Built in 1925 the Cody House has the charm of an older home with the conveniences of modern living. Located in the heart of downtown Cody. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and many popular tourist attractions, including the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. This family friendly property is the perfect basecamp for your trip to the Yellowstone/Cody area.
Spacious kitchen, dining room and outdoor deck make it a perfect place to gather and entertain.
Owners Sophie and Troy live close by, and will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have about the area.
Between the two us we have 40+ years of experience in the hospitality and guest service industry in the Yellowstone area. Sophie was a great host! Terrific house and location - easy to walk to the museums and downtown. Wonderful backyard and front porch for relaxing, and two large areas for eating. Amazing and well stocked kitchen :)

Wonderful, family and group friendly house. Well- stocked kitchen, perfect backyard for BBQ and letting little ones run around. Very quiet street at night. Excellent responsiveness from owner/ manager. We couldn’t have been happier, and the house served as a sort of “ base-camp for other family and friends renting in Cody.

Get Away With Friends

We loved the house!! It was prefect as a home base to see the sights(Yellowstone, Bighorn Canyon, Red Lodge and of course Cody). Loved the big kitchen and the back deck outdoors. We grilled two nights and watched football. The location is perfect because you can walk downtown for shopping and dining. Highly recommend! Our host was wonderful.

Cody Perfection

Location was fabulous for visiting parks and the wonderful Buffalo Bill Museum. We loved that we could walk to town. House was really clean and had a lot of space for our group of six. House was the most well-stocked of all the properties we stayed at. Bonus of deer walking down the street was fun.

Spectacular Home

The home is in a perfect location to explore downtown Cody. Many sites are within easy walking distance. The home is spacious, charming, and comfortable. It is well appointed with a kitchen that has everything for convenient cooking. Sophie is a wonderful hostess. She called to let me know that we could check in early. During our stay, she texted to see if we needed anything. She is gracious and wants to make sure that her guests are comfortable. We had a wonderful and memorable time there!

We loved staying here!

This place was amazing. It was very clean and well kept (and I’m super picky about cleanliness). It happened to be super hot while we were here, but the rooms upstairs were still nice and cool if you kept the doors shut, as Sophie advised. There were so many extras and comforts. Sophie was easy to get ahold of and was great at communicating with us. The kids enjoyed the games outside of an evening in the back yard. The city of Cody was great & we enjoyed walking around to the shops nearby & eating at Irma’s. We also had fun at the Cody Nite Rodeo. I would highly recommend staying here if you are on the fence!

I am originally from Ipswich England, and my husband is from Lafayette Louisiana. We purchased our house when we first moved to Cody and lived in it for four years. At that time we were asked to manage a ranch between Cody and the Eastgate of Yellowstone National Park. Our job requires us to live on the ranch, but we are happy to have a home base in town during the school year for our kids. Especially when the weather is bad.
