Welcome to "Parr"adise affectionately named after the owners of this beauty. This 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home sits on a secluded point of land over an acre in size on the Yeopim Creek adjacent to the Albemarle Sound and directly across from Albemarle Plantation. With 180 degrees of waterviews, Parradise has incredible sunrises and sunsets, brackish water that warms early in the year allowing all types of watersports, excellent fishing and crabbing. Relax on the dock, in the warm water or under the covered deck. The home has everything you need for a relaxing time away with friends and family. Bring your boat or jet skis as there is a ramp nearby and they can be tied to our dock. Stairs lead you to a sandy bottom sliver of beach where you can launch our 2 kayaks or 2 paddle boards. Sunfish sailboat and wind surfer available for experienced sailors only who know how to set up and take down appropriately. Crab or fish directly from the dock. Crab pot and fishing poles available, just bring bait! Toys galore, including ping-pong tables, badminton, cornhole boards, basketball hoop. We have the perfect balance allowing you to play hard and relax as much as desired.

Parradise has room for large groups in the 3200+ square feet, including two master bedrooms. There is a downstairs master bedroom with King bed and ensuite bathroom with tiled shower. TV in master. Relax in the screened porch directly off of this master BR. Upstairs you will find an Upstairs Master Bedroom with Queen bed and ensuite bathroom with tiled shower. TV in master. Bedroom 3 has two Queen beds. Bedroom 4 has a Queen Bed. Bedroom 5 has 3 twins. Hallway full sized bathroom with tub/shower combo. There is also an outdoor shower enclosure with hot water. This home has a tankless water heater, so you never run out of hot water.

The fully stocked kitchen seats 8 at the table with center lazy-susan makes access for family style meals easy. Additional seating for 4 at the bar. Large open floor plan makes cooking and entertaining a breeze. Gas stove with downdraft, microwave, toaster oven, oven, coffee maker, blender, gas grill with gas line--lots of options for cooking ease.

Family room has a large sectional sofa and a Lazy Boy recliner. Enjoy your favorite shows on the " TV with Roku/You Tube TV. There is also Chromecast for you to stream from your personal Hulu or Netflix accounts. Gas fireplace with easy on/off switch for wintertime usage. Access the screened porch off the family room to enjoy quiet time.
Sonos music system for you to stream music inside or outside of house.

After a day on the water, come inside and play a game of pool or pinball. We have a card/poker table with a hard top to use for puzzles. We offer an outside hammock and plenty of chairs and a swing to relax in on the covered deck so enjoy the outdoors rain or shine. We also have a wood burning fire pit with a small amount of starter wood. Bring more if desired.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay

Had an early 60th BDay celebration with a small group of friends and we were all so very pleased with this property. Several have stayed in other short term rentals and said by far this was the cleanest, most accurately described. It is well equipped for fun with games, books, pool table, paddle boards, kayaks, floats… so many amenities provided that we weren’t even expecting to ensure guests have a great stay. We brought a boat which really added to our ability to add fun water recreation. The views from the porch and several rooms are fantastic!! The host was so easy to work with. After a bad lightening storm took out the internet overnight, she let me know before we even noticed. Really just a top notch experience for our long weekend away. Will be back, for sure!

Great Stay - Exactly as Advertised

The property is exactly as advertised. We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing time whether we were enjoying the outdoor waterfront views, gathering our family around the spacious dining room table, or shooting the breeze around the pool table. The owner was couteous and responsive. I highly recommend this property.

Hole in One!

Great house, outstanding location. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. We played basketball, had a bonfire, went kayaking, paddleboarding and fishing. We played pool, watched a hockey game, sat on the deck and chilled. Beautiful views, comfortable beds, private location for a waterfront home.

The Wedding Trip

The house and grounds are amazing. Plenty of room for large groups. The boat dock is a beautiful place to enjoy the sun rises and sun sets. The Kayaks were a huge plus for our group. Simply heaven on earth. 5 stars straight across and especially for our host. Will rent again with our group ❤️❤️

perfect for our family

We absolutely loved this place!! The home was beautiful and clean and was a wonderful sanctuary from the heat. Our kids and grandkids hung out in the water the majority of the time we were there - swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding, etc. They loved fishing and crabbing off the dock, too. And Tracey was so, so helpful and responsive when we needed her! It really was a perfect little slice of paradise for our family.

Another great stay at Parradise!

Truly enjoyed the beautiful property for a second year! Love the size and layout of the house and the warm water of the sound. Also love the quiet area…not a lot of tourists or boat traffic. The fire pit addition was very nice, enjoyed it on the cooler nights. The house is fantastically equipped with everything for a nice vacation! Also, the property owner is very responsive for questions that arose. We had a great stay! 😊

Winter getaway

The house is amazing and the views from every window are wonderful. Tons of room for our small group to spread out. We came for a post-Christmas getaway, and although it was too cold to enjoy the water, we loved the fireplace. An unexpected treat was the pool table in a beautiful room with a water view. We played pool every night. Be aware that the house is secluded, but if you want peace and quiet, it's perfect. We went into Edenton for dinner one night and cooked the rest of the time. Hope to come back in warmer weather.

