A lovely place in a fabulous location

A great beach house with plenty of space for there kids and a dog. Location is beachfront and perfect to take in all of Omaha beach. Some great pics and books in the house as well of D-day etc. Would definitely book again

Parking was secure. wi-fi worked well. The most amazing view. Spacious and secure garden. Our dogs have never looked happier. Everything you need was in the house. fantastic location for beach walks and amenities. Such a wonderful place. The house is a little dated, but does not impact your stay. We can't wait to visit again.

beautiful Finnhus directly on the beach

Simple little house, but everything you need for a family holiday is there. The hosts are very friendly and have good tips for your holiday, even if they can't be there in person. And the location is fantastic. Just cross the street and you're on the beach. And with the bed linen package you can arrive and relax straight away.

Incredible location, great host

We were two history buffs who stayed for two nights. Great experience! House was exactly as advertised and host was great to work with. The location in the middle of the Omaha landing beach was amazing. To climb the heights behind the house and walk the beach at dawn and imagine what happened there was incredible. House definitely set up for families (and we'll set up), but could work for a pair of couples. Great experience!

The best house ever

The hosts are wonderful. The rooms are spacious. The only surprise was the steps to the apartment. Once in the apartment, everything this is on one level. The view of the English Channel is spectacular. Kitchen facilities excellent. I did need help working the coffee maker. The washing machine is new. You are very close to Omaha Beach

Incredible Location

If you want a location that captures "Omaha Beach on DDay", this is it. Located along Dog sector of Omaha Beach (the US military sector during WWII), the house allows one to stay right in the middle of where much of the DDay action occurred. One only has to close their eyes and imagine the troops coming ashore right in front of the house, which presents a beautiful vista of Omaha Beach from the simple but comfortable living room. The cotttage is simple but comfortable and is perfectly situated for history buffs who want to explore the beaches and towns from Normandy's WWII history. For all others, this quaint little beach cottage offers a wonderful, cozy respite on a quiet, beautiful stretch of beach in Vierville-Sur-Mer.

Excellent location, beautiful view.. plan to do your own cleaning afterwards.

Good property, excellent view ! After weeks of travel was planning to use wash machine which was broken and only told 2 hrs before arrival. The hot water pot was broken, only given 5 coffee pods for 5 people on 2 night stay. The clincher was you have to pay extra for sheets and towels( see in fine print) ANd have to strip beds, clean dishes, put away, and take out trash before leaving. Very unusual but we left it cleaner than we found it . (Big crumbs on table chairs. )The overall review is good bc of location and view .

Thank you to Teri for this feedback, which will help us improve. - We're sorry the washing machine broke down after 12 years of operation. Teri was informed the day the problem was discovered. - We would have replaced the kettle immediately if Teri had informed us (NB: after checking, the kettle works fine :-) - We provide consumables for the start of the stay. It's up to the guest to stock up on supplies as needed (grocery store at the top of the village). - As stated in the ad, "we allow our guests to bring their own sheets and towels or rent them." Top locatie

Mooi huis met fantastisch uitzicht op de zee vanuit de ruime woonkamer/keuken. Het terras achter is ook prima met zelfs een overkapping. Ideaal voor onze hondjes met het strand aan de overkant van de straat. Het Normandy American Cemetery en musea zijn dichtbij. Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad.

Perfect Holidays

Traumhaft schöner Aufenthalt mit direkter Strandlage (nur durch eine Strasse getrennt) zum Omaha Beach. Einer der schönsten Strände. Check in hat perfekt funktioniert. Haus hat alles für den Aufenthalt geboten. Mit Terrasse für die Abendstunden.

3 jours superbes dans un gite face a la mer

Gite conforme a nos attentes, juste la rue a traverser et on se retrouve sur une plage immense a maree basse. Gite bien aménagé ,silencieux, un salon lumineux avec vue magnifique sur la mer ,avec un grand jardin non clos et un endroit pour garer la voiture.les proprietaires vous conseillent sur la region .parfait.
