About this property

Naples the view from Vesuvius 1

Old dependance in the grounds of the owners' house.
Ground floor: living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom.
First floor: two bedrooms and a loft with a sofa bed.
Roof terrace with table, pool and tennis court
The only limitation to the use of the swimming pool is on weekends in June and July reserved for our family

The cottage is far from the road leading to Vesuvius and you cannot hear the noise of the cars. The countryside area offers tranquility and at the same time proximity to the most important archaeological sites.
In the area there are numerous restaurants and pizzerias, while the nearest shops are in the town about 3 km away.

It's certainly more convenient to have your own car, although we are available for any problem. There is a single bus (Monday-Friday) that stops in front of the gate of the property and allows you to reach the Circumvesuviana train which is about 3 km away. This local train connects Naples to Pompeii and Sorrento. From Sorrento by bus you can reach the Amalfi Coast and by ferry the island of Capri.

Wonderful host, fabulous location!

Enrica was an outstanding host, full of warmth and always happy to advise, which added considerably to our enjoyment. The cottage is characterful and well-equipped, and the grounds with their fruit trees were fun to wander in. The view, as others have said, is unique. We saw gorgeous sunsets when we went in Feb/March. The location is perfect for visiting archeological sites Herculaneum, Pompeii, Paestum and of course going up Mt Vesuvius. We rented a car, which enabled us to get the most out of our visit, but probably best if you’re an experienced driver. Local foods not to miss are of course pizza, gelato and the fabulous pastry shops! Overall, we couldn’t fault this place, it’s an absolute gem. Thank you to Enrica and family. x

Wonderful home for a base in the Naples area

We loved our stay in Ercolano! The house is lovely and rustic, and feels truly Italian. There is a great patio to enjoy the view of Naples and the coast. It was too cold for the swimming pool, unfortunately. Enrica was a lovely host, and welcomed us with fresh eggs, tangerines from her trees, and a Nutella cake. She was great to deal with and her English is very good. She helped us with local recommendations, and has touring information available in the house. One of our best meals in Italy was at the fish restaurant she recommended, La Voce del Mare in Torre del Grecco. We discovered an excellent gelato place close to it, Giuraf (Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 19). From the property, we drove to a train station for our day in Naples, which was very easy. We spent a day climbing Vesuvius and visiting Pompeii. And a day visiting Capri and the Amalfi coast. The property is a great location for exploring the area. I would certainly recommend this property!

Traumhafte Lage

Wir waren jetzt 10 Tage in Ercolano und hatten den schönsten Ausblick über den Golf von Neapel. Der Blick ist in Wahrheit noch schöner. Tolles großes Grundstück. Die Vermieter wohnen im Haupthaus und zusätzlich gibt es 3 kleinere Ferienhäuser. Der Pool ist riesig und vor allen Dingen unsere Jungs hatten Riesenspaß mit dem Sprungturm. Mit unserem Mietwagen konnten wir Neapel, Vesuv, etc. alles schnell erreichen. Das Haus ist einfach und nach italienischen Flair eingerichtet. Das einzige was toll gewesen wäre…. Eine Spülmaschine. Alle auf dem Anwesen waren sehr nett und freundlich. Der Hund „Gero“, ein Schäferhund ist so lieb und erfreute sich an unseren Kindern. Kleiner Reisetipp: mit dem Auto die Küste einmal rum von Sorrent, Positano nach Amalfi. Abends in die Straßen von Neapel. Pompeji unbedingt besuchen. Sehr enttäuscht waren wir von der Insel Capri… absolute Abzocke. Mega teuer und alles voll mit Touristen. Ein toller Urlaub, an den wir noch lange denken werden.

un endroit magnifique avec une vue incroyable sur la baie de Naples.

Propriété idéalement située, au milieu de la baie de Naples, proche de tout, mais au calme, dans un grand jardin avec une magnifique piscine. Petit bémol, l'ameublement est assez spartiate et l'ensemble de la maison pourrait être rafraîchi. Le wc dans la salle de douche, ce n'est vraiment pas pratique.

Heerlijk verblijf

Dit onderkomen ligt prachtig tegen de Vesuvius aan en geeft zo een waanzinnig uitzicht op zee en Napels. Zeker in de avond geweldig! Voldoende leuke eetgelegenheden in de buurt en de accommodatie is van alle gemakken voorzien. Warme ontvangst met koude fles wijn, lieve hond en heerlijk in alle rust. Zwembad door de kids er gewaardeerd, zeker de duikplank.

