Come to beautiful Bainbridge Island and enjoy the spectacular waterfront location of The Beach House on Bainbridge. With stunning views and an easy walk to town, this family friendly beach home offers something for everyone. Perfectly situated, you are a 10-minute walk from the iconic Washington State Ferries and picturesque downtown Winslow. Comfortably sleeping 8, this wonderful, casual home is ideal for a long, getaway weekend or a memorable family vacation.
A quick walk from your front door takes you to the best dining and shopping that Bainbridge Island has to offer. Stroll down picturesque Winslow Way and you will find something for every member of your family. Enjoy brunch at the quaint Streamliner Diner and then head off to explore the beautiful Winslow Waterfront Park. Walk through the history of the island at the Bainbridge Historical Museum and then shop the seasonal Farmers Market for great local produce and crafts. Head down to Doc’s Marina Grill for a shore-side lunch and enjoy the views.
The spectacular south-eastern exposure provides stunning views of Mount Rainier and the arriving ferries. Just steps from the backyard, access the public beach bordering Eagle Harbor. Paddle the calm waters of the coved inlet in provided kayaks or paddle boards. Wade in the tide-pools or enjoy the nature boardwalk through wetlands of Hawley Cove just a few minutes' walk down the beach. Enjoy coffee from the lower deck while watching the seals and herons in the bay. Evenings spent enjoying the waterfront fire-pit will bring a lifetime of amazing memories.
At the end of the day, retreat inside and drift off to sleep with the sound of the waves as your background music. Upper floor of the house has a primary bedroom suite with ¾ bath, queen size bed TV (cable) and private access to the second-floor deck. Also upstairs is a private bedroom with a double bed and Smart TV (DVD player attached, Roku, Hulu ready). Down the hall is a dorm-style room with three double beds. A family friendly full bath accommodates the upstairs bedrooms.
The main floor has a convenient ensuite bedroom with a queen bed that includes an ADA compliant shower. Each bedroom has ample space for clothes storage.
Across the front of the house is a spacious living room with floor-to-ceiling windows that highlight the views of Mt Rainier and Puget Sound and includes a wood-burning fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating. A separate family room includes TV and ample seating. A variety of games and puzzles are provided, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
The large kitchen is outfitted with everything you need to prepare meals for all your guests including two ovens and a breakfast bar that seats 5. Just off the kitchen is a separate, butcher-block pantry for baking and food storage. An outside gas barbecue is available for your use.
The generously sized dining room has unobstructed views of Puget Sound and includes a dining table that seats 10, allowing your family and friends to enjoy meals together. When weather permits, there are two full sized picnic tables down at the water’s edge for outdoor dining. A large fire-pit completes this wonderful, waterfront yard.
A variety of bikes are available for guest use along with kayaks and paddle-boards.
Private parking for 3 cars.
