Thank you so much, we had a very fun and relaxing time at your lovely and very clean house! We were very impressed with all the mattresses, they were all so comfortable it made it hard to choose what room we wanted to sleep in! This place is definitely on our list to stay at again.

My wife is in charge of our cleaning crew and she was so happy to find Cindy's family was so clean and respectful of the house. We hope you and family visit us again. Thank you.
Maureen and family were excellent guests. Large groups can be trouble sometimes but not Maureen's. They left the house extremely clean and she communicated well. We thank them and her and welcome them back anytime.
Great, quiet location on the water with a fairly private setting to allow for relaxation on the sandy beach area. House was very comfortable and most everything needed was on hand. We hope to come back for stay during the warmer months!
Three generations stayed, played, laughed, ate, enjoyed amazing sunrises, spectacular moonrises, and each other's company on the sandy shore of beautiful Lake Huron in John and Marisa's superb beach house that is everything it is advertised to be!
We chose John's house for our annual memorial weekend getaway with friends. Everything was perfect, house is in a great location and had everything we needed. Even the weather was perfect!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It was spotless and very comfortable. It was supplied with everything we could need. Being so close to the water made it the perfect place to relax.

I highly recommend this home as a vacation spot . It’s location is awesome, right on the beach of beautiful Lake Huron.. It is a very pretty home as well as very comfortable and so well stocked. My husband and I found this jewel last year for an anniversary getaway and both agreed this is where we wanted to go again this year.

Nice house great outdoor spaces kids loved the water but don’t forget your water shoes the bottom is a little rocky. Great weather for our stay now on to school
Great week for our annual vacation! Room to accommodate all ten of us! Roasting marshmallows and sing-a-longs on the beach were the best! Thanks for sharing
We were ALL very impressed with the beach house that we plan on staying there next year!! This entire weekend was perfect. The amenities were great all around. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. The hosts were over the top accommodating. Looking forward to our stay in 2024.
Perfect place for us 9 gals to get together and share some good food and drinks and catch up with each other. The owners bent over backwards to accommodate us, they are just the best. The beach out front with the most amazing sunrises, priceless. Can’t wait to do it all over again next year 😁

Holly and friends are in the dictionary next to "Excellent Guests" :).
Always welcome and a pleasure to talk to and host.
My friends and I have experienced different rentals along Lake Huron’s thumbcoast. This location is by far our favorite. Easy to find. Easy checkin. Beautiful, peaceful property. All the amenities you could need, plus some! Everyone got their own bed. Super clean, and modern with a slight touch of antique. John and Marissa were very responsive in communicating and have thought of every detail for their guests. We will be back!

Thank you, Kim, we appreciate having you and friends and you're always welcome, and we really appreciate your understanding and help with the refrigerator issue.
Best wishes and we will see you next year.
Our Girl’s Get Away at this beautiful beachfront home was absolutely perfect. This home is extremely clean, roomy and has EVERYTHING we needed. The view of the lake was breathtaking while relaxing in the living room/kitchen area. Although it was still a tad cool, it did not stop us from spending time on their beautiful sandy beach. It truly is the perfect place for families and friends to get away and relax. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. Debbie B

This is the 2nd year in a row that we have stayed on this property! We are a group of women celebrating over 45 years of friendship. We have had a girls getaway each year for the past at least 20 and this is the best property we have ever stayed at and will be our forever choice.
We stayed here on a girls trip. The views from just about every room in the house are hard to beat. The house is set up very nicely with plenty of areas for seating and windows to appreciate the gorgeous lake view. Plus, the seating area in the garage was great for our one rainy afternoon. We were able to stay dry but still enjoy the outdoors. We will definitely be back, and highly recommend!

A group of ladies celebrating 45+ years of friendship! This is our 3year here and we hope to have many more! The house is perfect! The location with its own private beach is just beautiful! It took us a few years to find the perfect location but we are so thrilled we found this gem!! Looking forward to next year already!!
My husband & I were looking for a relaxing weekend get away for our 40th wedding anniversary that was on the water with a great view. This was the perfect place. The home was beautiful as well as comfortable and well stocked with anything you might want or need. The view was amazing. We enjoyed our quiet weekend but there was also so much family/ / friend things to do that it would be a perfect vacation spot for a small group in the summer. We’re looking forward to going again. About the host
Hosted by John and Marisa Anderson
Your hosts and how we got here: My wife Marisa and I are a couple of 50-somethings from metro Detroit who really had never explored Michigan's thumb until a weekend trip with friends about 8 years ago. It was the thumb's yearly "Yard Sale Trail," coordinated every August along M25 from Algonac to Port Austin. Traffic, normally excellent on M25, is slow on this weekend as bargain hunters fill driveways, yards and barns. If you can crane and contort your neck long enough as you drive by, you too can find something you've been searching for your whole life, or at least that's what I was hoping, lol. We had always enjoyed antiquing (at the time I had a booth at an antique mall) and doing it with the company of our good friends was something we were really looking forward to. As it turned out this weekend in the thumb would turn out to be a life changing trip for all of us. As we left the concrete grey and right angles of Port Huron, it wasn't long before we realized this was more than a trip for garage saling and a stay in a motel. The visions of Lake Huron peaking out from the trees' canopies on M25 exuded calmness and relaxation, even though we were just 80 minutes from home. It was as if we had entered another realm. I half expected Rod Serling to be standing behind the table at the next sale, arms folded, telling us we were "witnessing a new world".
Why they chose this property
By the time our friends were on the last day of our little trip they were pricing cottages. We started shortly after that, and along with Marisa's parents Mike and Gina (2 other adventurers), we purchased this 100 by 200' plot of land (with a condemned trailer on it) from the bank in 2013. The house is modular, driven here and set up in 2015. The upstairs, garage, and deck were left unfinished or were dreams at that moment.., but we were focused and united in creating that "other realm." My father in law's construction and building experience (as well as our ability to youtube) helped us to complete the project during weekends, days off, and vacations (if it ever really is "completed.")
What makes this property unique
We lost Gina to illness in 2017 but her spirit and legacy lives within all of her family and friends and through all her projects, especially this project that we all embarked on shortly after that "Yard Sale Trail" some 8 years ago. We are so happy you are spending quality time with your families and friends here, these walls were created by the hope and love we know you share, and your events here will be a part of that happy fabric...