Panoramic views and large pool

The rustic style villa blends beautifully with its surroundings. There are two other villas and the large house of the hosts on the estate which covers around four (my estimate) acres on the mountain side and is fully secure with entrance via an electronic gate. Ample shaded parking right next to the villa. Great location for Vesuvius, Pompeii, Naples and Herculaneum. Hosts very friendly and accommodating. Kitchen well equipped with cooking essentials, fresh coffee and welcome bottle of wine provided. Pool has a diving board and is 2-3 meters deep but also has a large shallow section at the opposite end where children (and adults) can stand. The owners dog roams the grounds but is very docile - he seems to enjoy being around people but is in no way intrusive. Within the grounds are various conifers, fruit and olive trees and cacti which give shade and character. Bedrooms in our villa were accessed by a tight spiral staircase, suitable only for guests with good mobility, especially with toilet on the ground floor. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms were easily enough to keep us cool and comfortable even in August. Our family with children aged 9 and 13 loved it here and would definitely recommend it.

Hier stimmt wirklich alles, aber die Lage und der Blick über die Bucht von Neapel sind schon etwas ganz besonderes. Wir haben den Pool ausgiebig genossen und die Teenager-Jungs haben auch Tennis gespielt. Das Haus ist einfach, aber es ist alles Nötige vorhanden. Kühlschrank und Tiefkühler sind groß. Gegenüber haben wir in zwei Restaurants gut zu Abend essen können. Vielen Dank an die sehr gastfreundliche Enrica!

Maison authentique dans un cadre magnifique avec une vue à couper le souffle sur toute la baie de Naples depuis les hauteurs du Vésuve. Elle est également idéalement située à proximité de tous les centres d intérêts de la région. La piscine est superbe et le parc de la propriété très agréable. Toller Ausgangspunkt für alle Aktivitäten dieser Region

Wir waren als Familie 10 Tage hier, fühlten uns sehr wohl bei Enrica. Man hat einen traumhaften Blick zum Meer, Neapel und Capri, einen riesigen Pool und einen einfachen Tennisplatz. Die Einrichtung ist einfach, zweckmäßig, man sollte den älteren Charme mögen. Toll ist der eigene Holzpizzaofen, der mehrmals von uns genutzt wurde!! Man sollte Hunde mögen, wenn man hier ist und sich auch nicht an nächtlichem Hundegebell stören. Einziger Abstrich waren für uns das durchgelegene Doppelbett. Gerne wieder!

Kleines Paradies am Hang des Vesuvs

Auf dem parkähnlichen Grundstück steht das Ferienhaus mit phantastischem Blick auf Neapel und den Golf. Wer mag, kann den üppigen Pool und den Tennisplatz nutzen. Überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit (und dabei durchaus zurückhaltend) sind die Eigentümer, die in der nahestehenden Villa zu Hause sind. Komplettiert wird das angenehme Bild durch den ebenso gut erzogenen wie spielfreudigen Deutschen Schäferhund, der sich ebenfalls rührend um „seine“ Gäste kümmert. Wer abends gern eine gute Pizza oder ein typisches Nudelgericht essen und einen leckeren Hauswein genießen möchte, kann gleich schräg gegenüber des Straßentores fündig werden. Kurz und gut - man findet hier einen prima Ausgangspunkt für alle Aktivitäten in der Region Neapel!

Well situated, charming property with stunning views

Basing yourself at this wonderful property provides access to popular tourist sites within short drives as well as one of the most incredible views you will ever have the pleasure of experiencing. Our host and her entire family were welcoming, accessible and supportive of us experiencing this region of Italy to the full. We were also gifted fresh figs grown on the property! The property itself is charming but achieves it's wow factor through the view from the patio as well as the large pool. The nearby restaurants and bars (easy walking distance) provide a wonderful range of traditional dishes using regional foods and wines. Highly recommended stay

Amazing location, great host!!

Stunning location, easy to get to and a dream vacation! Enrica was an amazing host and helped us settle in quickly with a lovely cake and some fridge basics on our arrival. All the sights you want to see, Naples, Pompei and the Amalfi Coast are just a short drive away! Mount Vesuvius is also on your doorstep and if you didn’t even want to move away from the pool side, you wouldn’t be disappointed, the view over the bay of Naples and the vista to Capri is to die for!

Excellent, a rustic retreat delight, in a beautiful site with amazing views over the Gulf of Naples.

The house had everything we needed for a short break. And the children loved the beautiful swimming pool. We did not have time to use the Tennis court. Enrica could not have been more helpful, and her advice was superb. We will go back.

