We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We opened up the beach area this year by moving the canoe out of the way. The porch is great place to spread out in the evenings.

Hi, Thanks for your review. Given its positive nature, I was a little surprised you didn't give your visit a higher rating. If there is anything about your visit that was not up to your expectations, please let me know. Hope to see you next year!
Great vacation property! We loved being able to have a little beach as well as a dock to use. It was very nice to be able to use the grill for dinner and relax by a firepit. We've been coming here for years and enjoy this quiet end of the lake.

Hi Rose, We're glad that you had a good week. The beach is not big but we try to make the most of it each year by raking it at the beginning of the season and putting down some clean sand. Hope you come back next year!
Beautiful old camp with gorgeous views. Peaceful retreat, loved canoe and kayaks too! Great for all ages.

Johnna, We're glad you enjoyed your stay. The old fashioned, 1950s feel was compelling to us when we bought it. We've made many updates (and lots of painting of the bedrooms) this year and plan to continue making improvements this winter. Thanks for your comments.
Great property to unwind and relax. Located on a very quiet end of the lake on a no walk zone. Owner was very responsive, check in was super easy.

We are glad that you had a nice stay, Brian. When we were setting up the camp, we wanted an easy way for check in such as keyless entry (no need to go pick up the key).
My family enjoyed our stay July 29-Aug 4 2023. The cottage is cozy and well stocked. The screen porch was great at night and the fire pit facing the lake was perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at this quiet spot on Lake Winnisquam. We were 4 adults and 2 children & 1 dog. Loved the dock for our pontoon, the walk-in beach area for the kids, the fire pit area, screened porch, everything! Hope to go again next year!

Cabin had everything we needed for a couple of days visiting family in NB and using the campfire at night. Very peaceful and the lake is gorgeous this time of year. Host was responsive to questions over email.

Hannah, We're glad you had a good stay. Winter is great for enjoying the warm fire pit and looking out at the peaceful lake. there are a lot less people around and you can hear all of nature's sounds.
Great cabin at end of lake. Very quiet and restful. Plenty to do in surrounding towns with bad weather. Enjoyed stay.

Hi Donna, We're glad that you had a good visit. We like that it is only 5.8 miles to downtown Meredith which has shops, restaurants and ice cream which is great for a change of pace or on a rainy day.
The property location is hard to beat. We took advantage of the canoe and kayaks and loved the peacefulness of the no wake zone. We enjoyed playing board games on the large screened porch in the evening.

About the host
Hosted by Lyman Jackson
We love the lakes and mountains of the Lakes Region! I grew up in Laconia and have returned here every year with my family for the last 20 years. Our kids have grown up enjoying watersports and fun times with cousins on this lake during our annual vacations. We're now thrilled to have a place to share with our family and with you. Get away and enjoy the lake!
Why they chose this property
Lake Winnisquam is a quieter lake than Winnpesaukee. The north end of the lake is even more peaceful. Yet, you can motor down to the wide-open part of the lake to tube, water ski or wake board. Hanging out at the sand bar at the "Mosquito Bridge" is also fun if you want to play ball / frisbee in the waist deep water and socialize. Winnisquam Marine is located there with a wide range of power, pontoon and other boats for rent.
What makes this property unique
Lake Winnisquam is the third largest lake in NH. It is just 2 hours from the Boston area. While our spot is secluded, you are 20 minutes from the Tanger outlet stores in Tilton as well as Market Basket and Walmart. Hanaford's supermarket is 10 minutes away in downtown Meredith. Check out minigolf at Pirates Cover or head to Weirs Beach to visit Funspot, billed as the largest arcade in the world or head over to Kellerhaus for the best ice cream bar experience and homemade chocolates. Downtown Laconia is also undergoing a rebirth with the re-opening of the historic Colonial Theater (a performing arts center) and, a few miles from downtown, the restored Lakeport Opera House. In Gilford, you'll find Gunstock Ski Area and the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion featuring headline performers old and new.
