High-end architect villa 350 m2, splendid swimming pool (20x5m), private cinema

Located on the French Atlantic coast, in one of the oldest villages of the little island of Île de Ré (Sainte-Marie-De-Ré), the Clos des Pertuis is a luxury architect villa of 350 m2, boasting exceptional volumes for unforgettable holidays with family or friends. The villa has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, and sleeps 15 people (10 adults + 5 children maximum due to the bedrooms’ layout).

Decorated in the typical style of the island and bathed in light, the villa offers large modular volumes away from prying eyes, with seamless transitions from indoors to outdoors through a multitude of French windows opening onto a patio at the front, a terrace at the back, a garden or a magnificent pool. The villa has the largest residential pool on the island (100 m2), which is heated from mid-May to September between 24 and 26 degrees.

The house offers high-end equipment, including a soundproof private cinema, video games, wi-fi, large flat TVs, an elegant dressing room in the master bedroom, many en-suite bathrooms, a stone fireplace. End-of-stay cleaning, bed linens and towels hire are provided (at an extra cost) by the concierge. The beds will be made for you on arrival for a smooth and easy check-in. The concierge can also offer additional services on request, such bikes rental, baby sitting etc.

The nearest beach (Montamer Beach) is at the end of the street, 200m away, and the villa is 400m from away the village square (La Noue, Sainte-Marie-De-Ré), where a small daily market is held in season, as well as several shops, restaurants and services (bike rental). Thanks to its proximity to the bridge between the mainland and the island, the house is 20 mins from La Rochelle airport, and 30 mins from the train station.

Fantastic house with amazing pool

A really clean, stream-lined house with everything a family could want. Comfy beds and lots of bathrooms. The real high point is the long pool with water massage. The big sitting room was perfect for our extended family. Lovely, well maintained garden. Really hope to return.

I believe there's been an IT issue with the title of your review, as the text in bold does not seem to reflect your overall experience, and instead, only pulls out the negative points. Besides, there is no price to make up the beds, there are made up for you prior to arrival FOR FREE by the concierge, it is a complementary service. The 20 euros fee is to hire the bed linens and all towels for your stay, not to make the beds. If that's not too much to ask, could you please update the title of your review to ensure that it reflects your overall experience, and perhaps insert the improvement points in the body text of your review, instead of the main header? Thank you.

Truly exceptional villa

Villa was as described and photographed. It's huge and beautifully designed and appointed. It accommodated our family of 3 young children easily, giving the kids loads of room. Bedroom configurations worked well. The garden is really beautiful and the location is great, just minutes from the lovely village square with a regular market, boulangerie/patisserie, several wine shops, 3 restaurants and several bike hire shops. The beautiful La Flotte is an easy bike ride away with its extensive restaurants. Sainte Martin de Ré is a little further but also within easy reach. The pool was heated but, at 26 degress, felt a little cold for us but is in line with European standards. Marianne the owner is very warm and gracious and was a pleasure to deal with. Cath, from the managing agent, was also excellent, being very responsive and helpful. We'd highly recommend and had a wonderful holiday.

Nous avons loué la maison pour la seconde fois et nous avons apprécié l'espace de vie et l'organisation de la maison qui permet a chacun d'avoir son indépendance. La maison est très agréable et bien équipée. Nous avons bénéficier d'une chaise haute et d'un lit parapluie. L'accueil et le départ sont simplifiés et efficaces. Un petit bémol car nous avons trouvé une légère dégradation sur la propreté (poubelle du garage non vidée avec une forte odeur de poisson, toiles d araignées dans les chambres et traces de gras sur les placards de la cuisine), le seul point à améliorer. Merci pour le séjour.

Nous ferons remonter votre point concernant la propreté et la gestion des poubelles à la société de conciergerie qui s’occupe du ménage afin que celà soit rectifié immédiatement. C’est une grande maison dans laquelle les femmes de ménage peuvent oublier une toile d’araignée, mais celà n’est pas une excuse et nous prenons la propreté très sérieusement. Villa très adaptée à un regroupement familial. Nous étions 14. Villa spacieuse, luxueuse, permettant de profiter d’un séjour nombreux sans aucun problème. Période hivernale. Nous n’avons pas profité de la piscine ni du jardin.

Je n'ai absolument rien à redire quant à la qualité des prestations de cette maison. Nous avons passé un superbe séjour. La maison correspond parfaitement à la description et elle est vraiment très bien équipée. La localisation est idéale : à coté du bourg ou se trouvent tous les commerces (même la location de vélos) et à quelques pas de la plage. Arrivée et départ : RAS MERCI !

Idéal pour séjour entre amis

En alternative au ski, nous nous sommes rabattus sur l'ile de Ré avec 2 couples d'amis et leurs enfants. La villa est idéale pour ce type de séjour, vaste salon salle à manger, patios et entrée pour les vélos (13 !). Le home cinéma a ravi les enfants et le canapé les parents pour les apéros ;-) La localisation n'est pas idéale pour les belles plages, mais hors période estivale les déplacements et parkings sont faciles.

Merci pour votre commentaire. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez passé un bon séjour et que la maison ait plu aux petits et aux grands ! La plage la plus proche est Montamer, à 7 mins à pied : elle est surveillée l’été, et présente l’intérêt d’être moins fréquentée que d’autres plages plus connues en haute saison. La plage de Gros-Jonc, régulièrement votée parmi les plus belles de l’île, est à 6km, accessible à vélo depuis la maison en 20 mins (ou 9 mins en voiture).
