Dune House offers 'coastal chic' at its best. Decorated and furnished in a light and bright contemporary Scandi style, with comfort and luxury foremost in mind, the house is the perfect place for families, couples and friends looking for a special retreat. The four bedrooms are on the first floor (master with en suite, king size, twin and single with trundle) - all beds have quality mattresses and high thread count bed linen - along with a house bathroom (fluffy towels provided). Downstairs the superb modern kitchen, equipped with everything you can possibly need, has a generous dining area with bi-folding doors leading out into the rear garden; the perfect sociable space if you choose to dine in at any time of year. The spacious sitting room has lovely squashy sofas, a log burner to keep you super toasty and a large flat screen TV, with the of option of BT Sport, a DVD player and Sonos sound system, and is a wonderful place to relax, listen to music, chat the night away or catch up with your favourite film.
To the front of the house is a practical gravelled area allowing off-street parking for three cars whilst the rear garden is private and fully enclosed with a lawned area and outside seating for 8 people. A barbeque and charcoal are available.
There is an electric car charging point available for guests with a charge of £25.00 per car per stay.
Perfectly located, with easy access to the beach and many great local eating places, you might not want to venture too far afield but, if you do, you can always just catch the Coasthopper bus that regularly runs through the village all year round, and it will take you to all the other wonderful villages along this beautiful coastline. If you love golf, The Royal West Norfolk Golf Course, an outstanding links course, runs parallel to Brancaster bay and the saltmarsh. This is an area popular with walkers, sailors, cyclists, paddle boarders, kayakers and bird watchers. If you like shopping, trendy Burnham Market is just a few minutes drive away and, for beach lovers, the local one is truly stunning, as are nearby Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea.

Great location and very modern comfortable house

The house was very modern and had everything you would need for a break away in the uk. It’s close to the beach and there is a good pub in walking distance. There are also good pubs just a few minutes away in the car. We all really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the house.

Wonderful Stay

Fantastic house, very well equipped. The owner has obviously taken note of what other guests have said in regards to provision of items and now the house has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Very good location with bus stops just outside and the lovely Brancaster beach within walking distance.

Perfect getaway

Dune House is ideally located for Brancaster beach and the coastal path. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped, it has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard which makes it better than a home from home! Margaret was a pleasure to deal with when corresponding. We will return next summer if one if our visiting friends hasn't snapped it up first.

Great holiday with family and particularly 2 year old granddaughter. The house was exceptional with high quality throughout, not only the fab kitchen but bedding towels etc. The house manager Chris was a pleasure to deal with and exceptionally helpful. Location being walking distance to Brancaster beach and just a short drive to Holkham beach made it the perfect location . Could not recommend highly enough

Great property, great location

This is a really lovely property. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. The doors folding out to the garden were great on warm days. Excellent bbq available too. Brancaster itself is small but has a good local shop/deli and a pub serving good food. Other nearby delis made sure we were well fed too. The nearby beach is beautiful and during early July very quiet. Very easy by car to also visit other beaches along the coast and Burnham Market is not very far away. The first to arrive of our adult family group of 6 took the bus from Kings Lynn and handily the bus stop is very close to the house. Not sure how frequently it runs but as it makes its way along the coast the location of the house could also be good for those without a car. Both the owner and the manager were really helpful. My only suggestion would be to say in the welcome book where all the manuals are kept e.g. for the cooker. We used the power of Google until coming across them by accident in a drawer 😀 We wanted somewhere we could chill out and spoil ourselves. We definitely got that and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Lovely property, perfectly located

This is a beautiful house with a full modern renovation, located perfectly for all the sights of the North Norfolk coast. The property is warm, snug, impeccably clean, with a very new and well-equipped kitchen and every comfort thought of. It is moments from the village store for coffees and provisions, and also the most amazing park for children. It is also one minute from Brancaster beach, the jewel of this coastline. We loved our stay. We recommend very highly.

