Serene Lakefront Log Estate: 4-Acre Private Retreat with Sauna

Thank you for the wonderful review and for highly recommending our property! We are so glad you found the house clean, welcoming, and enjoyed the kayaks and pontoon boat. We are very sorry that the 100-degree heat and Canadian wildfire smoke kept you indoors for three days. While we always want our guests to have a great time exploring the outdoors, extreme weather and regional air quality are entirely outside of our control. Ratings on platforms like VRBO directly affect our Premier Host status and our ability to host future guests. When scores are lowered due to acts of nature that we cannot change or fix, it creates an unfair penalty for circumstances beyond our reach. We truly appreciate your recognition of our home's cleanliness and amenities!

Our property has never had or listed having a hot tub, we only have a sauna. Regarding fishing, like most lakes, there are many variables to fishing success. For example, during 2 weeks we were at the Cottage this summer, the grandchildren had days of just a few to having over 2 dozen catches of keepers in a couple hours.

We are so happy your family had a nice stay and that you took advantage of the pontoon boat. The best swimming on the lake is at the west end where there is plenty of pristine water. For all the years we have owned the Cottage the lake level has been such that there was good swimming area right in front. Unfortunately, Mother Nature is giving much of Michigan very hot and dry conditions and inland lake levels are very low especially our little lake where the lake level is at a multi-decade low.
