We enjoyed our stay at The Tag house. It is fully stcoked with everything you need plus extra! It is very cozy and welcoming, smells good and very clean. Love the layout of this house. We love that it is right on the river too!

Homey Hideaway in Matagorda Bay

This place is so cute! The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the space was well-stocked. The kids loved the bunks, which made it even more fun for them. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, overlooking the Texas Colorado River as it meets Matagorda Bay. It added a wonderfully serene touch. The location was perfect, with quick and easy access to town. The host was very responsive and even offered an early check-in, which was such a nice touch.

Wonderful place on the Colorado

Lovely property with well thought-out decor (beachy modern farmhouse). Extremely comfortable beds and great shower. Well-stocked kitchen and nice living area with puzzles and games for the kids. We enjoyed our time very much!

Tag House Review

This house continues to be our favorite place to stay while visiting Matagorda. Location, cleanliness, and owner are the reasons for repeat rental at the “Tag House”. Great place for families and you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful cozy getaway ☀️

We have a great vacation! The house is beautiful and has everything you need! Unfortunately my youngest got sick however the house was so cozy and warm that we didn’t mind it.

This was a nice house in a great location, easy driving distance to an amazing beach. The owner was very nice and the house was clean and kitchen had everything we needed. If we plan to visit the area again we would consider renting this house again if it was available.

We really enjoyed our week long stay at The Tag house. The house was very comfortable, good cozy sofas and beds which is needed after long days on the beach. We also enjoyed being on the river so we could fish each night and enjoy wildlife viewing. We really enjoyed our time!

Family fun

Our 2nd time staying at the Tag House and we enjoyed every minute of it! We slayed the red fish this trip and caught a 30 pound 35” black drum! We are looking forward to our next trip back!

We started coming to Matagorda in 2013 and fell in love it. We're big into fishing so we just got hooked. We are currently full time residents in Waller and any opportunity found ourselves trying to go to Matagorda as often as possible, so.... it only made sense that we would eventually purchase here.

Dave was born and raised in Victoria and is a proud 1994 Aggie graduate. Received his engineering degree and continued to get Masters in Welding Engineering at Ohio State. We currently raise Brangus cows here in Waller and Victoria.

We are also GRANDparents to the most amazing 3 yr. old boy, Matson. Though he currently has moved to Colorado, Nonnie rescues him from the snow in exchange for the sand.
