There is also a pull out couch in the living room for a extra guest or two. The bathroom has a oversized subway tile shower as well as beautiful tiled floor. In the living room you will have the log cabin feel with all the wooded ceiling as well as throughout the sleeping areas as well. There is a large granite top island to prepare your dishes and also to have game nights and rewind from the day. This place is great inside but what really draws the attention is the outdoor areas. Outside the cottage there is a large seating area for grilling and relaxing. On the way down the stairs to the lake halfway down you will arrive at "The Ski Bar" a eclectic decorated bar of antiques, old ski gear, and all kinds of entertainment! The ski bar has a large wood slab bar along with neon lights! This bar will not disappoint with the views either! It has great lake views as well as a beautiful view of pilot mountain. From the bar down you will find another great area to either eat or lounge about from the day listening to the boats pass by or mother nature at its finest. From the deck you will be at Lake Lures water edge. The boathouse is situated back in a peaceful cove where swimming is one of the very best past times. Also, we do provide a canoe and paddle boat for those who would like to see more of the waterside of Lake Lure.
The house does have high speed internet. Please also be advised the house does not sit directly on the water and like most mountain lake homes has steps to get to the water and boathouse. If you have issues going up and down stairs this house is not suitable for you to access the water.

About the host
Hosted by Byron Marsh
Hello all, I am a true Lake Lure and Asheville native. My family has been on the lake for over 50 years and we still own one of our original lakeside homes. I am also happy to call Asheville NC home for over 30 years, where I was able to spend most of my free time in the outdoors. From Asheville, I moved away for college and attended UNCC, go FORTY NINERS! After college and some nine to five jobs I finally became my own boss and launched a property management/real estate business. With the business operating since 2015 we have been successful in providing people with lifelong vacation experiences as well as providing longterm housing. While in my thirties I still find as much time to as possible to be outside and surrounded by water.
Why they chose this property
Nestled in the quiet setting within Lake Lures shoreline sits this quaint cottage. Our family purchased the property in 1985. The property has two houses on the land. The cottage first served as a boat storage facility while my parents ran the local marina in town. We then converted it to a man cave and then finally the cottage it is today, a unique tiny home! We maximized the small interior space by providing queen-size bunk beds, to accommodate four people. The bathroom has a larger feeling with its oversized walk in tiled shower. In the living room we have a pull out couch to accommodate one or two extra people.
The house is situated back in a peaceful cove and is located right off of Havnaers Point Circle. It has wonderful outdoor areas to relax and enjoy mother nature but also great areas for family time too!
The house is in close vicinity to Buffalo Creek Trailhead/Park, Legends Restaurant, Larkins Restaurant and 15 miles to town center.
This property gives you the ability to take in all the treasures that Lake Lure provides without breaking your wallet!
