If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains look no further. There is no river view from this property. We are 10 minutes to downtown West Jefferson or Blue Ridge Parkway entrance, 1/4 mile to Elk Shoals river beach and 30 minutes to Boone NC. Local attractions like canoeing, kayaking and hiking all within 10 minutes. Driveway is gravel and steep in some locations.

Well maintained cabin with privacy, every comfort, great amenities & a very responsive & informed host. Would stay there again. They have a yoga studio with classes on the property but unfortunately did not take advantage of it.

Memorial Day getaway

Loved the seclusion and the road wasn't very difficult to access. Cabin was perfect size with all the amenities we needed. Communication with owner was very good. Would definitely stay here again

Nice getaway

Quiet, peaceful little cabin. Secluded, but at the same time, you're only about 10 minutes from the town of West Jefferson, which is a neat little place.

I would recommend putting in your description that 4 wheel drive is strongly recommended.

Beautiful, well equipt cabin in a great location.

Pictures in the listing do not do this place justice. We have stayed in many cabins over the years and this one is just perfect. Super clean and super easy to deal with the owner. We couldn't be more happy with our stay here. Thank-you !

Wonderful getaway

The place was super clean. It had everything we needed. The owners communication was nearly immediate. Icing on the cake was the DVR. We would definitely recommend these owners and this cabin!

Wedding Anniversary

The cabin was very cozy and clean. Owner lives at the foot of the hill and was readily available if we had problems of which there were none. Close to grocery store and downtown West Jefferson.

Peaceful mountain cabin

We enjoyed a very peaceful stay in this well equipped, very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated cabin. Our host was very helpful and readily available for any needs. Nice location with a view of the mountain and close enough to hear the relaxing sound of the New River. We enjoyed our evenings in the cool of the night enjoying a fire, looking at the sunset skies, and enjoying all of the stars. Hope to go back again soon.

Great cabin

This was a very clean, comfortable cabin in a great location. All it needed to make it perfect was a view. If a few trees were cut down, I believe there would be a beautiful view of the river. And I agree with the person who said getting up the steep drive was a bit tricky - tires spun on gravel. Overall, a great place!

Excellent location, great place

The cabin was even nicer than we expected from the pictures. The location is great, and very convenient to the Elk Shoals section of the New River State Park, West Jefferson, and Mt Jefferson. It was wonderful sitting on the deck and hearing the river below. The sky was dark enough at night to see the Milky Way. It would be a great place for star gazing with a telescope. It is definitely on our repeat list.

Quiet respite in the woods

What a lovely property! Quiet, great location, well furnished and comfortable - the perfect base for enjoying local attractions, the great outdoors, and to sit on the porch to listen to the River go by. The hosts are wonderful folks. The yoga studio offers class participation for a nominal fee; didn’t get to do that this time. This is our second stay and we’ll be back again. Thanks for everything!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Lovely location within earshot of the New River in NC mountains. The property was conveniently located to attractions, necessities. The outdoor yoga classes were a welcome invitation to center mind, body and spirit while listening to the river. Frank and Jeannine were perfect and responsive hosts, sharing their recommendations for dining, cooking, and outdoor activities. Questions and needs were immediately handled. The cabin has everything you need for a short or lengthy stay. We've already sent booking info to two other couples! Thanks for everything.

Peaceful Perfection

This place is just good for the soul! We spent a great deal of time on the porch listening to "nature's symphony". There's nothing better than morning coffee on the front porch in the mountains. Frank & Jeannine were extremely accommodating & hospitable. I even participated in a yoga class taught by Frank (even though I didn't know much about yoga). But I must admit it was a good way to follow up morning coffee. However, my husband opted for a 2nd cup on the porch (no yoga for him...ever lol). The cabin was clean & neat as a pin. The kitchen had all the necessities and was a perfect size. Even though you feel secluded and surrounded by all nature has to offer, it's only a short drive to our favorite town of West Jefferson. We will definitely be back since this little gem offers the best of both worlds (relaxation & rejuvenation close proximity to the best town on the planet)! Thank you for allowing us to hit the reset button and take a pause from the "chaos" of life. :)

Peace, Quite and Salad

Just came back from a wonderful 5 night stay outside of West Jefferson, NC. Cabin was great, in a secluded area that was actually quite close to town. About a 12 minute drive to town, but the road is winding. If you want peace and quirt with a small dose of relaxing river sounds this is the place for you. Perfect for two people. Kitchen was well equipped with new appliances and all that you would need for cooking meals. Front porch has rockers and comfy chairs.Heat and air worked well. This is just a really fun place. Owners were very helpful and believe it or not offered home grown salad greens on our second night. Did I mention it is not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway and just up the hill from the New River. Great VRBO experience.

Wonderful Getaway Place

Cozy cabin

Really cute and cozy cabin! Very clean and great location. It’s at the top of a steep driveway. Keep that in mind when booking your stay there. Otherwise it was a great experience.
