After enjoying your visit to the park make sure you enjoy the fire pit too, which is located in the back of the house ( firewood on us). It is close to train tracks. Everythjng you need for a weekend getaway or a week long trip! The host Varv is amazing! She always make sure you got everything you need!! Thank you Varv! I will be back again! (She also has another cabin near by!)
Very clean and comfortable with many fun amenities. Owner was very quick to respond to questions. Great location about halfway between east and west entrances to Glacier.
This cabin was wonderful- it not only had everything our family of 5 needed and wanted, it was also very central to everything we had planned to do in Glacier National Park. The Host was super responsive and has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and worry-free! We would stay again for sure!
This was very cozy and an excellent vacation stay. The trains were barely noticeable to us. We had hiked from Walton Ranger station. There are also plenty of hikes in the National forest. The kitchen had all the essentials, but no dishwasher.
Great place to stay for access to both sides of the park. The host was responsive and the cabin had everywhere we needed. There were a lot of trains passing by but we slept fine.
This is our favorite cabin of all time! We are a family of back country and cross country skiers and this base camp is ideal for its warmth, location to all of our favorite spots and the amazing hospitality! I don’t want to share too much and keep this gem our sweet special treat!!!
Enjoyable stay in well equipped cabin close to Glacier
We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We liked the access to both sides of the park. There is highway noise and train noise, but we didn't mind, and the kids enjoyed watching the trains go by and did not hurt our sleep.
Very convenient to Glacier; very well stocked cabin, and a great visitor guest information binder. We liked that there weren’t a lot of “exiting” clean up rules.
Exactly as advertised and perfect accomodations for our family. Good location to visit both sides of the park. Questions were answered in a timely manner.

The cabin had good space in the kitchen, bath and other common areas plus the bedrooms. Livingroom was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Laundry area and deep tub in bathroom were a bonus! Would definitely stay again!
The cabin was well equipped -- not luxurious but well-equipped with everything we needed. Very convenient to the area we needed as it is halfway between the 2 gates of Glacier Park. The back deck was wonderful for relaxing after a hard day of driving...watching the chipmunks was fun!
Wonderful experience! Would definitely return for another stay. The cabin was well stocked! Enjoyed listening to the trains go by. Not too loud or distracting. Beautiful location. The host was a pleasure to work with. Excellent communication.
My friends and I enjoyed our time at this home. We loved grilling out and sitting on the back porch for dinner. The amenities were great for our group of 6. Kitchen was stocked with needed supplies for cooking which was helpful during our travels. There is no cell service however there is free WiFi. Lots of DVDs, maps, fun Glacier books, and laundry. Thank you for our stay!
We spent 6 days exploring Glacier NP and this cabin served as an excellent basecamp for visiting the park. It was convenient to both the east and west entrances so we spent less time on the road. The cabin is nothing fancy but served its purpose of a comfortable place to sleep and prepare most of our meals after a day of hiking and explorting. We would definitely use this again if we are lucky enough to make it to this area in the future. Check in and communication with the owner was excellent.

Train house
Very clean, fully stocked. Beds were cozy. We were aware of the train. We did not realize it was every 30-45 mins night & day. Road traffic was also loud, but they did offer ear plugs. Other than lack of sleep, the stay was great. We really enjoyed the deck, grill, awesome dishes & games. Thank you
We had a wonderful stay in this cabin with our family of five on our first trip to Glacier National Park. The cabin was really even better than pictured- very clean and comfortable. The only downside for us was the lack of a/c and we happened to be visiting on 90+ degree days, but every room had a high-end fan that cooled things down quickly when we got home. Our teens loved the back patio and the axe throwing game the hosts left out for us. We loved being able to get to the east side of Glacier, including Many Glacier, more easily than if we stayed in West Glacier, particularly since the eastern St. Mary's entrance doesn't require a vehicle reservation.
All in all I would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the Glacier area!
This was our first time in Montana, and we were celebrating my 35th Birthday. The cabin was cozy, clean, and rustic with modern day amenities such as Wi-Fi. It was a little out of town which was nice for us, but not too far out of town that we felt secluded. There are neighboring cabins on either side and across the road. We enjoyed grilling out and eating out on the back porch. The train tracks are right behind the house, so if you are a light sleeper, they might disturb you. We thought it was pretty cool to see them coming and going though. The cabin was about a 20 minute drive to Glacier National Park. There were also a lot of hikes nearby, but we only hiked within the park. The host put a lot of info regarding hikes, places to eat, nearby stores, etc. Also, fantastic communication with any questions! We would love to stay here again when we return for another trip!
Great cabin. Everything you need. All the misc. kitchen items, maps and plenty of wood. Perfectly placed between East and West Glacier. Many great hikes just minutes away.
Just beware if you are a light sleeper. It's located on US 2 maybe a few yards away in the front and sandwiched between railroad tracks in the back. I appreciate the charm of a passing freight train. No train whistles. But, I think there was about 12-15 that passed in one night (shaking the cabin). The road was relatively quiet late night. But, maybe for a noisy morning. I had to sleep with ear plugs the last few nights.
WiFi was reliable. But, barely fast enough to watch a YouTube video or use my Fire Stick.
