Welcome to L'Esprit du Bois

A chalet nestled in the forest, in Puy de Dôme, in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Park. In winter, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and downhill skiing on the program. In summer, hikes galore on the ridges of dormant volcanoes or swimming and canoeing on lakes with crystal clear waters. A bucolic cocoon ideal for disconnecting and recharging your batteries. We can even see deer come to say hello from the panoramic window of the living room! Perfect for a romantic getaway!

    Communication was not generally initiated by the host. We had to request information.The photos give the impression that the property is in a woodland glade. To be fair it is. However the front verandah and main outdoor seating area is just a few feet from another chalet which is undergoing renovation and expansion which isn't shown on the photos, So if you sit out on the deck all you see in front of you is black plastic sheets covering the back of the neighbouring property. This is a shame as the area is lovely and the interior of the property is comfortable and as described on the web page.

    Très bon séjour chez Samuel. L' endroit respire le calme et la quiétude. Le chalet est vraiment sympa, propre, accueillant, avec tout le confort souhaité... on a été comblé. Merci à Samuel pour sa confiance, sa discrétion et sa sympathie. (en revanche : la caution a été un peu plus longue que prévu à être restituée... alors Abritel !!!...mais arrivée quand même.)
