About this property

Beautiful large farmhouse with private pool set in 75 acres

Set in the heart of the Limousin Périgord National Park La Broulie is a 350 year old farmhouse with some of the barns around the courtyard dating back to the 15th century. It is positioned in the middle of it's own 75 acres of farmland, woods and lake, and is wonderfully isolated with far reaching views over the surrounding countryside.

Inside: 5 x double bedrooms, attic room sleeps 6 (ideal for kids), 4 x bathrooms (2 en-suite), 3 x reception rooms (wood burners & sky boxes), dining room (seats 12/14), big kitchen/diner (large hob, 2 x ovens, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer), 2 x utility rooms (washing machine, tumble dryer, 2nd fridge, 2nd freezer), study room, telephone and internet, pool table.

Outside: heated swimming pool (12 x 5m, open 1st June to 1st October), electric hard safety cover, sun loungers and sofas, daybed, shower, 2 x barbecues, outside covered dining area can sit 14 comfortably with 16 at a squeeze, lighting and power for ipods etc ensure you can wine and dine into the small hours. Lake stocked with carp, table tennis, some old bikes but best to bring your own as there is excellent cycling in the area, both on and off road.

Location: situated in the Perigord/Limousin national park approx 30 mins south west of Limoges and 45 mins north of Perigeaux. There is lots to do with swimming, fishing, canoeing and sailing in the numerous lakes and rivers, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, excellent outdoor go-karting course nearby, tennis court in village, lots of typical French chateaux's to explore and if you're into pottery take a tour around the world famous porcelain factories in Limoges.

Uni lot holiday 2023

Our party of 16 had a really wonderful time staying in this farmhouse. The house and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful and full of charm. The house was brilliantly equipped and we were able to enjoy doing lots of cooking. The pool and outdoor area were so great that we didn’t want to leave the house much and spent most of the stay having pool days and playing games in the grounds. We will be back!

La Broulie - a fantastic place to relax.

Fantastic property, full of character and great facilities. The kitchen is well stocked with all sorts of equipment. Loads of places to sit as a group both indoors and out. Bedrooms are comfy and spacious. The pool is amazing and gave hours of fun for everyone, as well as relief from the heat. Great beaches at lakes nearby where you can swim or hire kayaks/pedalos. The nearest supermarket is on the other side of the village making it very convenient. All round, a great location to relax! We had a great week and would highly recommended it.

Séjour incroyable !

J'ai réservé la propriété de Tim pour les 30 ans de mon conjoint et tout était au rendez-vous ! La propriété est magnifique, tant la maison que les extérieurs. Les activités ne manquent pas : pêcher sur le lac, faire du ping pong, sauter sur le trampoline, jouer à la pétanque et surtout... Se baigner dans cette immense piscine ! La maison est très bien équipée et décorée avec goût. Aucun voisin aux kilomètres à la ronde, on s'y sent vraiment privilégiés. Tim a été un super hôte qui m'a envoyé toutes les informations à l'avance avec des instructions très claires et qui a accepté que les horaires d'arrivée et de départ puissent être ajustés. L'arrivée et le départ se sont fait en totale autonomie, comme à la maison. Après ses 4jours qui laisseront des souvenirs memorables, personne ne voulait partir et mon conjoint n'aurait pas pu rêver mieux pour ses 30ans ! J'écris jamais de commentaire mais là, je ne peux que vous recommander de séjourner là bas, ne passez pas à côté de cette opportunité 🙂.

Het vakantieverblijf beantwoordde meer dan 100% aan onze verwachtingen. Het huis is zeer ruim, de keuken biedt alle comfort. De kamers zijn ruim en de slaapzolder is schitterend voor de kinderen. Het zwembad is heerlijk, ook alle voorzieningen buiten zijn super gezellig: grote eettafel, barbecue, kampvuur, ping-pong, veel knusse hoekjes en niet te vergeten de vijver met het bootje... De eigenaar is super vriendelijk en steeds bereikbaar. Een gemeld defect werd onmiddellijk door een vakman opgelost. We waren er met onze kinderen en 8 kleinkinderen tussen 10 en 18 jaar. Iedereen was super enthousiast ! Een aanrader !!!

Beautiful farm house in large grounds

This is an enormous property fully equipped with everything needed. Tim is very responsive. We only stayed four days but can see this being a great place to relax with family for a longer time. Our only real issue was that there were so many wasps that we couldn't really eat outside, and had to keep all doors and windows closed to avoid wasps coming into the house. Not sure if anything can be done about this given it is in the countryside but it was unfortunate. There are apple and pear and fig trees at the back of the garden and a lovely friendly farm cat that the kids adored. Overall we all loved our stay, and would definitely come again.

Endroit magnifique et maison très fonctionnelle

Nous étions 12 personnes (de 8 à 72 ans) et avons passé un très agréable séjour à la Broulie. L'endroit est idéal pour les retrouvailles intergénérationnelles car la maison comme l'extérieur sont très grands, très bien équipé et chacun peut s'isoler et vaquer à ses occupations. Tout est très bien aménagé.

Paradise

The ride up the gravel drive was just the beginning of 2 weeks in paradise. Beautiful, old farmhouse with plenty of room for the whole family, amazing kitchen, great swimming pool and enough to entertain adults and children day and night. Quiet area with necessary amenities and good restaurants a short drive from the house. We really had a great time and will definitely consider returning!!!

Stunning property and location!!

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday at La Broulie, 6 adults & 9 children. We have been holidaying in France for 16 years and this property is by far our favourite. The farmhouse has so much character and charm. The kitchen is to die for if you love cooking, very very well equipped. The views from the pool are beautiful and it’s so quiet and peaceful. Ben was on hand for any problems and Tim was very quick to respond and was a great help. The kids loved exploring round the farmhouse and surrounding land, down to the large fishing lake. With bikes, trampoline and plenty of things to play with, they never got bored. We really hope to return one day.

What an AMAZING house (area) !! nice rooms , very nice kitchen and pool. We enjoyed ourself in the house/pool/flieds… BBQ/ fire basket... And the cat Tommi ! We had everything we needed. Beautifull location, all around the green, no neighbours. Cussac is very small. Less thing to do. 25-40 min drive needed for thing to do... I recommend this house to everyone ! Enjoy it !!

Tim, thanks for your kindness and congrats for this beautiful house. We'll come back! The rest in french, your son will translate, I'm sure :) Notre séjour a été très apprécié par les petits comme par les grands. Nous sommes 4 familles avec enfants de 2 à 10 ans et nous étions à l'aise avec les grandes chambres, les 4 salles de bain, le dortoir pour les enfants, la merveilleuse cuisine et les extérieurs splendides. Beau temps au RV donc la piscine a été utilisé du matin au soir avec plaisir par tous. L'environnement est parfait, belle vue, calme, et le lac pas loin pour aller pêcher. L'équipement de la maison est idéal, la décoration est très réussie. Seul petit bémol, la chaleur dans le dortoir sous les combles, peut-être une climatisation serait elle un plus? Mais vraiment, une maison et un environnement que nous recommandons sans hésitation. Le propriétaire Tim a été parfait, très sympa, disponible et apportant toutes les informations souhaitées, alors que nous ne nous sommes jamais rencontrés. Merci et à une prochaine fois!

Bel endroit

Nous avons passé quelques jours pour fêter le jour de l'an entre amis et notre séjour a été très agréable. Nous étions 16 personnes dont 8 enfants qui ont aussi beaucoup apprécié le séjour. Les chambres et la literie sont très confortables et l'espace cuisine très pratique. Nous reviendrons certainement pour profiter des espaces extérieurs en été.
