NIce property - plenty of room. Showing a little bit of age now but I'd stay there again. Yonder has been very helpful retrieving an item we left there.

Thank you for your review! We are very happy that you were pleased with your stay.
We loved our stay at Skyview. The house was spacious with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy time together as well as work or focus when needed. The kitchen is small but sufficient, and the house in general is in very good condition. The nearby park maintained by the HOA (with historical significance) is just up the road and is a fantastic place to walk to, watch sunrises or sunsets, or have a picnic.

Lucy, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your stay at Skyview. We're pleased to hear that you found the cabin nice overall. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the bed linens and the condition of the kitchen fan. We take cleanliness very seriously, and we will address these issues with our housekeeping team to ensure they are thoroughly addressed for future guests. Your input is invaluable to us as we strive to continually improve the experience for our guests. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for an even better stay, at this or any Yonder home!
The only complaint would be that the listing said 8 miles to TIEC and it was farther than that with an extreme drive up the mountain that caught me off guard. I was here working so have long days and driving up the mountain at night was a bit stressful . Otherwise it was an oasis with lots of room, views to die for, a great dining room table and games that we played every night. The most relaxing work week I have had in a long time dur to this house.

Jennifer, thanks for your review! We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Skyview. Driving in the mountains is always a trek to get used to, but you can't get a "sky view" without a little bit of a climb ;) Our apologies for any confusion on the distance to TIEC--we try to include approximate locations, but sometimes the estimate can be off. We hope you're doing well, and we welcome you back to this or any other Yonder home!
Our few nights’ stay at Skyview was a welcome break from the heat. The view from the end of the driveway is beautiful!
Despite confirming that a pack & play would be available, there wasn’t one in the house; the management company drove one up. The house is big with an interesting layout and had everything else that we needed. There were some cleanliness issues (dried, dead bugs, many dirty dishes, stove/oven were dirty) that I didn’t expect having paid the cleaning fee. The house is the *top* of White Oak Mountain - it’s a slow, winding drive to get up...really adds to the character and “get away” feeling!
We enjoyed our stay, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Mark, thank you for sharing your experience at Skyview. We're glad you enjoyed the stunning views and found the home well-equipped for your stay. We sincerely apologize for the oversight regarding the pack & play, but we’re glad our team could quickly deliver one for you. Cleanliness is a top priority, and we regret that some areas did not meet expectations— Yonder has a 100% Clean Guarantee however, we are not perfect and if the home is not up to these or your standards, we will do everything we can to fix the issues when given the opportunity. The mountain location does provide a true getaway feel, but we understand it may not be for everyone. We appreciate your feedback and are grateful you chose to stay with us :)
Nice cabin but smaller than looks in pictures. Needs some updating.
We had planned to go out on Saturday and Sunday in the local and surrounding areas to do activities mainly geared towards the children. After driving up what can only be described as a horrendous road no one wanted to go down again until we left. And in fact we left a day early because rain was forecast for Monday and no one wanted to attempt going down it in the rain. As there was only 1 TV in the entire 4 bedroom 2 living room cabin. Definitely not enough. Though it was ok we would never go back to it again because the road terrified almost everyone. Directions should include NOT going around (behind) the condominiums as that added over 2 more miles onto the drive and it was definitely even worse.

Carole, thank you for sharing your experience. We're glad you found Skyview enjoyable, but we’re sorry to hear that the road conditions impacted your stay. Mountain roads can be challenging, especially in certain weather conditions, and we understand how that might have affected your plans. We appreciate your feedback about the driving directions and will review them to ensure they are as clear as possible. While we aim to provide a relaxing retreat, we recognize that TV availability is a personal preference, and we’ll take your comments into consideration. We appreciate you staying with us and sharing your thoughts.
Beautiful view, needs some updating and nosy neighbor!
Skyview is a lovely cabin, spacious with beautiful views. We were a family of 10 over Thanksgiving, which involved a lot of cooking and the outdated kitchen made it challenging (old stove/oven and microwave from the 1990s!). One of the bedrooms has a pull-out couch that is extremely uncomfortable. DO NOT SLEEP ON IT!
When we arrived, it was 58 degrees in the house and we quickly discovered the heat is locked and requires a PIN to unlock. Guests have no control over the temperature--it's controlled by the owner's cell phone from afar and the highest temp they give guests is 68 degrees. We were traveling with three elderly family members (between the ages of 83-88) and they had to wear coats the majority of the time while in the house. If you want to be warm, bring your own space heater and many blankets (they only had one blanket in the entire house!). Beware of the camera on the front porch and be mindful of a neighbor who may be monitoring your every move, including # of cars parked in the driveway, # of dogs you bring, and false accusations of theft (we were accused and reported to the HOA of stealing a sign from the top of the Meadow because we were the only renters, so it had to be us! Never mind there were wind gusts of 20-30 mph while we were there!). This is a residential community which we were respectful of, but it is very clear they don't like Skyview being a rental property! Though the cabin is lovely, we will not return due to how we were treated.

Regarding the heating issue and lack of blankets, we understand how important comfort is, especially for elderly guests, and we regret any discomfort caused. We take guest feedback seriously and will address these concerns with the owner to ensure a more comfortable experience for future guests. Additionally, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the neighbor's monitoring and false accusations. We strive to create a welcoming and hospitable environment for all our guests, and we regret that this was not your experience. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again at any of our Yonder homes.
The drive up the mountain is amazing, with beautiful views. We saw deer numerous times and bear twice on the ride. There are a few very steep climbs and switchbacks, so be sure you have good brakes before you begin.
The property is set back from the edge, so do not expect to walk out on the deck and have an uninterrupted vista. The view is certainly there, but you have to walk out to the road for the long distance views. Also, don’t assume that there will be rocking chairs or comfortable seating waiting for you in the front porch. Sadly, when we visited, there were two dirty plastic chairs. That’s it. The porch is long and wide and could be amazing, but it needs furniture. The Adirondack furnishings in the pictures on a small back porch and are cable-locked into place.
The interior of the house was clean and comfortable. (Be aware that you are NOT allowed to build a fire in the fireplace. That was disappointing.) The beds are comfortable and we found bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths nicely arranged and waiting on top of each. Plenty of hot water in the showers . Cheap single-ply toilet paper in the bathrooms, but the home is on septic so I understand. The kitchen was well supplied and had everything we needed. There are very large windows in the rear den that have a very nice view, so we spent out time in there.
Did we enjoy our time on White Oak mountain? Yes. Would we rent this same property again? Maybe, but probably not.
