Comfortable vintage waterfront cottage with dock and large deck. Bring your boat! Directly on Lake Winnisquam in the NH Lakes Region. Fully equipped, sleeps up to 4. WiFi, rowboat, two kayaks, fire pit, living room, two bedrooms, bath with shower and separate 1/2 bath, enclosed porch, kitchen, washer/dryer, dishwasher, air conditioning, gas grill, parking for two cars, 24 foot dock, shallow water sandy-bottom entry at shore, swim raft. We have two video-only security cameras, one on the driveway and one at the waterfront.

Near all Lakes Region attractions: Weirs Beach, Laconia, Tanger Outlets, Fun Spot, hiking, rail-trail biking, fishing. Not far from White Mountains and other New England destinations.

We had a wonderful stay. It’s a great location, close to a number of attractions and it is right on the water. The dock and deck were some of the best parts. You get a great view while having meals and you also get easy access to the water just steps away from the house.

Cottage right on the lake. Views were beautiful and there’s a private dock and access to the water. Cottage is basic but affordable and the location can’t be beat. It also came with a lot of basic necessities like laundry detergent, bug spray, all kitchen needs, and even some toys for my granddaughter. Owner was very responsive and helpful.

Very clean and modest old school cottage in a nice lakefront location. Firepit and grill in the small backyard by the lake and dock. Deck overlooking the water perfect for sunset dining. Check-in delayed by an hour or so due to cleaning crew snafu. Host good with communication. Would definitely stay again.

The absolute highlight of this property is the spectacular lake view. The terrace overlooking the lake is truly the heart of the home and gives this place enormous potential.Unfortunately, the house itself feels quite dated and cluttered. There are many objects and old pieces of furniture, and drawers are filled with miscellaneous items. You can potentially find almost anything you need, but everything is stored rather randomly and could benefit from decluttering and reorganization. We also never managed to find wine glasses.The biggest issue was cleanliness. The floors were very dusty. After sweeping, there was a significant amount of dust, and our socks quickly turned black. We found hairs in several places, including on blankets, and even found a hair on a towel after showering. This was unpleasant.The rooms and beds are quite small. The garden’s furniture is old and dirty, and there are no coffee tables anywhere, making it difficult to enjoy a coffee or drink while taking in the view. The neighbors were also quite noisy during the weekend.The owner seemed kind and called to check that everything was okay. However, I never received a response when I asked via WhatsApp where the wine glasses were, although I did receive a negative response to my request for a later checkout.Overall, this property has incredible potential. With much better cleaning, decluttering, updated furniture, and some renovation, it could truly be exceptional !

Thank you for your very detailed and thoughtful response. The fact that the house is vintage is a feature that many of our guests enjoy. It is a 1948 "camp" on the lake, with pine floors and paneling, and some period furniture. We have deliberately avoided making the place too modern. The issue with dust and sand is expected is a neighborhood on a dirt road, with sand and pine needles easily tracked in. We will consider adding a coffee table and wine glasses. The request for a late checkout was not approved because the next guests were coming in soon, later the same day. We appreciate your suggestions, and you are welcome back in the future.

Family fun

My husband, 6yr old and I enjoyed our 2 week stay here, the deck was great and enjoyed the fire pit and raft every day! Friendly owners who helped us find a lil extra parking for some families visiting for the day. We all loved the lake and hanging out on the dock. Memorable and relaxing stay, we definitely recommend! Wonderful Family Getaway

We had a wonderful family vacation at this waterfront cottage. Almost all of our time was spent in the water – swimming, floating, fishing, kayaking – it was perfect! The rail-trail is not far and we were able to ride our bikes quite a good distance. The cottage has everything you need – stove/oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, air conditioning. We also had access to the row boat and two double-kayaks. Sleeping arrangements were perfect for our family of 5 and we could even sleep 6 if we had to. The sunsets here can’t be beat and the canopy on the porch provided some nice shade for those hot summer days on the water. Everything was neat and clean and the cottage was cozy. Highly recommended for a nice getaway to the Lakes Region. We are already talking about our next trip back!

This circa 1948 cottage is our well-equipped summer home with modern appliances and vintage furniture. Most summers, we are there as much as possible. We especially enjoy the swimming and the sunsets.

Why they chose this property

The cottage is on a dirt road in an active neighborhood with a mix of seasonal and year-round homes. It is not far from the many area attractions. As children, we both spent summers swimming and boating on New Hampshire lakes, and we were lucky to find this place more than 25 years ago.

What makes this property unique

This is a rustic cottage from the late 1940’s with original pine woodwork. The property is directly on the lake, with a boat dock, a floating raft, and a good selection of water accessories. There is a vintage 16’ aluminum rowboat, and two tandem (two person) kayaks. If you bring your boat, you can moor it on the dock during your stay. From the deck, you have a west view across the lake for incredible sunsets. Eat on the 12’x24’ deck, the great room or the enclosed porch. Each room has a window air conditioner for your comfort, in case it gets hot. The hot water now comes from a twenty gallon heater (up from 10) under the kitchen sink (updated this summer). Showers are quick, especially if you are running the dishwasher or washing machine.
