Welcome to the Cozy Moose Cabin! Located in Purlear, NC on Buck Mountain, a private gated 3,400-acre community, this Pet Free/Smoke Free cabin is located only 20 minutes from Boone and 35 minutes from Blowing Rock via the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. If you are visiting for a nearby wedding, Sky Retreat is 38 minutes away and Wonderlust Acres is 37 minutes away.

Our Cabin sits on 10.5 secluded acres (the cabin is not visible from the main road) and affords you the privacy you may be seeking for a vacation of reconnecting or a vacation of disconnecting from the rest of the world. The property is easily accessible without a four-wheel drive vehicle, but it is suggested in the winter months when snow is on the ground. While we love Fluffy and Fido, pets are NOT allowed at this property as the owner is extremely allergic. This is a NON-SMOKING/NON-VAPING/NO HUNTING property.

The Buck Mountain Community features a relaxing waterfall, a small stocked pond (catch and release only) and hiking trails. Being centrally located to Boone, West Jefferson, and Wilkesboro gives you many options close by for dining and entertainment.

Our kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, baking pans, utensils, glasses, a crock pot, a hand mixer and cooking utensils, along with a gas grill located outside.
