Almost Heaven offers some of Ruidoso's most spectacular views. From the rear decks and the main floor’s great room you can gaze high over the valley above Cree Meadows golf course and beyond to the majestic Sierra Blanca. Yet the home is just a short drive from the galleries, shops, and restaurants downtown. Travel up the winding road and nestle yourself on top of a hill for the view of a lifetime. You really can have it all when you stay here!

The open-plan living/dining/kitchen area is easily accessible to everyone in this gorgeous one level home. At Almost Heaven you can kick back on one of the plush sofas and watch your favorite cable shows on the flat-screen TV, surf the web via the free WiFi, or play games with the kids: In short, make yourself right at home. In the winter cozy up to the fireplace in the living room with plenty of room for everybody to enjoy; in summer you’ll appreciate the ceiling fans (and the central air-conditioning) when you return from hiking the nearby trails.

On the main deck are tables for 8, with a front-row view of the mountains. For a true feast, cook up some trout you reeled in yourself (or ribs from a supermarket) on the deck’s gas grill, mix up some margaritas in the kitchen blender, and dine alfresco as the sunset casts a golden glow over Sierra Blanca and the breeze rustles through the pines.

Almost Heaven's kitchen comes with a full array of appliances, cookware, and tableware, plus plenty of counter space and elbow room. The home also has a washer and a dryer for added convenience.

Almost Heaven’s master suite is ready for romance. French doors open directly onto the deck, framing Sierra Blanca perfectly. Stargaze with your sweetheart before heading inside for a soak in the private bathroom’s jetted tub—there’s room for 2. Then slip beneath the covers of the king-size bed… we’ll leave the rest up to you. The bedroom also has a flat-screen TV, while the bathroom includes a shower and a walk-in closet.

The other 2 bedrooms are at the other end of the home. Bedroom #1 is nearly as luxurious as the master, with a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and its own private deck with mountain views. Bedroom #2 also has a flat-screen TV, plus queen-size bed. These bedrooms have their own luxury bathrooms.

Almost Heaven’s stellar location makes it easy to get to all the local attractions. In less than 10 minutes you can drive to the galleries and artisan shops of Sudderth Drive or to Pillow’s Funtrackers, which offers go-karts, mini golf, a maze, and more family fun. Less than 15 minutes from the house are both Grindstone Lake and Trail System, where you can fish, boat, hike, ride mountain bikes and horses, and play disc golf, and Alto Lake and Recreation Area, whose lake is stocked with trout.

Ruidoso is an alpine mountain community. Expect twisty roads with steep grades. The weather is unpredictable and changes quickly. Elevation can vary between 6000’ to almost 12,000’. Most homes are multi-level with stairs on inclined lots. Expect wildlife to hinder traffic flow. Do not be surprised if the power goes out or when you lose internet or cell phone connection. This is the mountains, and it happens. We encourage guests be prepared with access to chains or 4-wheel drive in winter months for all our properties. This is not the big city. Life is easier and slower paced and more wonderful. This is why we come and why we stay. Relax and enjoy your time in paradise.
