Forse andava detto.
Mi spiace ma non siamo stati contenti !
Vi salutiamo.

Big disappointment!
The apartment was a big disappointment. Yes, the pictures on the site are correct, but when we arrived we were shocked; it looked like a slum! A piece of bare ground, full of litter.
The "terrace" is a part of the street before the front door. Next to it, a building is being renovated. So, loud noises and dust make this "terrace" unusable and the living inside the apartment impossible from 8:00 till 19:00.
Never book this apartment!

Eccellente sistemazione
Ho soggiornato 4 notti nell'alloggio di Gustavo. Vicinissimo
a tutto: Metro, Ristoranti, Centro Movida. Ottima connessione WIFI.
Complimenti veramente!

Olarias House-Cozy
The house itself was very clean and cozy and just as the pictures show. We were very comfortable for our 10 day stay in Lisbon. Gustavo was great with suggestions for food/roof top bars etc. Some missed communication with arrival and departure. Outside the apartment was all under construction. There was no nice area to sit outside and relax as shown in the photos as scaffolding and construction mess was everywhere. I am sure it will be nice again once this construction passes. This whole area of town is under construction Monday through Friday adding a lot of noise and filth. There are other areas of Lisbon undergoing renovations as well... and had we known we would have waited to visit this city once the main construction was done as it was a bit of a nuisance. I would however recommend this flat once the construction was completed!

On recommande !

In English : this place is just perfect for a touristic stay in Lisbon. Its location enables you to be in a very interesting area in the old part of the city and also near the center and near a tube station on a line which takes you quicky to strategic places (station, airport etc...). The flat has everything you can need including a washing-machine, a dishwasher, a microwave and a real oven. The style of the place is great, in very good taste, cosy, and you feel at home immediately when you arrive. It is perfectly clean and you'd think everything is new! It's also very quiet at night and you can enjoy birdsongs and churchbell chimes!... Of course we'll try and come again if we get the chance and we will definitely recommend it to friends....

What makes this property unique
The district of Mouraria is one of the most traditional districts of Lisbon. It was in this area that the Moors lived after the conquest of Lisbon by D. Afonso Henriques in 1147 until they were expelled in the 15th century. From that time there are few vestiges, nevertheless the Mouraria is still today the most multicultural district of the city. In all, 56 nationalities coexist in this neighborhood, most of them in Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan and Mozambique.
Despite its multiculturality, and offering many international products and stores, Mouraria continues to be a typically Lisbon neighborhood. This cozy neighborhood is located between Martim Moniz and São Jorge Castle. Once a more troubled and dilapidated neighborhood, Mouraria has undergone renovation work in 2009, making it one of the most interesting tourist and cultural sites in Lisbon.
This neighborhood is also known as the birthplace of Fado. Severa lived there, the first fado singer known in Portugal in the 19th century. It is said that Severa fell in love with an earl and that was when the fado came to the aristocratic halls. In the twentieth century, Fernando Maurício lived in this clay, being considered the "king of fado da Mouraria". Rua do Capelão is part of the iconography of fado. It was also in Mouraria that Mariza grew, the most international Portuguese fadista of the present time.
This neighborhood attracts tourists for its multiculturalism and simultaneously for its traditional character. There are restaurants and shops of various countries, as well as several fado houses and typical taverns. It is worth going through Largo do Intendente, which has one of the most beautiful tile facades in the city, and the Orphans Boys' College in Rua da Mouraria, with its tiled staircase.
If you visit Mouraria, do not forget to stop by the medieval house of Largo da Achada. This is located behind the Church of São Cristóvão and is one of the oldest houses in Lisbon, with ogival doors and windows.
