Serenity is a home that provides beautiful views of the Albemarle sound in a private setting. The home is second row waterfront. Water access is directly in front of the home and there is a boat ramp in the neighborhood. The water is usually 4-5 feet deep, depending on the wind, and is a sandy bottom. Sit in a rocking chair and enjoy the views from the porch, walk to the water for a swim, or take a drive to several nearby towns including historical Edenton and the Outer Banks. This is the perfect home to relax.

Elizabeth City – 40 minutes

We do not allow pets in the house or on the property. We allow up to 8 people on the property but no more than 8, regardless of whether or not they're spending the night.

The listing does not do this place justice. The home was so much more than what we expected. The kitchen was the most well stocked of any vacation rental I've stayed in. We loved it so mych that were returning in November.

The property was exactly as pictured. It was perfect. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful, came over to make sure everything was as anticipated, and gave some fishing advice. The most restful and stress-free weekend we've had in a long time. Would highly recommend this property!!

Serenity lives up to it’s name. This house is beautiful and was the perfect choice for our stay. We loved the views and how peaceful it was. Edenton is a quaint little town with much to offer. My advice however is to check the local restaurant hours during your planning. Thank you for sharing Serenity with us!

Extended stay

We decided at the last moment to stay another day in this beautiful area. Found the PERFECT spot! House was huge. Bright and clean. Smelled great. Fully stocked kitchen. Activities, games and ping pong table. Each room had a bathroom and plenty of towels and was clothes. I can't even began to tell you about the huge rocking chair porch... picturistic view of the sound. Outdoor tablesetting of dining and morning coffee....or glass of wine watching the sun set. Dream vacation. Family weekend getaway. Girlfriends retreat. You won't be disappointed!! We are already planning to stay again soon!! Thank you Kari and Chris!!

Wonderful Accommodations!

We booked our stay for July 31st - August 4th, 2025. My sister arrived early and asked the host if she could enter the property prior to regular check-in. The house was not locked as the host lives across the street, so check-in was a breeze. The host responded promptly with a "yes." The house was just as pictured online and was very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots and pans, cooking utensils, glassware, plates, bowls, and silverware. There was plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. There was both a regular "Mr. Coffee" type coffee maker and a Keurig and supplies for both. There were also a few food items; staples such as flour, sugar, syrup, salt, pepper, and some other spices. The neighborhood was very quiet, and we had a beautiful view of the Ablemarle Sound. We really enjoyed sitting out on the front porch in the morning having coffee, and the evening having an adult beverage. There were minimal duties for checking out (take out trash, run dishwasher, put all dirty towels in bathroom), so it didn't take much time at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely book again!

A great house with ample room for all

We stayed for 3 nights in December. There were 5 of us, adults and 3 older teen boys. We had plenty of room. The house was equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen utensils, cookware and dishes were abundant which has not always been our experience in other homes. The home and property are spacious and quiet, It was a nice experience.

My husband was born and raised on the Albemarle sound. I moved here after I graduated from college and never left. We love this area. We love everything outdoors and we love the water.

Why they chose this property

This house is very special. My mother always loved the water so my dad built this second home for her so she could sit in a rocking chair on the porch and enjoy the beautiful views of the Albemarle sound. The house was finished in January 2012 and sadly she passed away in July. My mom named the house Serenity. This was going to be her get away. Now it will be a get away for many to enjoy and she would love that!

All doors are wheelchair accessible though there is not ramp into the house.
