About this property
Mountain Get Away TN/NC border
The rental is unique in the sense that it surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest and you must travel on Forest Service Road to get here. So you don't want to come in a low clearance vehicle. The lower level rental opens up to deck where the creek is 180 degree of beautiful Tipton Creek rushing by 24/7. A pond is also on the property and offers a "fish house" for hanging out, camp fires, picnics, etc. In good weather and barring any burn bands there are two places for camp fires. There is a solo stove on your deck for small fires if you choose to use it. Use smaller wood like you buy in small bundles. There is some camp fire wood available but you might want to bring your own if you want to burn a lot. This rental is the lower level of my private home where the privacy of our guest is of the upmost priority. It is a full size living space with two "daylight" sides that offer plenty of light into its decor. Guest have their own private entrance and may request no contact arrival and departure with the home owner. Homeowner is always available by text.

About the host
Hosted by Beverly Buffington

Retired High School Secretary who fell in love with these mountains some 38 years ago! Been coming ever since! Built this house in 2008 and recently opened up the completely finished basement for rentals. I hope you love it as much as I do!
Why they chose this property
I knew I had to be here the first time I ever visited. It's private yet I have many friends here. The property itself has beautiful Tipton Creek rolling right outside our door. Its peaceful and calm here. My motto I stole from an ole friend is, Welcome to my World!
What makes this property unique
It really is peaceful here. The mountain air is good for the soul! I have the best tasting water ever. You can sit on the deck, or lay in the hammock or fish right outside the door for small brook trout if you like. Star gazing is phenomenal on a clear night. On occasion we have native wildlife visits. Wild turkeys, grouse, king fishers, my dreaded woodpeckers, hummingbirds, fish, owl, and at times an eagle can be sighted. On a rare occasion you might see a deer, bear or wild boar. The good news is they are always on the run... away from us! If you could stand a few days away from chaos of every day stress, this is your place. It really is my oasis. Maybe yours too?
