and the house was wonderful in spite of being a bit outdated. Our one disappointment was in the instructions we received the day before our check-in, we were told not to have a fire in the fireplace. One of the main things we love about the mountains and renting houses is to have a fire. Otherwise, the house was well appointed and we enjoyed our visit.

Heavenly View

My daughter has a house in Cashiers but we needed more room for the Thanksgiving overflow. This house was perfect with a main living area and separate wings off the den for sleeping. The view is amazing from the den. Enjoyed seeing deer in the yard.The house is well stocked even with spices. It is a perfect older mountain home. Very comfortable. Communication with the manager was good. We hope to rent again.

Great location and incredible view. One of the best in the area without a doubt. Quite property with no sight of homes or neighbors. A very relaxing environment and we loved that. No central air but there is a unit in the bedroom. However, it was a low of 48F in the morning and highs of 73F in the evenings with a light breeze. We didn’t use it anyway! Marilyn was great and very helpful with checkin and providing hikes in the the area to enjoy. Thank you !!