Ein grosses Dankeschön an Enrica, die uns in die Künste des Pizzabackens im Holz-Pizzaofen einweihte. Die Besuche der verspielten Hunde haben wir alle geschätzt. Nur für Hundeliebhaber

Das Chalet hat eine wunderbare Aussicht auf den Golf von Neapel und ist sehr gut zu den Ausgrabungsstätten und dem Vesuv gelegen. Allerdings gibt es mehrere Hunde, die frei auf dem Gelände herumlaufen. Vor allem ein großer Hund besuchte uns immer wieder, um mit unserer 4-jährigen Tochter zu spielen. Da sie Angst vor dem Hund hatte und auch wir ihn kaum auf Abstand halten konnten, baten wir die Besitzerin mehrfach, den Hund fernzuhalten. Zwar versprach sie stets, den Hund vom Chalet fernzuhalten, doch kam er weiterhin. Das Chalet eignet sich aus unserer Sicht nur für Leute, die Hunde mögen.

12th August 2017 - A perfect week in a beautiful setting.

We have just come back from one of the best holidays we have had. This home is set on the edge of Mount Vesuvius looking out to Capri. We did not want the stress of renting a car and driving on the unfamiliar Italian roads. The owner, Enrica and Stefano and family happily drove us to and from the airport as well as to the nearest train station (Circumvesuviana) that takes you to all the top sightseeing destinations. Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples and Sorrento were all easy to get to using this train service. Enrica also drove us to nearby Vesuvius which is well worth the trip with stunning views. The house is beautiful with an amazing pool. We were greeted with a delicious chocolate cake and drinks in the fridge. Their dog Gherrro became part of our family and played happily with us all. The Pizza Restaurant opposite was excellent and very reasonably priced. Thank you Enrica and all your family for your hospitality and kindness, we would definitely love to come back again. Wonderful property with amazing views

The cottage is very picturesque and was prepared and well equipped, for either a stay-at-home holiday, or day trips out and a place to lay your head. It is set on large grounds, which my daughters loved exploring. The pool was a favourite, as was the tennis courts (and Ghero, our visitor morning or evening). We managed to travel into Serento, Pompei and Ercolano with ease. As well as take a trip up Vesuvius. We would most defiantly choose to stay here again, if we visited this part of Italy again. oasis in between the busy suburban Napels area

The house is wonderfully located in a big park. The friendly owners live close, but leave you privacy. From the terraces you have a wonderful view on the Napels bay which is very impressive. All big attractions like Pompei, Hercolaneum the Vesuvius are within a 30 minutes drive. And on returning from the busy sites and cities around full of cars and people you can enjoy the quietness of the house and park. We really enjoyed it staying here for a week.

Wunderbares Quartier

Wir verbrachten 6 wunderbare Tage bei einer ausgesprochen gastfreundlichen Vermieterin. Das Areal bietet für Kinder viel Auslauf und Betätigungsmöglichkeiten. Zwei Hunde gehören mit zum Anwesen, verspielt und kinderlieb. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist ideal zum Erkunden von Neapel und Umgebung. Mit dem Auto waren wir in 25min am Parkplatz/Parkhaus der U-Bahn Garibaldi. Der Blick auf Neapel und den Golf ist phantastisch und dazu noch absolute Ruhe. Danke Enrica!!!

Urlaub bei Enrica September 2016

Ein Traumurlaub in Sichtweite von Napoli, Pompeji, Ercolano, dem Vesuv und dem Meer. Haus (Wohnung), Schwimmbad, Garten - sauber, grosszügig und praktisch - alles vorhanden, was wir uns von einer Ferienwohnung wünschen können. Die kompetente und herzliche Betreuung von Enrica machte unseren Urlaub perfekt. Wir empfehlen diese Wohnung gerne mit voller Überzeugung weiter.

Gastfreundlich - viel Platz - toller Blick

Wir waren im März mit drei Kindern (6-9) in diesem Ferienhaus, das sich auf dem Grundstück der Vermieter befindet. Der Erholungsfaktor auf dem großen Grundstück ist hoch. Es gibt einen Pool (März noch kalt, aber es gibt Kinder, die das nicht schreckt), einen Tennisplatz (Güte kann ich nicht beurteilen) und einen Fußballplatz, der auch prompt für die Kinder frisch hergerichtet wurde. Das Domizil eignet sich durch seine Lage hervorragend, um die Umgebung zu erkunden (Vesuv, Pompeji, Capri, Sorrent, Pozzuoli und natürlich Napoli!). Trotzdem ist es ruhig und erholsam. Die Gastgeberin Enrica ist sehr freundlich und stets hilfsbereit, ihr Hund Leila ist ein prima Spielpartner. Der Pizzaofen ist klasse... Es gibt wirklich nichts zu meckern!
