rustic mountain retreat

The views from this high-mountain bungalow are unbeatable. It's quiet, secluded, and cool up there. Nothing fancy, gorgeous, or luxurious about the house, but everything works, and is comfortable, well-equipped, and spacious enough for several people. It's a little rough around the edges, and has some 70's stuff, even a record player and records! The pure mountain spring water is delicious. You can walk right out the door into a mountain wonderland full of cows and donkeys, and to the top of an open mountain top! It's worth the very rough 20-minute drive up through the woods to get to this mountain meadow retreat, if you have a rugged vehicle like my Outback. The road to it starts just south of the high point on 74 at Hickory Nut Gap. The "driveway" to the cabin is hard to see, grown up in grass, and it has a really steep spot. It's after you've passed two houses. If you get to the last house, on the left, you've gone a little too far.