A true gift

Absolutely stunning home with exceptional amenities and views. Our family kept commenting on how grateful they were and what a special place we had found. We spent many hours reading, talking, sipping coffee (or wine) on the porch rockers and swing. Kayaking was fabulous. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook each meal including spices and other condiments. While we had planned to visit the Outer Banks none of us wanted to leave this quiet piece of paradise. Thank you for sharing this most beautiful place.

Incredible place to spend with your loved ones

We booked this place as a pit stop to our trip to Myrtle Beach. Turns out to be a surprise from my son proposing to his girlfriend. The home is perfect, beautiful setting, has all the amenities you need. The owners are so responsive and accommodating. The kids loved the kayaking, paddle boarding, ping pong, pool table and of course the pin ball machine! Fully stocked kitchen for my tomahawk steak dinner. My kids will definitely come back hopefully they will invite their parents:). Thank you to the Parrs for an incredible experience. BTW get up early and catch some fish!!

WOW!!!

My family and I had an amazing time. First, the house is fantastic. The pictures dont do it justice. Everything was just perfect. It's basically a resort. You can fish, swim, crab, kayak, paddle board, play ping pong, billiards, or basketball and more and never have to set foot off property. The views from the house are spectacular. On day 2 of our stay, the kids were already asking when we could come back. A return trip or 2 is definitely in the future. Check in is easy, and the host was very responsive with some questions I had about some things in the area. If you are contemplating staying here, do it, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing Stay 10/10!!

My family and I had the most remarkable stay in this beautiful home. Other reviewers are right- the photos simply don’t do it justice! The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to cook meals at home, and the dining area is large enough to accommodate a big family. We seated 8 very comfortably around the dining room table and popped the two kids at the breakfast bar (which can easily seat 4). The bedrooms are spacious and the beds comfortable, and plenty of bathrooms to give everyone the space and privacy they need. There’s a gaming table, a comfortable living room, a pool table, and every outdoor game you can think of. It’s the perfect place to detach and unwind and spend quality time with family and friends. There is also a lot of nature to take in- the water, sunrise & sunset, turtles, bunnies, deer, birds, etc. So much relaxation and pure enjoyment. The host Tracey is amazing, super responsive, and a gem for sharing this beautiful home with us. The home is also located within reasonable driving distance to the beaches (OBX or Virginia Beach) but honestly given everything else to do right at the house, there’s not much need to travel too far! Pro tip: the dock on the property is a beautiful place for a marriage proposal! My daughter’s BF proposed to her on our trip, and I’ve since learned that this was not the first proposal in this spot! If you are looking for a romantic setting to propose combined with family and friends, look no further!

Great location for a multi-family getaway

We had an incredible stay at this VRBO! The location was absolutely ideal—peaceful, scenic, and just steps from the water. The property itself is spacious and thoughtfully laid out, making it perfect for multiple families traveling together. Everyone had room to spread out, relax, and enjoy their own space while still feeling connected.What really stood out was how generous and well-prepared the host was. They provided an amazing array of water gear—lifejackets, kayaks, and plenty of other fun items to enjoy the lake. Honestly, there was more to do than we could fit into a week! It felt like every day brought a new adventure, and the kids (and adults!) were never bored.This home is clearly cared for with love and attention to detail. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already dreaming about our next visit. Highly recommend for families looking to make lasting memories together!

The property was impressive and definitely looked even more spacious and luxurious in person than in the photos. We were pleasantly surprised. The layout of the home made for ample space to gather as a family and retreat to private areas for less chaotic downtime. The internet was quite fast, no problems there.

Fishing Getaway

This was our second long weekend stay at Parradise. Everything about our stay was incredible. Comms from the property owners was incredible. They were so informative and prompt when replying. The house was immaculate with all of the amenities! Will be back again next year!

Perfect for our family.

The size and location was perfect for our family. We needed a large place for family to stay for my son‘s wedding. The master bedroom on the main floor was perfect for my mother-in-law who cannot do stairs. I would highly recommend the space for family gatherings.

Amazing weekend on the Albemarle Sound!

We had a wonderful family weekend at the Parr's waterfront home! We kayaked, made s'mores, played ping-pong and basketball and ladders in the driveway, and all around had an amazing time. The house was beautiful and spacious, a perfect setting for time together. Hope to be back again!

After searching for a place to share with our family and friends, we built this house in 2005 spending countless weekends and vacation weeks here at our home away in Hertford, NC enjoying the amazing surroundings. We discovered early that this was a special place and began calling it Parradise (spelling is purposeful, see our family name). Set on a point of land with 180 degrees of water views Parradise has incredible sunrises and sunsets, brackish waters that warm early in the year allowed all types of watersports, excellent fishing and crabbing. (Please see our photos). Toys galore will leave you with never a moment that there is not something to do, if you want. You will find a perfect balance here allowing you to play hard and relax as much as you desire.
