About this property

Welcome to our little slice of Heaven!

Bill's Bungalow is a brand new spacious one bedroom apartment with many windows all facing beautiful Lake Lure. As you come down the steps, there is a welcoming porch with table, chairs and grill to enjoy the outdoors with views of the lake. Walk around the corner and there is another porch with relaxing chairs and a fire pit over looking the lake. Inside you will find a custom made kitchen with all of the amenities for preparing meals and beverages. The living room has a full size futon. The bathroom is spacious with a tub/shower. The bedroom has a queen size bed with a rocking chair. In another room is a full size washer and drier and closet. All rooms have beautiful lake views.
This apartment is located on the bottom level of our house. It is quiet and private. We have a boathouse with a dock and upper deck. Both are open to our guests. We have 2 kayaks available for our guests which is shown in the photos. There are a number of stairs to the apartment and boathouse. We are pet friendly, but please contact us first. We love dogs and have dogs. This is their backyard so if your pets are not friendly, please leave them at home. Also, we do charge $25 a night for pets.

Beautiful

It was short but sweet stay. We were in need of a quiet weekend and it was perfect. Mara and Frank were great host.

Fantastic Stay

Stay at Bill’s Bungalow

We had a wonderful and relaxing visit at Bill’s Bungalow. We wish we could have stayed longer. The place had everything we needed including plenty of outdoor seating to sit and enjoy the lake. We also took advantage of the kayaks that were available. There were also plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby. We did meet Frank, who was very nice, and Harvey and Beau, but, unfortunately, we did not get to meet Mara. Maybe next time.

Get place for a couple

Bill’s Bungalow was a home away from home. Mara was very welcoming. The property was exactly as the pictures show and also very well stocked. My husband and I used the kayaks everyday. I sat on the dock and watched the sunrise most morning. The bungalow is on a quite cove. Already planning a return trip back to lake lure and Bill’s Bungalow. Perfect place for a peaceful getaway.

We live on the first floor of the house. There is a floor in between that serves as an art studio and office. We love Lake Lure and are happy to share our boat house and toys with you.

What makes this property unique

Cozy place for 2. Great getaway for 2 friends, couples or a couple with a small child. We love dogs and have 2 of our own. If your dog is not friendly and or doesn't get along with other dogs, please do not bring him/her. Also, if you are not pet friendly, this may not be the place for you. Our dogs are very sociable.
