Wonderful property! Clean and bright.

Our family had a lovely week in this great home just across the street from the beach. We were close to shopping and had access to trails for biking, loved having our dogs with us too.

Great Outer Banks House

The location of this house is absolutely amazing. Truly within walking distance of the beach. Tons of porch space to enjoy. So much accommodations for a family including beds, fun toys and games and even beach toys. We had a blast and it is located near so many great things to do on the Outer Banks. Check in was a bit difficult, couldn’t get the code to work but property management was very responsive and sent help out pretty quickly.

The location is definitely the highlight of this property, as it is 3 houses from the beach access/boardwalk area. We stayed for one week as a family of six and had plenty of room. Of all the houses we’ve rented in OBX, this had the best location and a very well stocked kitchen. A bonus is that all of the cabinets and drawers were clearly labeled. The neighborhood was quiet and clean and located about 1/2 mile from the Harris Teeter grocery store. There were plenty of towels furnished. On our first night, lightning knocked out power for the neighborhood, which was restored in a few hours. This caused the blower motor to stop working for the A/C unit that supplied the first and second floors. The Resort Realty contact person responded quickly and a technician was there later that day—we never were uncomfortably warm since the upstairs unit worked very well. One minor criticism is that the pool is somewhat small, and we would have appreciated a gas grill and a Keurig coffee machine. Overall it was a great stay and we would return.

Great location

Lovely home and great location. Desperately needs new beach chairs, deck chairs and a sliding door which opens and closes more easily. It was a challenge to open the third floor sliding door. Well appointed home with comfortable living spaces . Our only “complaint” would be that the cleaning of the home was a bit deficient. The counters were not really clean and several coffee mugs had hardened food in them. We loved our vacation.

Mediocre house for cost in Ocean Sands OBX

Positive: Nice but small rooms. +close to beach, lifeguard at beach. Pool clean, AC worked well, kitchen well equipped, refrig cold. Ice and water good Negative: - dishwasher didn’t clean dishes even with scrubbing Beds not made Bbq old and decrepid - difficult to use Hated covers on lr furniture. Pool way too small for 5 bdrm house Driveway too small for 3-4 car family No view No table on deck to eat outside Wasps near garbage cans Property overgrown, not well groomed or kept up. I was disappointed. have rented in Ocean Sand from Carolina Designs over 20 yrs, and this Resort Realty house was rather mediocre. Won’t recommend.