Comfortable clean well equipped house

Despite initial lack of communication from house manager around arrival day, the owner was helpful beforehand. We do much of our own cooking and the kitchen had everything. Whole house comfortable although settees were very low. Lots of fabulous small shops and delis even at the garage. Only bring or get supermarket shop for basics. Local meat and fish is amazing plus many highly rated pubs & restaurants nearby- one is 50m . Would definitely go back to this lovely area.

First impressions "I want to live here"! Perfect for our stay with 4 decent bedrooms (only needed 3 of them) and a fantastic Kitchen Diner, must be wonderful in the summer to open the bifold doors. Good enclosed garden and front drive area so our dog was very safe (the property also has stair gates so easy to keep him downstairs) Had a minor problem whilst we were there and both Chris, the house manager, and the owner were very easy to get hold of and sorted the problem very quickly. Lasting impression, "I want to live here"! We will definitely go back.

A very comfortable stay

An excellent rental property, spotlessly clean, decent quality furnishings and fittings, and everything you need for a comfortable break (although we did need to buy an oyster knife!) We had a fair bit of rain so the log fire was very welcome as were the nearby pubs and farmers market. Gurney's Fish Shop in Thornham is a must for fresh crab, oysters, and superb homemade frozen chowder and fish curries. A great choice of location and a well maintained property where everything works as it should. Highly recommended.

Simple the Best!

A luxurious but also a homely property. So much thought and effort has been put into the presentation and the fixtures and fittings. From 76 years of age down to 6 years, all seven of us loved it.

I was met by Chris the house manager who could not have been more helpful. The house was much nicer than the brochure. A great place for a long or short getaway. Kitchen fully equipped with lots of glasses plates etc. Luxury bedlinens and towels. Garden very private. Highly recommend.

Lovely house in great location

Our second stay in this lovely house in the centre of Brancaster, well located for fabulous Brancaster beach and the Norfolk coastal path. Dune House is very well equipped and recently refurbished with the modern kitchen rearranged to provide better access to the garden. The weather was kind and we managed several long walks on the local sandy beaches and across the salt marshes. This house is well located for lots of interesting places and we managed to visit Sandringham, the Walsingham shrines and Scolt Head island for the first time during our stay. Would definitely recommend to those looking for a convenient comfortable house on the North Norfolk coast.

Brilliant Brancaster Break!

Perfect place to stay with young children. We were luckily the first people to use the brand new kitchen which was great, and all the facilities were spot on - washing machine, dryer, wifi, two great bathrooms, separate loo etc. The beach was a nice walk away or a very short drive and was stunning, we were so lucky to have the most beautiful spring weather with big blue skies everyday. Fab crab hut a short drive away and even better fish shed, perfect Easter holiday!

Perfect for a family holiday!

We stayed at Dune House at the start of September 2016 and had a wonderful time. The house itself was perfect for our needs as a group of 4 adults and 4 pre-school children, and the location is a great base for exploring the north Norfolk coast. We hope to come back one day in the not too distant future!

Dune House hopefully will provide our guests an ideal base to explore Norfolk. It's location is perfect for the sandy beaches whilst having a range of activities close by.

Dune House is spacious, light and airy and offers a relaxing 'at-home' feel. The kitchen/diner is very well stocked for those of you who enjoy cooking. The layout of the large kitchen/diner makes it ideal to cook & chat over a drink at the same time,

Short breaks are available on request, excluding peak periods : 3 night's from Friday to Monday and 4 night's from Monday to Friday, please do get in touch for availability and cost.

What makes this property unique

Brancaster and Holkham Beach

Best kept (former!) secret are the seals on Brancaster beach - if you turn left behind golf club and keep walking there are usually find several swimming close to the shoreline

Favourite walk from Burnham overy Staithe to Holkham

There are so many wonderful foodie places to eat. Sandringham, Holkham Hall, Blickling hall and Felbrigg Hall are all within easy reach, not forgetting Norfolk Lavender at Heacham.

For birdwatchers, the coastline is renowned for its nature reserves and in our view nowhere in the UK can improve on this.

We also can arrange 3 and 4 night stays except high season dates.
